We decided to try something different and immerse ourselves in the downtown Pendelton area for the evening and we sure are glad we did. Jack was very warm and welcoming, just what we needed after a long boring drive. The house was beautiful, our room quite lovely ( I was bummed we couldn't use the private balcony at this time, but the reason is very admirable--baby birds have been born there and they don't want to scare away the momma bird). Jack recommended the Flying X Speakeasy down the road, which ironically we had already planned to go to. I'm impressed with how the downtown Pendelton business owners build each other up and speak so highly of each other. Everyone we talked to knew Jack and spoke highly of him, just as Jack spoke highly of them. Breakfast was delightful with scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns and avocado toast, served with great conversation. It was hard to leave after such a great experience here. Thank you, Jack!

Two of the places I called never returned my request for a quote, one place only had time to book us at 9 pm on a Wednesday for one hour, and one place was much smaller than the Grange for about twice the price. The Grange met all of our requirements for our event. Tara was amazing to work with: super helpful, answered all questions quickly and professionally and made the planning for our event as stress-free as possible. I would definitely book with Tara and the Grange again if I was ever in need of a large space for an event.

The hosts Rob and John were extremely helpful and so accommodating. Rob offers many great ideas for setting up props, including beautiful chandeliers and wine barrels in an outside pavilion! We were lucky enough to be able to utilize the new solid structure, which brings so much shade and cooling for the guests. Plenty of room for family, food, dancing and excellent photo opportunities. Our family was very grateful to have such accommodating hosts in such a beautiful, romantic setting. Their prices are the best around, and easy on the budget as opposed to other venues. I gave five stars because that's the highest rating I could give, but they deserve much more! Feels like we made new friends! I…read moreusually write stellar reviews and it take a lot for me to write a negative one because I wish I didn't have to and instead resolve a challenge directly with a business if a situation arises I have stayed here many times throughout the years as a halfway point during our travels and have never had a problem. We stayed here last weekend, along with many other firefighters who were in the area battling a local wildfire. After our stay, a $109 charge appeared on our card, so I called to find out why. They emailed me the pictures below and said the charge was for "soiled" linens. We had been out helping a friend who needed to evacuate because of the fire, so yes, we had some dust on us. But this was not excessive dirt. I don't wear makeup, and these marks were not wine, blood, ink, or anything similar. When I called back after seeing the pictures, the woman at the front desk, Karen, continually talked over me when I was trying to have a civil conversation. When I requested she not talk over me she continue to say multiple times that the change would not be reversed. My compliant isn't so much about the changes amount but how this was micro management and lack of quality customer service. Keep in mind, these pictures were taken before the linens were even washed. When I asked whether they had pictures showing that these light marks did not come clean after washing, they did not. Hmmm I also requested that the actual linens shown in the pictures be sent to us, since a $109 charge is more than enough to replace the items, not simply clean them. I asked multiple times, and I was repeatedly talked over instead of being given an answer. This entire experience was incredibly disappointing, especially considering we have stayed here many times without issue. Clearly, we will not be staying here again. I sincerely hope that all of the firefighters who are risking their lives to protect people, homes, land, and property during these fires are not being treated this way by this business
