In their Stickney Point store in Sarasota, Ethan was our salesperson. He was incredibly patient and helpful and knew all the specific qualities and styles of each brand. He found the perfect walking sneaker. I walk 2 1/2 mile everyday and wearing this have been perfect. I couldn't rate Peltz more highly. read more

I placed an order with Peltz Shoes and paid for 1-2 day shipping, but my package was delayed. When I called FedEx to try and get it sooner, they told me Peltz had a restriction on the order. I called Peltz and spoke with Ariel Marciano, who was unprofessional from the start. She never acknowledged the delay and was refusing at first to do a three-way call with FedEx. During the call with FedEx, Ariel misrepresented me by apologizing for "my behavior," calling me rude, and making decisions about my shipment without my agreement. Her actions actually caused further delays, which a FedEx supervisor later had to fix. When I called back to report her conduct, Ariel was the one to answer the call, interrupted me repeatedly, and refused to connect me with a supervisor saying there wasn't one. I was eventually contacted by another representative, who also interrupted me, dismissed my concerns, and then hung up. The lack of professionalism and accountability at Peltz Shoes is unacceptable. Ariel not only disparaged me to FedEx but also escalated the issue instead of resolving it. Even when speaking to a supposed higher-up, I was treated with the same dismissive attitude. Employees representing a company should be held to a standard of professionalism regardless of a customer's tone, yet here I was treated with disrespect at every step. read more

If I could give them less than one star I would. Its click bait that shows up on every webpage I visit, with lowball prices, and every shoe that they offer comes in a total of one oddball size. Any respectable website should ban this ads of this company from appearing to their visitors. In addition to that, if you read their feedbacks, they seem to have a real problem satisfying their customers on the sales that do actually take place. In addition to that, if you go to their website, and sort by size and do all the filtering, there are no bargains, nothing even comes close to the misleading pop up banner ads that they use to get people to click bait on them. I purchased shoes that are specifically for playing pickleball. The shoes were used exclusively for playing pickleball and they did not last for 40 hours of play before the seam split. Peltz is not going to do a thing about it. They had the audacity to say that they would have taken the shoes back if it were 90 days or less...it was 93 days. The shoes literally fell apart being used for what they were advertised to be for. It very strongly suggest not doing business with a company like this. read more

As I live in a small apartment in a retirement home, I threw out the box. In addition, I could not find the receipt. This location is disorganized, and only carry like two pairs of each style in the tiny and enormous sizes. So if you happen to have a 8.5 size, forget it, you will probably only find the granny shoe that not even granny wants to wear. They tend not to have affordable shoes and stock overpriced shoes. Staff during the day, follow you around, as if you were going to steal a pair of shoes. Making the overall experience stressful. If you come in at night, you might have a better chance of browsing in peace, since most of the staff is young and not interested in following you around the store, repeatedly asking you if they can help you find something like the day staff does. Problem is, when you finally find a pair of shoes, boots or sandals that you would really enjoy, they don't have your size. I placed my first order via their website. after numerous texts and emails asking me to proceed with my order and get $5 off my purchase, I did checkout. However, the discount codes wouldn't work. I saw no disclaimers as to why they didn't work and no restrictions were mentioned. After placing my order I contacted them asking they apply the discount. Christine told me that not all codes work and there are restrictions but she didn't specify if that were the case with mine but told me I needed to do research. I provided her with the screenshots where it never informed me of any restrictions and only encouraged me to place my order. I asked that they either apply the $5 or cancel. She responded that it was already processed and they couldn't. I have asked for the department managers phone numbers and have received no response. I have tried pricing an order with the same item and at no time does it tell me why it won't apply the $5 off. They could refund me $5. They could ask FedEx to return the shipment (btw, it's been 24-hours and FedEx is still telling me the tracking number they issues is invalid). So, here I am. I also saw negative reviews on the BBB website. That will be my next stop, as well as disputing the charges with my credit card. I don't appreciate being told that I needed to do research. They will lose a sale and a customer because of their poor customer service. All over $5 which they promised, with no said restrictions. read more

