I have been trying to make a stop at pineapple Hutt for the past couple years and I may be mistaken but I believe it used to have limited hours and was food truck so I was excited to see expanded hours and location! I definitely wasn't expecting it to be where it was but it's on the street running parallel to the city market. The line was long and the credit card machine was down so I had to get cash. However, the time I returned, it was up and running. I went with the peach and pineapple and it was good- peach tasted more on the artificial flavor but at least it's low calorie healthier choice! It is dairy free, vegan, gluten free, low calorie but honestly I'd have to say it looks better than it tastes. It's ice cream but it's not creamy- more so tastes like an icee but regardless, was refreshing and glad I finally had a chance to try it!

This is a must have if you're around Charleston. It was so light and refreshing. Perfect sweet treat option.

I've been hearing about this place for ages and finally got to try it today while visiting Folly - and it absolutely did not disappoint! I went with a regular pineapple and cherry swirl, and it was sooo good. On such a hot day, it was the perfect sweet treat to help cool me down. Honestly, I'd eat this every day if I could. This spot is a must-visit when you're in Folly!

Ordered a couple pineapple whips at the mermaid's festival on Folly. Yummy not too sweet! I'll be back for another refreshing treat!

The pineapple float wasn't as good as my beloved dole whip float at Disney, and it was FAR smaller than in the pictures. It was also $7.46, which is much more expensive than pictured.

Very tasty pineapple soft serve. My first time in SC having this. I heard it's a Southern thing.

My beloved Pineapple Hut! So light and refreshing, great pineapple flavor, and getting it IN the half pineapple with pineapple chunks at the bottom is for sure the way to go. It's a little cart/shop front and if you blink you might miss it, but it's so worth a visit while you're walking out and about downtown Charleston. The girl behind the counter was super friendly too.

I love pineapple so much that I came here twice during my visit to Charleston (in case you were wondering, yes, I was definitely the weird kid who liked pineapples on my pizza--and still do)! I was already sold on the pineapple whip alone but if you want to take it up a notice and upgrade, the Pineapple Float and Paradise Whip (basically a pineapple float IN a pineapple) will win you over either way. I couldn't bring myself to get the Paradise Whip since it comes in a huge portion, but I so would if I didn't come on a nearly full stomach on both occasions. There aren't a lot of non-dairy or lighter ice cream options nearby so this is the perfect refreshing treat if you need a lighter pick-me-up. It's a great spot with plenty of seating outside of a food hall in a super busy area to chill out. This town has many by-the-scoop ice cream shops but this is a great choice if you ever want something different!

Grabbed a pineapple soft serve here, and it was pretty good. Smooth texture, refreshing flavor, and the price was fair. I just wish it had a bit more tartness to cut through the sweetness. Service was straightforward and efficient--no frills, just gets the job done. No seating, so it's strictly a grab-and-go spot, but it's convenient. Wouldn't mind stopping by again.

Can't go wrong with pineapple whip. Nothing more to say, it was literally just pineapple sorbet in a cup, but it was very pleasant. It was very refreshing for a hot day. Service was great. The pineapple hut was very cute. Check this place out! I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of the actual pineapple whip, that's an L on my part.

We placed our order around 6:50 PM. The man running the truck (the only one working) even commented about how slow business was. Despite that, by 7:40 we still hadn't gotten our food though several people who ordered after us had already been served. When my boyfriend checked, the guy said there was still "one person ahead of us" and that he'd bring the food over when ready. Around 8:00 PM over an hour later he finally came out with two sandwiches. But instead of what we ordered (one Classic and one Chicken Bacon Ranch), he handed us two Classics. When my boyfriend asked if one of them was ours, he said yes, but then immediately walked over and gave one of the sandwiches to another couple waiting. It seemed clear that he had completely forgotten about our order and just tried to hand us someone else's food. At that point, we were left with just one correct sandwich after waiting more than an hour. He told us he'd fix it quickly, and about five minutes later brought out the Chicken Bacon Ranch we had originally ordered. Earlier, he had offered us a refund because of the long wait, but when we asked about it after getting the corrected order, he became defensive and irate. He told us things like: "If you were in a restaurant you'd wait 30 minutes," (we had waited over an hour). and "Why would I refund you, you seem to be enjoying that sandwich just fine," (while we were sharing one sandwich because we were starving). He also tried to guilt us by explaining that he pays for everything himself and even asked for "compensation" despite the fact I had already tipped him 20% when we first ordered. Instead of apologizing, he raised his voice across the bar, made us feel like we were the problem, and then walked away mid-conversation. As someone who works in food and beverage, I know mistakes happen but the way you handle them is what defines good service. This was the exact opposite: poor organization, extremely long wait, wrong order, broken promises of a refund, and an worker who treated us rudely instead of professionally.

Both made our day! I will say: Duncan makes the best Berry Coladas!! That drink is SO GOOD! it tastes like a coconut berry smoothie (we got the alcoholic version with rum, but there's a nonalcoholic version as well). Once our table was ready, we were moved to a booth. The overall decor is coastal and cute, with basket-lighting, wooden booths, and multiple ways to order! You can order via your server, QR code, or a paper ballot. We started off with the large sized chips & guac. I was skeptical at first because the guacamole doesn't have tomato, but it was VERY good! We devoured it! For tacos: we got: The baja fish taco: one of my favorites--the fish is perfectly crispy The crispy duck taco: good! Not super crispy, but definitely tasty The cauliflower taco: a surprise hit! I found the flavors very refreshing and well seasoned! The tuna taco on a bed of lettuce: this one can get messy. I ordered with my stomach instead of reading the fine print that it doesn't come in a traditional taco tortilla. The overall taco is good and the tuna has excellent flavor. The taco does come loaded with a sauce that tends to spill--so eat over the tray! My sister got the carne asada taco, and she felt that it could have been better. She felt the carne asada itself was bland and relied on the sauce for flavor. Because this is a chain, I will continue you to go to them because their food is reliably good. However, on busy days, expect a 30 minute+ wait to be seated here. The guacamole, the drinks, and the tacos are overall very good! I found that ordering 5 tacos was more than enough to fill me. My sister and I split our bill of berry coladas, large chips & guac, and tacos (5 per person) came out to $33.53 per person (with tax and tip).

We went back for our missing tacos, and they gave us an extra along with some chips for free. Overall, the food 10/10, but unfortunately the service could not live up to the same standard.

However, I made a promise that I would only have sugar if it's GOOD sugar, and I found that at Off Track. I just loved it here. "It's too expensive" - get over it, that's what you pay for high quality. "There's a huge line" - grab a pint of B&J at Harris Teeter instead and call it a night. Finally went last night with my date du jour and, as expected, HUGE line which didn't bother me at all. It moved fairly quickly, but would have moved more so if a few overweight women in line didn't ask to sample every flavor. One benefit of the long line is it gave me the chance to change my mind a total of nineteen times before hitting the register, finally opting for a fresh waffle cone loaded with peanut butter pie and fudgy chocolate brownie. A+ on the ice cream - creamy and delicious, just like my date du jour. Only slight (and I mean SLIGHT) complaint was how thin the waffle cone was, causing the ice cream to drip all over me (again, just like my date du jour). We got two double cones for about $21, and I'd pay that again. Super high quality and the ice cream was not overly sweet. I absolutely loved the big chunks of peanut butter in the one and massive chunk of brownie in the other. Made me feel like I was having a "ménage a trios" in my mouth.
