I want recommendations from a professional but I don't want to be told "you have to do this". I want to feel like I'm being helped; I don't want to feel like I'm being "sold". Stopped in right after closing on a Saturday, desperately needing to order a couple windows for a remodel project. Two years ago as part of a major remodeling project on our home we got information and prices for Pella windows. The salesman brought a sample and showed us the benefits of the windows. We purchased the windows. Casement windows with mini blinds in between the glass, roll up screens and tinted windows. We were replacing 40 year old Pella windows. The cost was 50k plus. They looked great when installed until the sun signed. Suddenly the windows were foggy. The dealer sent people out to try and clean the glass in between the glass. They left a mess, just smeared the mess around. Further correspondence with the Columbus dealer was ignored and they will not answer my calls or emails. I hired a professional window cleaners and tested cleaning which worked but Pella refuses to cover the cost of whatever is on the windows from the factory. Additionally the sample window had features we liked and bought. The installed windows are different and not user friendly. Shame on Pella. Now I am left with clean up the mess myself at my expense. Contract signed 6/2021 and I am still waiting for screens (as damaged ones were installed) and this is how they left the living room windows. Buyer beware! And as of July 2022, I am still waiting! In case it's helpful, Pella by Gunton Corporation on 9009 Gemini Parkway, Brian Kelley Replacement Sales Specialist is who measured, and then his Manager (Chris?) drove out "special" to try to convince me that it's fine. We are delighted with our replacement Pella windows! We opted for the Architect series wood windows; the Provincial (brown) stain matches our 1931 window trim beautifully. Over the past 15 years, in three stages, we replaced all the windows in our house with Pella Architect. Dave Amry, the Pella sales rep, came to our house to measure and provide a written quote. He is very knowledgeable and a super nice guy. Demand for windows is high during the Covid 19 pandemic, and I had to reach out to him three times before he came out. It was worth the wait. Tim Smith was the team leader on our installation. He and his co-worker wore masks most of the time they were inside and were very professional, explaining the process, demonstrating the tilt-in feature, cleaning up after themselves, and getting the six windows installed in one day. I was surprised to discover they had planted a Pella sign in front of my house. I also found some sharp, rusty screws from our old storm windows laying in the driveway. Glad they didn't puncture my tire. We are very happy with the new Pella windows! read more

Pella Windows and Doors in Columbus Oh has great windows and the installation was good . But getting the windows was very poor and communication with Pella was impossible. Three times we were told installation would happen but on morning of installation we were called to say the windows were not available. It seems the Pella associate had no clue. It is frustrating to move furniture, put the day aside and then get called to inform us the windows were not available. I would probably use them again but would not rely on install date. read more

The windows look great the job is still not done they ordered the wrong parts and our house is still torn up. Also the seals should never have left the factory they are damaged and I found where they did not install the screw plugs in the window frames would I recommend Pella no read more

We purchased a Pella Patio Door 3 months ago. A mistake was made during installation and unknown to us, the locking mechanism didn't work correctly. The deadbolt was not locking the door even though it appeared to lock from the inside. Since installation our back door has not locked. A Pella maintenance person came out to repair it. It was an easy fix, installing a longer pin for the deadbolt. It's unfortunate how Pella has handled this mistake and safety issue. I called and left detailed messages to the installation manager, sales specialist, and project coordinator. Not one Pella employee has reached out to 1) return my calls 2) followed through with the recent maintenance done to the door. I don't consider the amount spent a small amount of money and have been surprised with the lack of customer service and follow through. Based on this experience, we will not be using Pella for future door and window replacement projects. read more

Premium price and marketing...horrific customer service and installation. Do not expect timely responses to issues, that will arise due the the poorly trained installers. Do not expect an apology or empathy, you get nothing. Do not expect respect for YOUR time, they will be late, slow and not respond to emails or insist you speak to some else. Expect WEEKS to diagnose and correct mistakes. Pella must pocket all the profits from their very expensive products because they are certainly not investing that in training or quality people. read more

