Scheduled an oil change 8am, an hour later they finally pulled my car up. I went in, the associate stated it'll be 5-10 more mins before she has the paperwork. The tech comes out and says that I need front tires and brakes, my back windshield wiper not working. I said who told you to inspect my car, i'm here for a 15 min oil change, not an inspection. I have to go to work. The associate was unpleasant. Next time, I'll take my business(oil change) to Take-5 down the road. read more

**** updating to say, it is Monday morning and I just got my car back. We explain the situation and they were happy to vacuum out the broken glass and everything works again like normal. I got a rock put through my back window on my car from a lawnmower. I filed an insurance claim through progressive. Ken Barretts was able to get my car in the very next day, which was wonderful! I drop the car off first thing in the morning, and it was ready to be picked up within the day. I just live around the corner. So it was easy to walk to. When I opened my trunk, I could hear glass shards from the broken window still inside of the door. And some pieces were spilling out. It got to the point where these pieces were jamming the mechanism to keep my back hatch locked. Because it was Saturday (took it in Friday) night by the time I realized it, there was nothing I could do. I did my best to get it to close, but it popped open while driving. Now I have it tapped down, hoping it won't happen on my way to work (I work on sundays.) Very disappointed that they didn't do the job all the way. I received a business card in an envelope that looked like it was hand written from Ken Barrett. It said they were interesting in buying my truck and could get me into a lower payment. I know the vehicle I want it's the same thing I have just newer. A new truck would be great and a lower payment would be a bonus if only it came true. I emailed the Sales manager who passed me off to a sales man. Back and for a few hours and essentially this guy didn't want to quote or do anything until I came in. Yes trading in my current leased vehicle I know it needs to be seen but I wanted to get some rough numbers to see if the payment would actually be lower. I stopped in after work, which you think they would like as there was not one other customer in the dealership. The sales man had to call Chevy Finance to get my current trucks info, as we sat he was having a lot of issues obtaining the numbers so he went to talk with the sales manager to get the info. An hour of my time and finally get a payment and it's not even close to lower! . Since visiting Ken Barrett I emailed Bob Johnson and Paddock. Ken Barrett had one white vehicle, Bob Johnson had 110, talk about a selection! Both of these dealerships were more than happy to give me prices without me coming in. I was surprised the time difference taken by these two dealerships the experiences were night and day compared to the back and forth emails and sitting in the dealership at Ken Barrett. Ken Barrett comes in at $470, $70's higher in my payment. Bob Johnson $390, Paddock $410. Don't believe the post cards or waste your time with Ken Barrett do yourself a favor and contact a dealer with a better selection, who respects your time and willing to work without you sitting there and actually gives you a good deal! read more

UPDATE: Ken Barrett reached out and fixed the issues with my car, and they did it for free. Thank you! --- Have you ever left a place and just cried? This is what just happened to me when I left the Ken Barrett Chevrolet Cadillac dealership in Batavia, because I got a crappy deal and now I'm stuck with it (because god forbid I've been serving our country overseas and haven't been able to be back within 30 days). This is my second posting on Yelp, so we'll see how long it stays up. I bought a used 2008 Audi A4 in mid-June. Aside from major issues with the finance folks, the car itself is now having major issues. The service department missed a major EVAP leak causing the engine light to go on, new brake rotors and pads are needed (even after I replaced the brake pads two weeks after buying the car), and the tire pressor sensor is broken. There is no greater feeling than buying a car and within two weeks having a lot of flashing lights on your dash. (Sarcasm.) My side mirrors don't open/close like they should and as a minor note, I've also already replaced brake lights. I took the car to an actual Audi dealership for the 75,000 service because there were so many issues and they also informed me that I'm missing an engine guard underneath the car. The dealership told me "someone could have stolen it" (probably not the case since the car is parked in our garage with a 100+ pound territorial dog protecting the house) and furthermore when they looked into the service before the sale, since it wasn't certified I wasn't provided with a service report and they would have caught the EVAP leak because they turned on the AC before selling. The dealership also told me "why would we buy a $10,000 car and put $5,000 into it?" Hence, they didn't fix anything, although they did put on new tires - which leads me to wonder why they didn't notice the need for new brake rotors and pads (I've gone less than 3,000 miles and it's all highway so I'm not resting on the brakes). I was sold a $15,000 2008 lemon - and this dealership has caused me major stress and now is causing me an additional $5,000 in service/parts to even keep my lemon of a car running. My fiance is buying a new Silverado Chevy truck next week. He's staying far far away from Ken Barrett. You should avoid it too. read more
