Pendleton is fun and more fun than Patagonia now. The store was new to me. I wanted so many things but I changed it to stickers, socks, a metal sign, and sweater pin. This shop has a lot of inventory, and irregular items at a good discount. it's conveniently located near the aquarium, and a cozy little tourist district. it's obviously the cornerstone of a quiet mall, but definitely worth stopping through if you're in the area. update: after a less than ideal interaction with the staff pendleton went above and beyond to reach out to my family and assured us they had seen evidence which supported our story and they had taken the necessary action to improve their customer service at this location. read more

THIS IS NOT AN OUTLET! I drove over two hours to come to a Pendleton Outlet and was very disappointed. I walked in and saw shelves full of blankets, towels, pillows, etc and was so happy! Then I saw the prices- all full price same as their catalogs and regular stores. When I asked the salesperson where the "outlet prices" were, she pointed to a few clearance racks with random tees, shirts and coats reduced 25%. This is a full- priced store with a few clearance items. Might as well order from the catalog or go to a regular store- at least you'll avoid the dingy, poorly lit store in a mostly empty mall in Monterey- and the $10 fee to park. What a depressing place this is- the store across from Pendleton used to be a candy store and now is just a heap of barrels with candy strewn everywhere- avoid this place! read more

I parked right in front of the mall to go to the Monterey Aquarium. I did not notice the Pendleton Outlet sign until we were walking back to the car. I was in trouble...I collect Pendleton blankets so I HAD to stop! The women's clothes were very picked over but they had gorgeous men's flannels shorts, coats, hats. They had quite a few blankets too Most of the blankets were perfect, only some had defects and they were marked clearly so you knew the defect They also had purses, tote bags, wallets, iPad cases, etc! I was in heaven and found a blanket I have been thinking about buying for 5 yrs. the price was fantastic, and it was in perfect condition. I bought the last one! The gal carefully placed it in its Pendleton box. They also hold me I could call them with any blanket request and they could order it and get it at their store. Very friendly service. read more

The staff here was more than pleasant. My only complaint is that they are not closer to my house. I've loved the Pendleton product for years. This store has a huge selection for half the price of normal cost. They are not lacking in selection in the slightest. Its the only store in this mall worth going to and one of the few things i plan a budget for when i visit monterey. Love this place read more

I just bought a nice sweater there at Pendleton's In the Outlets in Pacific Grove. Upon leaving, the escalator to leave the stores and take us to the parking lot was out of service. I do not know how to email mgt of the shopping center, so I hope someone notifies the mgt. 1. No warning that the exit escalator was not working when we approached the escalator to take to the stores from parking lot. We must take the down escalator to get to first floor. 2. No obvious easy way to get to parking lot if escalator is out of service. We ended up walking all over trying to find an access to parking lot. Had to exit first floor to Ocean View Blvd. And turn right on Eardley Avenue walking past American Tin Cannery (eatery) to the parking lot about 1 1/2 blocks at about 18% incline. Put a sign at the parking lot if either escalator is broken! Once we get off the escalator then find out the return escalator is broken, it is too late. Most of the big stores are gone now. IZOD, Adidas, Rockport, jewelry stores, and other chains. It is the Incredible Shrinking Shopping Center. That is such a shame! I have no reason to return to this haphazardly run shopping center. Used to go several times a year when we travel to Monterey Peninsula. Shame! read more

I love this place. If you want to have some quality, classic wool blankets, coats, sweaters, shirts etc from Pendleton you can't do better anywhere. They seem to always have several promotions going on and a lot of stock. read more

This store is pretty bad. It claims to be an outlet but it doesn't actually have that much sale merchandise. They only mark down a handful of items and then leave the rest of the merchandise at full price. I wish they would just call themselves a regular Pendleton store instead of misbranding as an outlet location. I won't return. read more

If you search carefully, you can find some great deals! Their blankets are all marked with what defects they have, if any. Some are quite minor, in my opinion and if you're willing to live with a small stain or small stitching issue, you can get a great blanket for a great price. We always stop by when we're in the area. read more

This review is specifically for the Pacific Grove store and for the store manager Marissa. I live in Pacific Grove and time to time when I need a quality gift I love this shop. Recently I bought a weekender bag for my son for Christmas and wanted to get one for my daughter in another color that was not available at the store. I decided to order the second one online. I received the wrong item and when I called customer service they were not very helpful, but when I called Marissa, even though the bag was not purchased at her store, she went ABOVE and BEYOND to help. She made calls, called me back and solved the issue. She was so kind and helpful. I repeat this was a shipping error from the Pendelton online store, not the Pacific Grove store, but Marissa still took it on to solve. Thank you Marissa! read more