very poor customer service I was told over the phone I could exchange an online purchase and went to the store just to be greeted by the rudest girl behind the counter. she processed a return instead without making me aware I would need to wait several days for my card to be refunded and would have to repurchase the new size. I don't have $400 in my account to repurchase the same items just in another size. I asked for a refund or a new pair of shoes but the Manager while claiming he understood my frustration, said he couldn't do otherwise as the owner believed it was my fault. I don't know what world these people live in but THIS was not my fault and the shoe was obviously defective when it was made, the fault of the factory or whoever made them. The material stitching on the inside of the shoe is sticking out and rubbing my left foot. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will NEVER set foot in this shop again and I'm warning everyone else not to because you do not get the customer service you expect when spending that amount of money. Selection was adequate but that was the only good part about my visit to this particular Peltz store. There were probably 5 people working in the store and every one of them asked me if I needed help. There's a difference between good customer service and just annoying someone. Let me shop! The bathroom needs cleaned, but instead they placed 4 air freshness in the bathroom. Not even the good smelling air freshness, these were the cheap stinky ones. When I went to check out I said I had a coupon. The lady said these are only $60. I said only $60?! That's a lot to me. She said well most coupons won't work with this purchase. Do NOT buy athletic shoes there even though they sell them, and not for cheap. Staff does not understand athletic shoes or how to fit them. I tried to return a pair I wore three times at the gym and were killing my feet and they said they were "too worn" and wouldn't take them back! $120 down the drain. They would not take them back I had to call rockport and they exchanged for my size. When would a size other than the size of your foot be a solution? Most people and especially men don't get excited over shoes, since that is a girl thing. I like flip-flops, sandals and beach shoes, that is where I spend my time. When travelling the country I look for places where I can restock my supply of these commodities. Since i wear them most of the time, the lifespan of my footwear is about 12 months. I found this store on one of my stays in Siesta Key , Florida. The have other locations in and around the area and i have only stopped and visited this shop. It is small and I am sure they have other much larger venues in the area. But, for the size they have the best selection and prices for the footwear I need. I was disappointed when I first walked in to find what looked like a serve-yourself shoe store, as my husband needed shoes to go with new orthodics, and we needed guidance. We asked if there were clerks & Rudy was called over...and he saved the day. Rudy knew all about orthodics...he understood my husband's condition, which required the lightest-weight athletic shoe available. Rudy explained that the doctor had advised running shoes (though running isn't a possibility) rather than walking shoes, because running shoes are designed to absorb impact...so will protect his worn out knees. Rudy explained why tennis shoes--which my tennis-player husband had worn all of his active life--won't work now, because tennis playing is mainly a side-by-side movement, while walking (which our doctor is urging) is the opposite of that. He also informed us that expensive running shoes are not warranted as they would (ineffectively) duplicate the built-in advantage of expensive orthodics. Rudy tore out the removable insides of shoes to try on to put in the orthodics and we walked out with an under-$40 pair of New Balance, which were just what the doctor (would have) ordered, (had the doctor been as clear and informative as Rudy was!) A note to Peltz: get this salesman a bench to sit upon while he does his stuff...he takes his time to do it right, and is your best asset in the store. read more

My husband & I have been buying several pairs of shoes at Peltz on our trips to Florida for many years. We have been to both Sarasota stores three times in the last year and have walked out empty handed each time. Last week we went elsewhere and both of us were able to get the brand and exact style we were looking for, in the size we needed and at a lower cost than what Peltz had them. Peltz does have a variety to choose from but they don't stock a full range of sizes any more. I get tired of the clerks telling me this shoe runs small, try the next size up. You can't sell shoes if you don't have the right sizes. We won't be wasting our time at Peltz any more. read more
