Dr. Jessup is a wonderful cat vet. She takes her time with The patient (cat), and if there is a…read moreproblem, goes out of her way to discuss the different differentials (what might be wrong), and the way to proceed in each case. My cat Maggie and myself got to know Dr. Jessup really well when my kitty came down with a liver illness. First of all, Maggie had to be seen urgently when it was noticed she was jaundiced during a vaccine clinic. Maggie's normal vet could not work Maggie in that day (height of COVID) - but FCAH said if we could come right away, she would get worked in. So we stuck with Dr.Jessup from that point on, she was so kind and sweet to Maggie with all of her appointments And Dr. Jessup would go out of her way to reach out to me with the different lab tests results and findings, even after hours. Maggie's case was difficult and rare, so medically it was very challenging and sad in the long run, but I highly recommend Dr. Jessup and her staff! As long as I have cats, she will be their veterinarian.

I am writing this review with an extremely heavy heart. I have been taking my babies here for years…read moreand in the beginning(with Dr Krauss) they did a wonderful job but the care has steadily declined over the years with almost no contact with an actual Vet in the last couple of years. After taking my dog in and her getting a clean bill of health on June 8th on June 19th I had to take her back in for excessive bleeding in her mouth, thinking maybe she had an infected tooth we were given the crushing news that she had an aggressive tumor growing in her jaw. We were told of our few options, and we went home with a couple of prescriptions and agonized over what to do. After spending a day or two crying, having to watch my poor baby continuously bleeding from her mouth(at times heavily) we sadly made the decision to end her suffering. Wanting her to go peacefully, at home and in her own bed My husband spent days building her a box and digging a grave (in the rain) for her forever home. We went in on the 23rd and tried to make an appointment for June 26th but we were told they could not be here until June 27th so we spent a very emotional week waiting for what we hoped would be a peaceful transition but what we endured was an excruciating ordeal that I'm not sure we will ever recover from. After taking care of my baby for years and knowing her size and weight they neglected to bring enough tranquilizer to put her to sleep. She was terrified and when they tried to give it to her she started to get up and the vet just jabbed it into her, making her cry out in pain. Instead of maybe leaving the room to let her calm down they waited a few minutes and preceded to give her the next 2 shots as my husband held her, I had to look into those terrified eyes while they did this. The only words from the vet (Dr Knick) was "she's gone" and the young lady with her mumbled "sorry for your loss" as they walked out the door. I am sharing my story because I don't want anyone else to have to endure this. Maggie gave us almost 10 years of unconditional love and I had to watch her leave here in terror instead of peace and I don't know if we will ever get over that look in her eyes, she deserved so much better than that! My review is based off of a few years of coming here. First off they love my pets. The minute we…read morecome in Jessica greets our dogs by name, and gives them love. We're waited on quickly, and by quickly I mean within 10 minutes. I used to go to Vinton Vet and it would take up to 30 minutes to be seen. Dr Reece is an amazing vet who gives the time needed to make sure our animals are doing well. If you left a bad review I'm sure you must be a bad pet owner because this place feels like a group of people who really care about animals.

I have taken my beloved family members here for several years for medical care. Here, as far as I…read moreknow, my kids [animals] have received excellent medical care. However, it becomes obvious this organization has more compassion for the almighty U.S. Dollar than they have compassion for the pet owners bank account. For example: I took in a feral cat for an obvious mouth pain problem. I thought the cat needed a couple of bad teeth pulled. In the exam room I told the Vet Assistant what I thought was the problem. I explained it was a feral cat that would not allow me to touch it. It lived in the barn, I bought a Drop Trap to catch it. It was not a beloved family member. It pawed at it's mouth like it was in pain, it may have a couple of bad teeth that should be pulled .... I never received a phone call with an estimate, or alterative options like Euthanize the Cat. When I was told the cat was ready to go home, I was told the cat had a serious teeth/gum disease and the bill WAS OVER TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS !!! Like I said, no compasion for the customers bank account. But here, the U.S. Dollar, above all else, gets their attention. This place offers excellent healthcare at a PREMIUM ! And not forthcoming with estimates. Be ready to pay BIGTIME.

I cannot recommend this facility more! There are very few long-term boarding facilities available…read morein the US and im sure even fewer that are as amazing as Dancing Creek Farms. The cabins are not only heated and cooled but incredibly spacious. The grounds are extremely well taken care of and provide ample running space for pups during their outings. And the people who work here are so incredibly caring. I feel thankful every day that we have found this amazing space. My moms dogs have been here since around May of 2025 and they are so loved and taken care of, it helps ease our hearts knowing how well they are being treated at Dancing Creek Farm. If you need a long or short term boarding, this is absolutely the best place to go.

We would never take a dog to any other facility except DCF!!…read more We took our dog, a 9-month-old GSD, to DCF, because he became too much for us to handle. He didn't listen to anyone, would and could drag me down the street, ran out onto a major highway from the vet's office, and had become a danger to himself and us. I looked all over the east coast to find someone that was highly rated, and someone that could take him immediately. Then, through my neighbor, Jodi Rogers, I found Dancing Creek Farm. From Intake to bringing our dog home, everything was spectacular. His trainer was Cassie, who is the best ever trainer. She trained not only our puppy, but us as well! DCF dealt with out-of-control behavior with this pup, as well as skin issues (itching), and teenage hormones too! They got his diet on track for what he needed, and explained the importance of the correct diet to us so we understood it. We now have a different pup. He is respectful, we are his leader, we can keep him safe through proper control techniques, and we can totally enjoy this wonderful, loving GSD. This facility, and all its staff, are total professionals. The overall care is phenomenal, and these folks love what they do - and it shows. We will never be able to thank Cassie and all the staff enough for how they have enriched our pup's life, as well as ours. There is peace at home at last!
