Recently, I had a knee issue and saw her associate Natalie Shobeiri and discovered I have been running incorrectly and that was causing my knee issue. With some new running shoe recommendations (I was formerly a fan of Big 5 shoes ;), correct alignment, and some ongoing exercises to strengthen my areas of weakness, I have been able to continue my active lifestyle. I met with the owner, Marci Silverberg for physical therapy having been referred by my Dr's assistant as I wanted to focus on core work as well as muscle strengthening. The session went well and I found Marci to be a very knowledgable hands-on PT who was also empathic! The caveat is that when I went to pay for the session she informed me that they don't take United Healthcare Medicare PPO Insurance. I was taken aback as I had spoken to Katlyn the Operations Manager and she had assured me that they would take my Insurance but that I would need to send in the "super bills" directly to them and would get reimbursed. She had the form I had emailed in with all my personal info but neglected to tell me that they don't take Medicare which for me was a big omission. Her bio on the website states that she " ensures every visit is a smooth and supportive experience" and a "seamless" one however, it was not for me as I was put in the uncomfortable position of having to pay $ 249. out of pocket. After sitting with the discomfort of feeling misled by Katlyn whom I felt did not do her job properly by inquiring about my Medicare and informing me before the visit. I sent an email to Marci about my feeling misled by Katlyn and what I described as a lack of integrity but heard nothing back as to her and Katlyn taking more responsibility for the situation I was put in. which is why I decided to write this mixed review which is highly uncommon for me. As I noted, I appreciated Marci's PT expertise but I am left feeling disheartened and taken advantage of in paying for the visit that I had no choice about and cost way more than anticipated ! read more

I came to Marci for some severe cramping pain and a prolapse. Within the initial meeting, we were able to determine the likely source of my cramping and what we could do about. We then addressed the prolapse and my overall health and well being. This is by far more than pelvic therapy. Marci sees you, your entire soul and self. She is able to work with you to create the best treatments. I have felt a huge sense of relief from my sessions with Marci. I have never regretted doing the work once I have finished! I always feel better after doing my therapy work and am so grateful to have found Marci to help me to continue to heal. read more

Marci is incredible! No matter how far postpartum you are (or even if you're pregnant, or thinking about getting pregnant) I would tell you that you MUST see Marci. I am 10.5 months postpartum with my second baby and have been in constant pain since delivery. my previous Pelvic Floor Therapist, while good, didn't make the connections for me that Marci did. She took everything I said, really listened, and helped me work through the pain I was experiencing until we could identify what made it go away. I've only had two sessions with her and I already feel 1000x better. I had to fight back tears during my second session because the relief I felt was so profound. Marci also understood that giving me too much "homework" was overwhelming with two kids and a business to run. She really took that into consideration when figuring out what I needed to do at home and I've been able to put into practice all that's she's given me with ease. I am a physical therapist who graduated in 2000 from my program but the area of pelvic therapy/women's health has drastically changed since I was in school. When I went to see Marci, I had already been to a Physical Therapist for treatment of my shoulder pain. Nothing he did helped. The pain had not gone away. A few months later my PCP urged me to try physical therapy once again. I went to see Marci, doubting that anything she did would help. I expressed my skepticism and Marci said: "Let me try". I was beyond surprised that after only the first visit with Marci my shoulder felt better. Eventually my shoulder pain went away completely. There is something different about Marci. Aside from being caring and professional, and knowing her stuff, I do believe that Marci is a healer. You can feel it in her energy. I enjoy how she adds on exercises because she cares for her patients as a whole person, not just the reason for the referral. My insurance allowed four visits and I feel like we made the most of the time. Postpartum pelvic floor issues took me by surprise. I had been suffering from multiple challenges for months before I started working with Marci. She took what was a scary, delicate and painful experience and made it manageable. I'm now pain free! When we started she asked me for my ideal goals after 8 sessions. I gave her several and left thinking, "yea right. That's impossible." Lo and behold, here i am after 8 sessions and all of my goals have been met. I couldn't be more grateful. Marci is clear, encouraging and gentle. Pelvic Floor issues require touch and care to delicate parts, but Marci made me feel comfortable so it wasn't a big deal. I found Marci after calling my gynecologist for a referral to a Pelvic Floor Specialist after having a total hysterectomy and chemotherapy. I was feeling completely disconnected from my body and in particular my pelvic region. I felt as if I wasn't a sexual being any longer and would have been satisfied not having a sex life if those muscles continued to be asleep, numbed-out or painful. I am so happy to say that Marci, with her lovely sense of humor and gentle instructions, taught me how to find those small (yet