UPDATE: Ken Barrett reached out and fixed the issues with my car, and they did it for free. Thank…read moreyou! --- Have you ever left a place and just cried? This is what just happened to me when I left the Ken Barrett Chevrolet Cadillac dealership in Batavia, because I got a crappy deal and now I'm stuck with it (because god forbid I've been serving our country overseas and haven't been able to be back within 30 days). This is my second posting on Yelp, so we'll see how long it stays up. I bought a used 2008 Audi A4 in mid-June. Aside from major issues with the finance folks, the car itself is now having major issues. The service department missed a major EVAP leak causing the engine light to go on, new brake rotors and pads are needed (even after I replaced the brake pads two weeks after buying the car), and the tire pressor sensor is broken. There is no greater feeling than buying a car and within two weeks having a lot of flashing lights on your dash. (Sarcasm.) My side mirrors don't open/close like they should and as a minor note, I've also already replaced brake lights. I took the car to an actual Audi dealership for the 75,000 service because there were so many issues and they also informed me that I'm missing an engine guard underneath the car. The dealership told me "someone could have stolen it" (probably not the case since the car is parked in our garage with a 100+ pound territorial dog protecting the house) and furthermore when they looked into the service before the sale, since it wasn't certified I wasn't provided with a service report and they would have caught the EVAP leak because they turned on the AC before selling. The dealership also told me "why would we buy a $10,000 car and put $5,000 into it?" Hence, they didn't fix anything, although they did put on new tires - which leads me to wonder why they didn't notice the need for new brake rotors and pads (I've gone less than 3,000 miles and it's all highway so I'm not resting on the brakes). I was sold a $15,000 2008 lemon - and this dealership has caused me major stress and now is causing me an additional $5,000 in service/parts to even keep my lemon of a car running. My fiance is buying a new Silverado Chevy truck next week. He's staying far far away from Ken Barrett. You should avoid it too.

I hit a dog and damaged the right front wheel well liner, the right fender, and the bumper. Took it…read moreto Barretts collision center, because I bought the car from Barretts. This was a nightmare from start to finish. They called and claimed the car was done and I could pick it up. I get home and inspect the repair and find there were plastic fasteners missing from the left front wheel well liner. The car was filthy, something was spilled down the right front of the vehicle from the mirror down to the bottom of the door. Took it back and they replaced the fastners. They gave me an appointment to get the Ziebart strips replaced, then called the day before the appt and said they couldn't get the car done. I walked home in the rain, and had to walk back to get the car in the rain. Thius scenario repeated itself 3 times wherer I dropped the car off, walked home and had to walk back and get the car. I had to finally set up my own appointment to get the Ziebart strips replaced. The accident happened in late July, Barretts collision center got me in in early Sept. In December of that year I noticed the drivers side front door was making noise when being opened or closed. One morning I went out opened the door and the fender crumpled. Took it back to Barretts and the collision manager told me this was typical for the Equinox, they rot out where the fender is connected to the frame. I said, you mean to tell me this rotted out in 3 months after the collision work, or was it already rotting when you worked on it and failed to inform me. I was never offered a loaner any of the 2x I had to walk in the rain. They also threw the old Ziebart strip on the floor in the back seat. My dog found it and it was stuck to him. I wouldn't let these clowns put air in my bicycle tires. My next car will not be from Barretts. My family had previously bought 5 vehicles from this dealership.

I recommend being extremely cautious when looking at this dealership for anything. Service,…read morepurchases, etc. They do not communicate well. Will blame other departments, parties, or systems if communication breaks down. They are not aware of their own stock and sell vehicles as quickly as possible to whoever, regardless or appointments or prior agreements. Over 4 hours of time and 160 miles of driving spent to speak to someone for less than 3 minutes in person. I was not able to see a single vehicle and was told it was someone else's fault within the institution. Any criticism showing how unprofessional this facility behaves will be mocked, and customers will be laughed out of the room. They clearly are not hurting for business if this is how they behave. I caution any possible current or future customers.

General manager/Salesman worked on getting exactly what I wanted. Thanks guys ! Update : I find it hard when people complain about they didn't get what they wanted , I think they impulse buy and sign then regret it and take it out on dealer . I had cash down on my car didn't sign called dealer day before I was scheduled to pick up.car and wanted an upgrade , they were accommodating and very professional about it and got what i wanted. For Service department live in Buffalo rather take it here vs a high volume /Quick fix service department