I swore by Pella and had all of my windows and storm doors replaced by Pella. My house is 33 years old, so some of my replacement windows need replaced again. Again, I looked to Pella. The first time Hegg replaced them. This time, I went with Gunton. What a colossal mistake. They tore the screen in one of my lower windows below where they were working. They left debris in the yard and the biggest issue- one of the windows was not installed properly- I can slide my finger all the way into the side where it is sticking out from the bedroom wall. Emailed the rep, sent pictures. She said she would get me on the service schedule. Are you joking? Send the installation team back out to finish the job. As of this post, I have traded 20 messages with this lady and spent way too much time on trying to get the job done right. I feel I spent considerable money on these windows, $11k. I don't need this inconvenience. read more

Windows are great, But after the installation is complete and your check has cleared the bank you are forgotten about. My windows were installed in January and had 2 issues. The first was the bottom of one of the upstairs windows had a hole in the Plastic at the bottom of the window. Originally I thought it was a leaf that has stuck there during the rain. When I finally got a good look at it and realized it was a hole I called my sales man. Never received a phone call back. I then called Jill who set up my installation. She made an appointment for a service call but it was a month out. No problem, The guy came and looked and said they would be in touch with me. A month goes by and I had to call Jill again. Didn't get a response from her right away so I called her a few times and she finally answered. She had someone come out a week or so later to make the repair. During the install they messed up the plaster and paint on the wall next to one of the windows. The installers actually repaired the plaster but I am left with 2 areas with no paint and looks terrible. I asked again about wether they would repair this and jill said they do windows and don't do paint but she would check with her boss and get back to me. I haven't heard anything back for about a month now. I am not asking for the room to be painted, All I would like is the paint matched and the touchups done. I even said i would do it myself if they purchased the paint. Maybe writing this review will help??? read more

Having a problem with a broken latch on my Pella storm door. My Handyman told me "just take pictures of it and go to the Pella store- they are really helpful" Apparently not so much if you are a non white female in casual clothes-treated with condescension by the white sales man who sent me away with a phone number and email. I told him I'd already used the website and made two calls. Couldn't he be "bothered" to pick up the phone and call for me since I've been having a problem and not getting the help I need? On Friday 8/2/19 - Saturday 8/3/19 we had 7 Pella Encompass Windows installed in our home. We replaced the builder grade windows that were original in our 30 year old home. The two men that installed our windows, Larry and Hector, from Pella Columbus were truly a joy to work with and a pleasure to have in our home. Their workmanship, attention to detail, and cleanliness was outstanding. They respected my wife and I and our home. Our salesman, Joe, even stopped by to check in on the installation. I recommend without hesitation Pella Windows, Pella Columbus, Larry, Hector, and Joe. My wife and I say "We love our new Pella Windows!" We spent a good deal of time looking for replacement Windows for the front of our home, and are very happy we selected this location. The sales representative was very knowledgeable and discussed the pros and cons of various options. The installers did a beautiful job, and even though rain stopped work for a couple of hours they stayed late to finish the job so we wouldn't be inconvenienced by having to be home a second day. Now that we've been through some sub-zero temperatures we truly know how solidly installed they are, with no air leaks. The Windows themselves provide great insulation, and our heating bills have dropped significantly. read more

I ordered $12,000 worth of windows and after 3 months, 7 home visits, 3 broken windows, 4 times window parts were made incorrectly, 2 times that service appointments were called off, I STILL HAVE TWO FAULTY WINDOWS! I was "assured" the last time that the parts would come in correct and "QC" would double check before sending them out. Of course I get a call today about an appointment (that no one told me I had) being canceled because once AGAIN, the parts came in wrong. They offered me a 5% discount but after all this, I wouldn't have paid them a dime for this type of service and product. I would NEVER recommend any one to use this company and anyone who is thinking about using them, DON'T unless you like to be ripped off and jerked around for months on end. read more

I called Pella directly to find someone locally to do the repairs. I was again informed that they do not service them.
