After about one year at Crossroad I felt the care was becoming unreliable. I did say to the Vet. that used to be excellent: "To be honest I have lost confidence in your care, what happened to you?" Again as always a great vet. The really care about your pets and you and your family. Doc again came out to talk about everything and even with all the patients he has and not seeing me for a year he remembered our family. It's a wholesome bet that still calls about the family. They are always current on new medications and treatments. The app that they use makes it's easy to set up appointments and send reminders. And the have a military discount and with the Army not having a vet at Ord anymore this place I think is the pace to go. I also still think their prices are very reasonable especially for this area. I've been to several states in my work over the years and this is one of the more fair and affordable vets. They also have information on animal hospitals in the area should you need one. I love Dr. Cohen and Dr. Sherill and their staff. The other day I came on the wrong day and Dr. Sherill worked my 2 dogs in so that I didn't have to come back the next week. That was so nice of her on such a busy day. They are very current with all the new drugs and new treatments. They have helped my dogs deal with some bad allergies. I would no sooner take my animal to this vet than I would take myself to a human doctor who would be like this! Dr. Aaron Cohen had the unmitigated gall to say, when I asked him about some testing costs that I should "find another veterinarian because people in this area, don't need to ask about pricing - they have the money to pay". I was stunned. Shortly after that I received a letter telling me he would not see us (my dog) again. Any veterinarian who would do such a thing to a patient is unworthy of working in the medical field period. Becoming a veterinarian to take care of our beloved dogs cats or any animal children is a privilege not an arrogant pass time. There are veterinarians who truly care about their patients and would never dismiss one for asking a question about specific lab costs. This veterinarian's behavior was shameful coupled with him appearing to know no shame which is a huge red flag in my opinion. read more

Impossible to get a sick appointment ever. Every other vet always reserves some appointments for sick dogs but since they want to make sure they "sell out" every day & make the most money possible I have never been able to get a sick appointment. Vets are probably pretty good but if you can only get in for annuals & to buy meds does it even make a difference? Had my dog been able to get in or had they even called me think my Frenchie would be in a better place right now. They don't deserve your business if they don't want to look after your family member when they feel their worst. read more

I think they are good vets. But they never have appointments available and I have to end up going to emergency clinic. But when we called to purchase flea preventative they wouldn't let us because they haven't been seen in awhile. Well maybe if it was easier to be seen they would go regularly. If I could give them a negative rating I would. Doctors are not focused and are scattered. Good luck actually going inside. You are forced to wait outside or in your car. Go anywhere but here; this is not a safe place to take your beloved family member. Had my cat dental cleanings and tooth pulled, procedure was done poorly and was outrageously charged over $3,000. My poor cat is still healing from their botch job over a month later. Tried to talk several times to deal with this issue and others; both Doctors were hard to communicate with. Neither Doctor could answer basic questions about the procedure. They blamed staff for their shortcomings and did a lot of backpedaling. Had to take my cat to another local veterinary office for emergency treatment. Guess I'm lucky they didn't kill my cat. I've been with them for several years but I should have gone somewhere else when they moved to Carmel. The service and treatment became noticeably worsening; but wanted to give them a chance. read more

I mention to Dr. Cohen that my dog had been chewing her paws. He told me to wipe it off with a rag each time she came in and maybe that would help. He then emailed me and ask if it help? It had not help so he wrote me back and said, "I will have med's waiting at front desk in two days come by and pick it up". I've never had a vet clinic be so thorough with my beloved 13 yr old dog. They recommend meds for his arthritis that would not adversely affect his liver or kidneys. It was also explained to me that while his liver values or a bit high, that much needed dental cleaning and surgery would be done in a matter that would protect his liver and kidneys. She even scanned his liver and kidneys to see if there was anything worrisome for no charge while he was having his teeth cleaned. Absolutely fantastic care and professionalism! We were not happy with the previous two vet clinics we had visited and our 1 year old Cane Corso had an eye irritant that was causing yellow drainage. We found PAH on Yelp and I will definitely be transferring my 8 year old Cane Corso here. Jasmine, Yvette, and Dr.Sherrell were incredible. Our puppy was very timid and shy but they were very kind and patient. I love that they did the entire exam in the room and let me take part. I cannot speak highly enough of this facility. They were very nice and got my dog in quickly before a road trip for anti nausea meds Cerenia. The meds worked splendidly and made the trip much more pleasant. We recent had a major problem with our little dog, injuring his eye. Thank goodness, I only live 10 min away and rushed him in. There are 24 hour vets in the area but PAH is our normal vet and the emergency hospitals are all 30-45 min further, because of traffic, that time of day. Without a blink, Dr. Sherrill got the details, evaluated that she was comfortable with what needed to be done, and time was of the essence. Every one pitched in, shifted patients, change plans to leave... and within 15 min he was sedated and in surgery. The first thing the next day Dr Cohen called to check how he was doing and talk about next steps and what to look out for. I have used this vet hospital for many years, clear back to when Dr. Cleary was the veterinarian. Recently I took my beloved Labrador there, where she was diagnosed with arthritis and sent home. She continued to worsen over the following two months. I sought another Opinion and was devastated to find out she was actually suffering from bone cancer. My Garon had to be put down, the bone cancer had metastasized. I then had another problem, this time with my bulldog. I called phs and was told to come right over. I arrived and was told I had no appointment. As my dog was in distress, extreme swelling in face and neck, difficulty breathing, I asked that they please take a look at my dog. I was told rather rudely that "We are not an emergency clinic". Another words, we are busy, don't need your business, go somewhere else. I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Sherrill and all the friendly staff at PAH. I went in with my Scottish Fold initially for urinary tract issues - Dr. Sherrill took my pet's records and walked me through them and explained that he had a recurring condition that could've been attended much sooner by diet change. I was a big fan of my prior vet, but they never pressed me to change his diet. The diet change initially was a bit of wallet-shock because I'm a grad student, but it made such a huge difference so quickly that I'm a believer now. Since having my cat as a patient, Dr. Sherrill never tried to over-treat or over-prescribe, and I got the genuine feeling that her priority is always to provide optimal care for the pets she sees without unnecessary financial burden to the pet moms and dads. PAH was recommended to me by a local and I'm so glad I decided to go to them. I wish I could take them with me when I move out of Monterey!
