They were so nice. I limped over to their shop and had two blown tie rods. I had an extremely awful and frustrating experience taking my Wagoneer here for electrical and window issues. I was very clear upfront that I only wanted them to diagnose the problem and see if a repair was even possible, not necessarily proceed with the work immediately. They took my money for the diagnostic service, but then provided practically zero communication. I had to call multiple times for an update, and each time I was given a vague excuse, typically that they were "waiting on a quote." This went on for far too long. The lack of proactive updates and transparency was unacceptable. I eventually had to simply give up and retrieve my vehicle because I couldn't get a clear answer or timeline. I paid them, but they failed to deliver on communication or any clear path forward. I would never go back or recommend this service department. I wanted a Jeep Renegade dark gray and searching for one on the internet on a Sunday when all dealers are closed. I got an email from Chris here first thing Monday morning connecting with me. I called him right away and he started the search to make sure I'd be able to pick up my Jeep that night. Other dealers called me and offered subpar service while Chris and the team stayed on their mission to getting me my Jeep that day. Around 12 I got a call say I'd be approved and is it okay to run the credit check. I said yes and then 2:15 I was told to come on over to pick up my new Jeep whenever I was ready! I bought a van from them back in May, had my van for one day before it broke down and was towed to the shop with MAJOR ENGINE FAILURE!!! 17 days later they said it was fixed but it wasn't they asked me to wait 30 days for my extended warranty to kick in to fix the issues!' 9 days later my van was broke down AGAIN!! My engine is bad and needs to be replaced. They fraudulently got my warranty company to pay for a whole motor repair when they sold the van like that!! Even the called me several times begging me to not put up reviews along with employees after hours on their personal numbers pretty much harassing me!!! It took over a month for the warranty company to approve the work! My van was towed there for the second time on JULY 6th. I finally picked my van up today on SEPTEMBER 4th!!!!! Obviously since my car broke down and had to be towed there so a lot of my personal items were still left in my van. One of those things being a pair of Versace sunglasses and an Apple Watch. I find out today my $700 sunglasses are gone and no one knows anything!! The extra lens are there (because I had my eye doctor put me prescription lens on) but not the damn sunglasses!!! We suddenly needed to replace my husband's pickup truck. On New Year's Eve, we started shopping online using TrueCar. We identified a used F-150 pickup truck at this dealership that was a great fit for our needs that if it was as good as it sounded, we would purchase ASAP. I sent a message via TrueCar that we were interested in the truck, not expecting a response until Saturday as it was the evening of New Year's Eve and the next day was a holiday. We received an email confirmation from TrueCar that the vehicle was available and that the price quoted was good until January 4th. Surprisingly, a little later, I received a phone call from a Salesman at the dealership. We set up an appointment to inspect the truck and test drive it on Saturday. When we arrived at the dealership at 1 p.m. we found out that our salesperson was not at work due to a family emergency. Another salesperson proceeded to start to help us. However. very quickly she informed us that someone else had already put a deposit on the truck we wanted to buy. Excuse me?? To say we were ticked off after driving from Lancaster to Batavia see the truck-- that was no longer available-- is an understatement. I'm not sure if this dealership only worries about who is going to buy the vehicles the quickest--so they don't honor any previous commitments. If we had been told that it would be a good safe guard to put down a refundable deposit on the vehicle, we would have done so. But considering we made this appointment 7 p.m. on New Year's Eve AND the dealership was not open on New Year's Day AND we were going to see the vehicle on a scheduled appointment early on Saturday afternoon, we figured (incorrectly) that we had covered all our bases. So, just a word to the wise: if you're contemplating doing business with this dealership, please be sure to cover your ass. read more

I have to say that Castilone Dealership is rated #1 in Western New York..... This is the second time buying my vehicle from them. The first time I was so excited to get my 2017 Jeep Renegade and they did everything in their power to get me in that. It was difficult because my credit was poor. But they did it!!!!! I've visited this dealership only because of my warranty. I had two visits where I was scheduled for my appointment and staff acted surprised I was there for my service. I don't really know where to take this. Let me start with the facts. My husband turned in his leased Equinox to have the residual payments rolled into the so called -straw purchase/lease- of a 2017 Jeep Wrangler. I had the initial contact with J. Saldi. He is the finance person. When my husband and daughter returned home with the new vehicle, everything started to collapse. Financing, different than what was originally discussed, servicing??? No paperwork was ever sent to my insurance company for "NEW PURCHASE/LEASE". Easy enough to deal with however now I am getting certified letters from Ally, the finance organization, telling me that Castilione never turned in an odometer statement. Nor did they turn in a damage statement for the returned lease vehicle. Jimmy Saldi has effectively blocked anyone from my household from contacting him via email. I'm also guessing that he manages the contact info via the dealership website. I NEVER get a response using the "Contact Us" form. Certified letter - we shall give that a go. Subpoena? Worst experience ever! I ordered a new 1500 Ram Bighorn truck in March, 2021 only to have it completely screwed up. This dealership has very questionable unethical practices. One minute I was told by my salesman Cory on, 1 June, 2021 that my vehicle had arrived; to sorry your vehicle is still on order. Cory had sent me pictures at my request and the MSRP sticker, and I