We really had a great experience here thanks to Marissa! My Wife and I wandered in while waiting to be seated at a nearby restaurant and when we saw some of the prices we were amazed! We both love the brand but it's so pricey usually. Marissa was extremely pleasant and very attentive while we spent time shopping. We had to put the items on hold while we ate. When we returned Marissa was again very helpful and in a great mood. We excitedly found several items for both of us. Once I got back to our hotel I tried on some items and realized I needed to return to the store and exchange the items. Thankfully Marissa was walking in just was we were and she greeted us with a big smile and "Welcome back" Marissa made the exchange so easy and we even found several more items(again) that we just love. Throughout our time in the store Marissas assistance and input really added a lot of fun and excitement to our experience. While another nearby employee stood quietly seemingly Avoiding interacting with customers we were happy to have Marissa and her wonderful personality helping us(and others). I love this place. Timeless, quality product with great customer service. Great visual displays that are easy to shop from and prices are usually better than online. If you're looking for super cheap, you really should be looking for a different brand- outlet stores really don't exist these days like the 80's and 90's. Please get that out of your head- Marshalls and Ross are outlets these days, I mean , even if you go to Gilroy outlet shops they really aren't that much cheaper, so I disagree with the customers review that said they don't have good prices. What they do have is great rotating sales that are a good deal off regular price. It's hit or miss on the sales, but I enjoy this location. Its a nice experience. read more

Very pricey. Some things were not worth what they were priced. Like the hats... I don't think any hat should be more than $50. So $76 is kind of crazy. Even the clearance section was expensive. It's not like the clothes were super fashionable or made of diamonds or anything. They were just regular looking clothes. They're comfortable but not worth the price. read more

Being an outlet store, I expected regular prices for leftover items that retail stores could not sell. This store was an exception. I couldn't believe the numerous bargains, sales on top of sales, and hard-to-find out-of-print Pendleton patterns. Purchased seven items and all were on sale: long sleeved board shirts, short sleeved board shirts, and country style shirts. For one shirt, we paid 40% for the original price. We stopped by the American Tin Cannery after shopping at Nob Hill across the street. The mall is pretty empty, w/ the Van Huesen store, Bass store, sock store, jewelry store, a huge candy store and Pendleton, which was the only one that interested me. I liked the sock I'd bought at the Pendleton outlet in Anderson last October and wanted to see if there were any in a similar weight but a different color. The helpful woman working there directed me to the socks. As I walked by the rack of shirts I saw a lovely pastel plaid shirt, but there were only mediums. I found a nice pair of socks and Alan found some too. As he looked through the rest of the store he laughingly held up the shirt I had liked. Turns out there were other sizes available. I tried one on and liked it. He found a long sleeve pullover that he liked, so we bought that too. They had the chocolate we'd bought last time but we passed on it this time. We left to walk around the mall a bit. There's a store selling local artisans' goods that interested me, but the lady was closing as I walked up at 5:00 so I'll have to check it out tomorrow after brunch read more

I have also been to the Redding store & I think the prices are less expensive there & the sales are better. The outlet location itself is a little dated however that's part of the charming Monterey experience. I was driving in from Big Sur and called to make sure they were still open. Even though they were about to close they told me to come anyways. I showed up a little after closing and was happy to make a purchase. If you have or like Pendletons they have a large selection. I read some other reviews about people saying they are expensive , however I'm the type of person who doesn't mind spending a little more for AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTS . I'm sick of everyone wanting Walmart china crap for $10... Sometimes you need to pay a little more to be an Original. I will continue to buy Pendleton at all of their locations. The staff was super helpful and when they didn't have my size in a certain color, she took town my information and they next day she tracked down the shirt I wanted and had it shipped. Though I've paid $1,000s to this outlet over the years as a petite woman thrilled with quality and value offered, today I lost 1 hour of work time making a trip to return an item without a receipt. I had called in advance and been told by a Pendleton clerk by phone this was allowable within 60 days--only to be told after I arrived (and paid for parking) that I'd only be refunded the current sale price, $40 less than I paid less than 5 weeks ago. Need to find a new source of petite wear. read more
