Pemberton Coffehouse is a quaint coffee shop located right off of Nanticoke Rd. near Pemberton Drive, on the side-street that runs behind the car wash, dry cleaners, and McDonalds. It is situated in a completely refurbished old house and sits on a large pond. It is decorated and furnished to look and feel more like you're having your favorite coffee in a home then a commercial store. With their front porch, rear Florida room and large deck overlooking a huge pond, Pemberton Coffeehouse is warm, cozy and inviting. The baked goods, breakfast sandwiches and casserole were excellent. Soon they'll be serving beer and wine, and will be offering entertainment. This might be the mature venue that Salisbury has so desperately needed. I give this place two thumbs up and strongly encourage you to stop by and give them a look. read more

My favorite place to go when I am in town!!!!! They catered our wedding and did a fabulous job with our multi tiered wedding cake. The cake was still just as amazing after being frozen for a year!!!!! I love coming in when I have off to have some yummy baked goods, a pot of tea, and do some lesson planning or meet up with friends and family. read more

Adorable little coffee shop with plenty of places to relax, work or meet friends. The coffee was terrific, they had ample selection (even decaf espresso) and my drink came out way better than anything you get at Starbucks. I also had a pecan roll, which wAs very good. Beautiful place but the salmon salad was average and they forgot my latte. After finishing our food I went up to the counter and asked for my drink the lady acted like I was bothering her. Then they brought the wrong drink out and I gave up. read more

Shame on me! Went back only because a friend wanted to go. Think she had to experience for herself how terrible it is now. Can't believe I actually gave this place my money again. Service is bad, the lettuce and tomato on my sandwich were both near rot, and the coffee is still not what it once was. My wife and I have been going here since 2011. We love the coffee and the food, and yet location with a waterfront view is perfect. It is good to see an independent family-owned business thrive. Our one problem--and it is a big one--is the hours of operation are so limited. Most nights they close by 7or 8, but that is precisely when people are getting together in coffee shops to socialize. On multiple occasions recently my wife and I went out only to find Pemberton Coffee House closed, so we took our business to other coffee spots like Starbucks and B&N that had more normal hours. We certainly hope that the owners will eventually see the wisdom of remaining open longer. read more

The food is pretty good but the service is spotty at best. I've been a handful of times. In those experiences, it wasn't unusual to wait 20-30 minutes even when it wasn't busy. Once they completely forgot to make my order. The view is nice and it's a good place to enjoy a pleasant day, but don't go too hungry. read more

Me and my wife have been in Salisbury the last few days visiting and have ate breakfast here two mornings in a row. We both love the atmosphere and the service from the servers. The French press coffee is great and I would strongly suggest the Eggs Benedict. Only downfall we had was there were a few wasps around the deck outdoors but you can't stop nature. read more

Went here for the first time with my husband last week. Was in awe of all the wonderful pastries and muffins. We split a blueberry lemon muffin and a cinnamon roll. OMG, they were fabulous! The muffin was LOADED with blueberries and had just the right texture. The cinnamon roll was the lightest and tastiest I have ever had. Go there now-don't wait! read more

Wonderful view, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. My friend and I got the Brie appetizer which was amazing. We understood there was a small wait on it due to it had to cook. It was worth the wait! You would not have thought all those favors went together but it was yummy. We also got the white mocha Frapuccino which was very tasty. While sitting there chatting we heard a young lady who works there order a mega green. When she started to leave we asked her about it. So we decided to try the mega green. I have to say I'm not much of a healthy drink fan but that was really good. It was sweeten with fresh fruit which made the veggies take a back seat in taste. I always love the atmosphere here! It is relaxing and lovely. I have been coming here frequently since their opening in 2011....however upon my last outing there the service was not as good as usual. Our table ordered five sandwiches and four out of five were panini style (supposed to be warm) however they were still cool and the one eggplant tahini was so cold we had have them heat it up and to my dismay they used the microwave. Also they need more vegetarian options, their portobello sandwitch was DELISHIOUS the first time I got it, it seems as though they changed the recipe and sometimes they use mushrooms which should just be tossed out, the eggplant was so dry and tough either from needing more cooking time or simply from its age....hard to tell, but not too apatizing. I really do love this place and hope they pick up their game so I can continue enjoying the relaxation and good food they provide and have provided in the past. One other concern is they are lacking a changing tables for their customers with babies. read more

Probably the worst breakfast experience of our lives.. We stopped at Pemberton Coffeehouse on our way to DC, entirely because of the high ratings on Yelp.. The girl who took our order seemed pretty confused right from the beginning.. We ordered 2 coffees, the banana French toast, egg and cheese sandwich and hash browns.. After waiting for 45 minutes, we requested that at least the coffees be given immediately.. We got a cappuccino and a chocolate milkshake instead of the mocha we ordered, and we had to get it replaced which took 10 minutes. Post that, they came to our table to ask us our order again, by which time we were exhausted waiting, so told them to cancel the order if they hadn't started on it yet.. They told us to wait and went in.. After another 10 minutes, we couldn't afford to wait longer as one of us had a flight. So we told the staff we're leaving. We got a sad smile and a sorry.. But they didn't even offer a refund on our 34 dollar bill which we had already paid upfront or any kind of replacement From the pre made pastries or muffins which should have been easy to pack.. The food is probably great, the staff is probably friendly.. But what's the point.. This is a zero star place for me.. read more