noticed several options that were not on vehicle, as well as options that shouldn't be, and informed him of such. He then stated that this is the vehicle that Steve Jr. mistakenly ordered first, and that mine was still on order. Because of all the mistakes that were made by this dealership, I was contemplating buying this one, and not waiting any longer so I took the 44 mile drive out to the dealership the next day. After test driving and talking to Cory about the vehicle, I asked him if he had heard anything more about the specific truck I had ordered, and he said that it was still being built and because of microchips shortages things were being delayed. I then requested that if someone was interested in this vehicle please let me know and give an option of buying if other vehicle looks to be delayed longer than anticipated since they original told me it would be in by mid May or early June for delivery, and he agreed. Two and half weeks later after sending text messages and calling dealership inquiring on vehicle with no response from either Cory or Steve Jr. I finally get a call from the owner Steve Sr. whom I had not spoken with before and he leaves message that he was told I had been calling for two or three days and was returning my call. I call him back and get the standard apology for someone not getting back sooner, but he has been busy in court and then proceeds to ask me why I had not picked up my vehicle on their lot? A little confused, I tell him your salesman Cory informed me that my vehicle was still being built, and the one on the lot was not mine, but a mistaken order by Steve Jr., and I began explaining everything from the beginning. Starting with the first day I entered his dealership early March, 2021, in which I test drove, negotiated and decided buy the truck on the lot, only to discover after beginning paperwork that the truck had been sold the day before. Twice more similar instances happen with vehicles that I said his dealership was going to get from another dealership after negotiating price. I then informed him that is when I decided to order new, and that the truck on the lot was one of the mistakes his son made during that process because my truck had Level 1 Safety Group options, 2O" wheels, bucket seats, no Off Road Package etc. He then informed me that because of the microchip shortage that some of the packages I wanted couldn't be completed at this time, and that this truck had been kicked back, I guess to mean, not ordered. He then proceeded to tell me that since the truck on the lot had not been picked up within the two week stipulation, which I had never was been informed of, voided of all rebates amounting to $6750.00, and that there was nothing he could do about it. Then proceeded to ask me if I still wanted the truck because he was going to have a hard time selling it with all the options that were on it? Let me get this straight I say; you want me to buy the vehicle on the lot for 7 to 8 thousand dollars more because you guys didn't inform of the two week window, and took your sweet time getting back to me, only after this had expired, to informed me that the truck I did order was kicked back, all because of your mistakes? I wanted to tell him where to go but I held my tongue. He suggested I come in so we could talk this out with his son and straighten it out. What are we gonna straighten out, I ask, if you can't and won't give me similar price or better than the truck I was going to buy? The MSRP for this truck was $55,000 and the MSRP for the truck I wanted $58,000, but I would be paying more for this truck than that one. I know some banks he says, maybe I could get you better financing, for which I replied, so you can make more money off of me. Never once did I mentioned needing their financing and for all they knew I was paying cash. In reading their reviews that are negative I have discovered that they are a very unethical dealership. They claim they they can beat anyone's price but in doing so you are not getting the same vehicle. When ordering the new vehicle I also went through another dealership and Castilone beat them by over $2500.00 only because they dropped several options on truck and were bating me. After receiving paperwork I realized it but they called it a mistake and took them for their word. Big mistake! read more

Bought a van 1/2 hour before I was to pick it up they called to tell me the van had problems .These van never have problems and it still had a 2 year new car warrenty on it. They raised the price and sold to someone else. While I was in the showroom a man was waiting for his truck (80,000) they have had it in repair for 2 months and didn't even give him a loner. He has to check weekly to see the progress they don't even keep intouch with him . He got a worse deal than what they did to me cause he has made 2 payments on a new truck and is driving his old one. I went there for a noise in my car and smell of rubber. We had an appointment at 10:00 I dropped it off at 9:40 I finally walked back at 2:00 not even done. They didn't even find the smell of rubber. The service sucks so bad. I needed new brakes and rotors for the back. They never talked to me about price. She did call me and tell me what was wrong and I told her not to worry about the front. They did them and going to charge me over 740.00. I told them to put the old ones on and I go somewhere else. The girls were laugh but I was so pissed. Hands down the worst dealership ive ever dealt with. Was sold a used car that had three separate issues within the first month of driving. I had to keep taking it back to get fixed. They sort of owned up to not properly checking this car before selling after i became upset at all the issues and offered me winter floor mats which i agreed to. They then disappeared, and not once ever returned my phone call. If i was lucky to talk to a manager they'd say the same thing "we'll order your mats it takes about 2-3 weeks for us to get them". It was never ordered. These con men just figured id give up and they wouldn't have to buy the stupid mats. It took almost 1 year of phone calls and me yelling before they finally caved and i got them. The best part: I kid you not i got a phone call from them about 2 years later asking how i would rate them. I answered honestly. Their manager was adamant he wanted to make things right with me but he had to "verify" with the owners first on what he can do.... so he