The mall looks like a ghost town . Very empty. Many empty locations. It sad to see this. It has been a great mall for years.

Located on Pines Blvd. just east of Flamingo Rd., this mall has some pros and some cons. Pros Pretty much a straight line so easy to navigate Decent size food court and a few stalls along the mall Large chain stores to anchor it (Macy's, JcPenneys, Aeropostale, Dillards, Bath & Bodyworks) Starbucks Movie Theater Good amount of restaurants along the outside perimeter (have to drive to them though) Regular day - not too crowded therefore easy to get in and out quickly Cons Fair amount of empty storefronts During the holidays, it's not wide enough and can get a little claustrophobic to walk Parking can sometimes be far away even when the mall is not that busy Not a lot of sit down restaurants inside the mall Restrooms can be a little difficult to locate

Shopping here during mid day is stress free and parking is plentiful. The main areas of the mall is a ghost town but there is some activity in Macy's, Dillard's and the AMC cinemas. I like the Macy's clothing area upstairs and noticed they have a decent amount of employees walking around for assistance.

This is a small mall that serving the surrounding community. Anchor stores are Macy, J C Penney, and Dillard. They do have a cinema and games center for kid and teen. Parking is easy from all entrance. It is a single floor mall with a lot to offer. I like world of art, miniso, round 1 games center. The food court locate at center and have basic food needs. No named restaurant. Visit only take 1.5 hours to complete.

GameStop shut down there as well if you like game stop they shut down there permanently .

These stores I saw at the Pembroke lakes mall last weekend were closed up and shut down when I got there they are being shut down and the only one they are building is the Levi's store

I like this mall which has a variety of stores from regular to fancier ones. The food court is ample and a lot of good choices to choose from to grab a bite. AMC movie theater and arcade with a bowling alley, trampoline, and huge arcade, with many video games and claw machines. Hours are not as ample as before the pandemic which is the only negative to this mall, but still a good place to visit and anything you are looking for.

I've been hearing a lot of back talk this year about this mall, and frankly, I was hesitant on going--especially with my teenage daughter. Hey y'all, I took the chance in going and nothing I saw or experienced was even remotely close to what I've heard. Every retailer we purchased from had pleasant clerks, the merchandise was organized, the floors were clean (even in the fitting rooms) and throughout the mall. Best of all, both the parking areas and the premises were secure and safe. We were going to forego the Food Court and eat elsewhere, but after walking around and checking the area, we decided to eat there and so very glad we did! Though busy and with few tables available, everything was clean and in order. We ate from a "Louisiana chicken kitchen" place and we were delighted to discover that they now offer nuggets--but that's another review. All in all, we spent more time there than I would have wanted, but it was a great day and shopping experience.

Long line to get in to Hot Topic

Pembroke Lakes Mall opened on October 28, 1992 with room for six anchor stores. The Dillards, J.C. Penney's, and Macy's are still here. Burdines, may you R.I.P.. Set to open in spring of 2021 is Round One Entertainment, a Japanese based amusement store chain that offers arcade games, bowling, and billiards. This was my first visit to this mall. I loved hanging out at the mall as a teen growing up in New Jersey but the older I get the less I like mall shopping. I came to Pembroke lakes to attend the Yelp event and decided to burn some calories before dinner checking things out. Due to Covid, certain stores seem to be limiting the number of people let in. The longest lines were at Hot Topic and the Disney Store. I was able to walk right in to Bath and Body Works. It seems ridiculous to force everyone to wait outside the store when they are crammed together in a line anyway. I might have shopped at Hot Topic for my daughter but their line lost my business. The rest of the mall was the same stores every other mall has, Victoria's Secret, Justice, The Children's Place, Build a Bear, Croc's, Tilly's, and Hallmark are just a few of the usual suspects. They did have an H&M which are pretty rare but I prefer the outlet at Sawgrass Mills Mall. Pembroke Lakes has what you need but is not unique enough that I would be rushing back to visit again. I have a version of all of these stores closer to where I live, but this is a nice mall.

The Shoppes of Monterra Commons is a new mixed use development owned by Diversified Realty Development Company, which is based in Deerfield Beach. Construction began in December 2021 and it looks like they just need to lease a few retail spaces. This development includes over 100,000 square feet of new buildings over 16 acres of land with 700 parking spaces. The development cost over $10 million to complete. In addition to the stores and restaurants, the Shoppes of Monterra also includes a brand new 175-unit Residential Active Adult Community. Current Monterra Commons tenants include a Brightstar Credit Union, Baseball Cards, Culver's, Huey Magoo's, the Learning Experience, First Watch, Crunch Fitness, Oaxaka, and Cali Coffee. Coming soon is Tide Laundry, Gyromama, and Playa Bowls. There is currently empty leasing space for other businesses. I tried out the Cali Coffee and Blueprint Cookies and loved both. I was surprised to see how busy it was here so it is clearly filling a need in the community. It is interesting to see new development come to what I considered a dead end area of Cooper City. It was only a matter of time before this last large parcel of Broward County was developed. Hopefully Cooper City residents are going to like what they put in.

My favorite eating spots may be Korner67 and 100 Montaditos . Oh let's not forget the yummy Novillo Restaurant ( for a good churasco and pinto rice) and the Old Shulas sports bar that is now I believe it's called Miami Lakes sports bar. The strip has a real estate office. On Saturdays they host a farmers market. A street is closed down for the set up and several vendors set up their tents. I've seen new comer bands set up in the outside open area. At night it's lighted up with lights on the trees. At night they will close a street for more walking area and you will see police officers guiding the guest and keeping us safe. During the start of the Christmas season they do a reveal of the lighting of the tree! The strip is well kept. Free Parking areas available surrounding the strip. So you may just find anything you're looking for in MainStreet. The only thing is while they have a few fashion clothing stop for women... there may be only 1 store that offers a laid back mens clothing. Or even for just a walk through the strip. I' live close by so I remember going to MainStrret as a teenager. The strip has closed many doors (to say a few: Tony Romas, Johnny Rockets, Mia Boutique, Peeky Boo) but something else opens that's just as good.

I was hesitant, but once me and Teddy, my dog, got inside. We came across several other pet owners. That's pretty cool! Teddy and I walked the length of the mall while my partner did her shopping. This is one of those high-end malls! But they also had some very good food vendors in the hallways where I got the majority of my snacks and I even got some snacks for Teddy. I was hoping the cute little dog park on the outside would be available to us, but it didn't open until 2:00 p.m. And we were at the mall fairly early. It was a great visit because most of the employees were dog friendly! I'll definitely have to make a trip back to this mall without a dog.

Back then, the S Bus would drop you off at the entrance of the food court and the mall was just 2 floors but look at Aventura Mall now! Completely unrecognizable to the Mall I remember as a teen. Especially since it seems like the average stores I remember are gone and it's all Prada, Gucci, and luxe stores now, but I'm not gonna knock it too much as I took full advantage and stocked up on my Nespresso pods while I was here. At least they still have JC Penny's. I was able to find a Miami Hurricanes shirt to bring back to my dad as a gift. They also have a Joe and the Juice store which I always stop by when I'm here and get a green tonic from them. I have to admit; I like how they revamped the food court so that its modern and has a wide variety of options. They even have a ramen kiosk! We also stopped by the new Eataly store, how can you not right? We didn't eat anything there, but I took advantage and bought some items they had priced on sale. In all honesty, I could see myself coming to Aventura often if I still lived in South Florida. I've always it made it a point to come here when I do visit and will probably continue to do so in the future.
