Did not fix my problem. Charged me for a professional model of a device, but installed a consumer model available at home depot. I had to troubleshoot the device that never worked, called the manufacturer, received the new device. PP air installed the new product (took 5 minutes) and my flooding never stopped. Talked to the office about the pro vs consumer model. I believe I was overcharged because the pro model had features that this one did not. Requested a refund of the difference. Never heard from them I called another local company. The resolved my flooding issue. No flooding going on 4 weeks now. read more

EDIT: a day after posting the review, the owner reached out to me. Explained some things which led to this and offered to make it up to me should I still want the work. These things happen. I get it and their positive reviews outweigh my experience. So, with that, I added a star and I'm sure I'll add another or two when I get the work done. //end edit. I really wanted this place to be awesome. I did. After reading reviews on another site and Yelp, plus hearing word of mouth from my friends, I gave Pembroke Pines Air a call regarding my A/C constantly running. Amazingly, the lady said she'd send someone right over. The guy arrived and he checked the freon and it was good to go basically telling me my unit is old. He could tweak it to the tune of $200-300 but that I may not be satisfied. No sweat I thought as I was planning on replacing my downstairs unit. Thought about the upstairs unit. He told me it'd be close to $3800 or so and that they go through a finance company if I wanted that route. No sweat I thought. I didn't want to drop that cash now since it's summer and we were hemorrhaging money with the kids being out of school. So I called the finance place and got approved for more than the estimate just to cover the "what-ifs". I called their office back and let the lady know everything I did and to give me a time they could come out. No problem. Over the next couple of days I called to get a guesstimate and they were still working on scheduling. But gave me a nice run down of what I'd be getting installed. Cool. Another day or so passed by and I called a couple of more times. STILL working on the schedule. At this point I gave up. They had money right there waiting for them as soon as they could come out. The A/C just always runs. It wasn't broken. I just pay a ton in electric bills so I just sucked it up. I'll maintain it until it blows up and try someone else. I'm just really bummed at the way this all played out. Here it's been over a month. Almost two. And not one call about "sorry, we goobered up and forgot. ". Something I could deal with. Instead, it just really turned me off to them. Maybe I called during a hectic time. Maybe they didn't want to deal with the finance company. Whatever the case is, it'd be nice to have communication. Very fortunate to use Pembroke Pines Air Conditioning yesterday to handle a serious drain pan stoppage from the dreaded white slime in my attic air handler. Think a sheet cake worth in the drain pan. I had previously cleared the drain line, but the monster white slime in the drain pan prevented the condensate water from entering the drain line and caused the emergency float switch to shut down the system. Very hot, very humid. Nasty. Ricky arrived and immediately got to work. Was able to access the drain pan and remove the slimy, goopy mess - not an easy task. System is up and running. Super nice, knowledgeable and FAST! I called at 3:00pm, he is finished by 4:00pm. He explained everything thoroughly and was very honest which seems like a rarity in this field. I would definitely use him again and recommend to anyone in need of AC repair! Update a couple months later: I'm sad to say that I have to take my initial review back. He ended up having to come back, only to once again miss the issue. He cleaned the coils inside and when someone in my family asked if he was going to get the ones in the back, he claimed there weren't any coils in the back. Which didn't sound right to anyone, but he insisted. A couple weeks later, the air stopped working again. This time we called in a different company who showed us the coils in the back and that were absolutely filthy - but the main problem is that the blower inside was absolutely caked in dust. I ended up spending nearly $800 to fix a $200 issue. No one from this company will return our calls even after promising a refund & promising to come back out and recheck their work. They said they stood by their work. That doesn't seem to be the case. Amazing, amazing service! My technician Ricky was super knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. He passed by on Tuesday to provide me with an estimate on a new air conditioner and duct vent cleaning. I wanted to write a note to say how much I appreciate the job done by rich. it is very easy to get people who just want to earn a buck and don't care about an actual problem. he was professional and most of all easy going and trust worthy. I have had numerous issues with AC repair companies who did not really care about the customer. on Saturday night before labor day I had an issue with my ac equipment .the inside was working but not really cooling. I looked outside and found that my fan was not spinning. I called that around the clock company and they seemed to be more interested in charging me more money because of the time, and charging what I felt to be an incredible amount for the work to be done. as I have a family of 5, I didn't want to wait to get it fixed.i asked him to fix it onkly to be told that he couldn't fix it until Tuesday as there would be no one open to get the part.(a motor) I began to call around and found most of the people I called had motors on trucks IF I could convince the drivers to come out. frustrated I slept on it and went to work the next day. I found out then that a coworker had the same issue, but when she called Pembroke pines air conditioning they came out had the part and fixed it that day. I called them on Monday(labor day) and rich answered the phone. he seemed concerned and began to search for the motor. later he called back and said he had one on a truck that was on a call and if they didn't need it, he would go pick it up and install it in my unit. On a Saturday afternoon I noticed my outside unit wasn't working so I started the process of checking everything before calling someone for help. Around 8pm i came on Yelp and searched for 24/7 service and I came across these guys. Called up and the answering service told me they will notify a technician and I should get a call with ing 15 minutes. I received the call in 5 minutes and decided to tell the tech to swing by. It looks like the capacitor went bad and so I got the quote and decided to replace it. By 9pm my a/c was back up and working just fine. I know how you feel... that horrendous feeling of having to find an a/c comapny that won't take all your money when the problem is not really that BIG. After going through multiple a/c repair vendors in early 2012, I called Pembroke Pines Air Conditioning to get there input as to what was going on with my outside unit. The technician (owner) took one look at the unit and said he did not want to touch it because it was so much of an older unit and any repairs would only be a temporary fix (advise and coming out at no charge) as opposed to the other vendors that came out and charged me just to see it. Now in 2013, I had a newer unit and a problem arised and I called Pembroke Pines Air once again and still they did not dissapoint. The owner advised me of the issue (dang ants), noticed the part was under warranty (which most companies would notice and still charge) and replaced it the next day with the only charge being his service charge.