swears he'll call right back today or tomorrow. That was 7 months ago....still waiting for that call. Haha. Absolute joke of a business. TL:DR. Castilone is a bunch of lying con men. 2 may be generous but objective and fair. Due to Covid only working remotely with dealers until time to sign paperwork. I had challenging time working with sales rep from communication standpoint but I recognize I'm not the only customer and I'm not there in person. The benefit of the doubt is why they get 2 stars instead of 1. Between ATVs, motorcycles, cars/trucks - probably worked with about 10+ different dealers over a decade (bought ATV in another state no issue prior to Covid so not my first remote buy) - never have I been given one price and went to finalize only to have it be $1,500 more than down payment price I locked in. Why? because they gave my coupon discount to someone else while THEY delayed getting me the info they need for loan. That took 24 hrs to get an answer from them once I identified the increase and finally got the necessary info. Their response? "take it or leave it, we have other people interested in the vehicle". Bought a car from their Sheridan location a few months ago. STAY AWAY! The worst service I've ever had in my life. The owners son was my salesman and you could tell it was his daddy's business. Very careless and lazy. There was a mix up with my paperwork and because of it I was pulled over to find out my registration was suspended due to their carelessness. Now I've had the headache of straightening everything out and going to court to face criminal charges. I was told I needed a lawyer to represent me and castilone refused to pay my lawyer. I've now had to miss two days of work for court, was without my car for almost two weeks needing to find rides to get around and castilone refuses to reimburse me for anything. The service department is useless. My truck has lights on in the dashboard, driving fine otherwise. I called the service department and was told they KNOW what is causing it and can fix it. I was told when an apt was available and took it in the night before so they can get to it right away. Couple days pass and I was told that "they are just pulling it in" I reminded them I had the appointment days ago. Not the receptionist fault so ok I waited again. I called back couple days later to ask about my jeep and was told that "they are just pulling it in". I told her I was going to call in the afternoon and want to know what the problem is because at this point no one has even said they can do anything. I call in the evening and was told that "it COULD be this or that and we can start with this first". A $600 possible fix. I give the okay for that. more days pass, I call and guess what ... "they are just pulling the truck in". I call 2 days later and am told the guy who knows what to do is out that day. UMMM it was 2 days before that they were "just pulling it in" for the 5th time now. I decide to still be nice and patient because she says he will be in tomorrow and work on it tomorrow. Fast forward a couple more days I call and I kid you not ... they "are just pulling it in". NOW I have had enough. I reminded her how many times she keeps telling me that they are "JUST PULLING IT IN" and I want to know when it will be fixed and of not get my truck back. I was put on hold and then hung up on. I continued to call and there is no answer. My fiancé calls from her phone and they answer right away. She tells them we are going to get the truck back and was told we are charged $75 diagnostic test. We go get the truck and guess where it is, in the same spot it was dropped off in and NOT "just pulled in". My boss even confirmed how he kept seeing our truck out there in the same spot and was wondering if we traded it in or something. They had the truck for WEEKS and did nothing. Any dealership has great service with the sales department because they want that sale. The SERVICE department is where you should be concerned as well because for the life of the vehicle that is who you will deal with after that car leaves that lot and their service department is useless and unprofessional. read more

My recent experience with Castilone Chrysler has been a nightmare. I took a car to their Clarence Resale Center for a repair trusting that the repairs would be done at that site by the mechanic who had done prior work to address a minor oil leak on 6/24/2013, he replaced the oil pan gasket for $157.15 leaving the impression that the minor leak had been addressed and would no longer be an issue. Three month later my 2006 PT Cruiser with 29,500 miles on it was still leaking oil, I brought it back to the Castilone Clarence Center Resale lot in Clarence and was told that the source of the problem was a front crank shaft seal and that the repair would take approximately six hours and could include a timing belt and water-pump if necessary. I greed and brought the car in at the appointed time for the proposed repairs trusting that the diagnosis was accurate. Later that day about three in the afternoon I called to find out what time the car would be ready, the mechanic said he had to get back to me that it was not finished. At four when I again spoke with the mechanic was informed that my car had been driven to the Batavia lot. I called the Batavia lot's service manager and was advised that the $600-950 repair would be considerably more because the leak was a major leak requiring a repair that would require a replacement of the short block, crank shaft, and bearings. I told the manager that I wanted my car back immediately and informed him that my next call would be to the NYS Attorney General's office of consumer complaints. My car was the driven back to the Clarence lot where I picked it up the next morning and was provided with an explanation that simply did not make sense. I was not informed before hand that the car was going to be driven to the Batavia lot forty miles east of Clarence, if I had been I would have said no an retrieved the car immediately. If the leak was so bad at that point risking catastrophic failure what reputable repair shop or dealer would take the risk of driving a customer's car forty miles without first consulting with him/her. My advice to anyone is to steer clear of the Castilone Chrysler dealership and any of it's used car operations. I have made my complaint to the BBB and to the NYS AG's Office for Consumer complaints. read more