important) muscles and nerves that needed special attention. I learned how to stretch and contract muscles I always had but never addressed in 'physical therapy' type fashion. Just as one would exercise a broken arm or leg, I learned to apply those lessons to my pelvic floor area. I'm thrilled to see that my sex life has returned with as much vigor and enjoyment than even before my surgery! And Marci helped me learn how to significantly curb some embarrassing incontinence that I had developed. Marci Silverberg is an AMAZING pelvic PT. This is such a specialized field and if you need a pelvic PT you are likely going through some serious stress and physical discomfort. Marci is just what the doctor ordered. First, she is sharp as a tack. Her breadth of knowledge encompasses pelvic and beyond. Second, she is extremely caring and compassionate. She is an excellent listener too. But, most of all she helped me get better and taught me how to help myself. I also have to rave about Briana, the PT aide in the office. Marci helped me with post partum urge incontinence. She was professional, yet warm and friendly. Most importantly she helped improve my issue and after a 6 sessions I had plenty of exercises I could continue on my own to get even better. Marci is a game-changer! I keep saying that but it's true. I found Marci out of desperation when my 18 year old son was recovering from a severe Traumatic Brain Injury from a motorcycle accident. He was already in Physical Therapy for months relearning to walk, etc but was beginning to have low back pain that we could not figure out. Also, his gait was very uncoordinated and he was beginning to overcompensate and develop bad gait and posture habits that his current PT was not correcting. I found Marci's website and saw her Neuro background and called and chatted with her. She was wonderful. My son started seeing her and we immediately saw a HUGE difference in his walking, balance, posture, etc. Not only is her demeanor kind, supportive, and encouraging; but her knowledge is vast and she has an innate ability to hone in on the details of what is needed. She also provided manual table work which he was also not previously receiving in PT and it has made a HUGE difference. Aside from being very clearly passionate about her work, extremely knowledgeable, focused, and attentive to details, she went above and beyond to help me feel supported and well cared for. I came to her with an issue in my lower back, and she gave such a thorough exam that she was able to make connections to other issues I was having that were related to the pain in my back. Not only was I grateful for the relief after our session, but she educated me about things I can do on my own, and followed up with me to check in. I highly recommend Marci. She is a responsive, knowledgeable, reliable, and a caring provider whose specialty is pelvic floor. I had 4 visits with her - 2 in my third trimester and 2 postpartum, - and she helped a great deal to alleviate some of the tight back symptoms during pregnancy as well as to start getting back to pre-pregnancy exercise after birth. Marci also offers occasional free classes - look them up, very helpful to learn how to adjust posture and exercise for better labor and postpartum recovery. Marci has a wonderful energy paired with extensive knowledge and commitment to her clients. I went to Marci pregnant but still dealing with pelvic floor issues from past births and she was able to help me work through some birth trauma issues as well as understand how many of my concerns were connected (and treatable! Despite my doctors just acting like it's normal and to get used to tail bone pain, leaking, and pain). But the biggest gift of all was the help she gave me on my varicose veins. I am pregnant again and besides compression stockings was told there was nothing that could be done. Marci showed me some exercises that I've been doing and my discomfort is GONE and my veins are so much better!!! It seems like a miracle. I was recommended to Marci by my midwife. After 2 vaginal deliveries I was feeling that my pelvic floor needed some attention. Marci had an approach that I loved. She carefully listened my story and tried to get the most that she could about my needs and how my life was. She then made a plan specifically for my needs. Interesting is that in every single session she would start with a chat to know how I was doing, how my pelvic floor was doing and she would adjust any therapy again to my current need. Amazing is that she doesn`t only treat for the pelvic floor, so to speak. She actually treats the whole body and the mind. I am very impressed with Marcie's knowledge and her followup. When I was reaching out for PT help Marcie was the only one who responded to me! It was also great not to have to worry about remembering my therapy exercises by having to take notes during the therapy sessions. So it is really nice to have the notes later so one can focus on the therapy lessons and have these notes sent by Marcie shortly after our sessions to then practice on ones own by having her outstanding follow up notes. Plus all our time was spent on working out. I highly recommend Marcie. She also leaves time in the beginning and end of each session to check in with you to see how you benefited from her exercises, any questions you may still have, and find out what worked best, and then find out about other issues one is having that need to be to addressed. At the end of each season she reviews what we have done and then checks in to see if your needs were met and then, what is needed for the next session. I can't begin to count the number of times that I felt as though I'm just not getting it when trying to engage my pelvic floor during a yoga practice or workout.
