I left my two dogs here for a day lodging while my boyfriend and I went to the aquarium 10 minutes away. The day lodging is for up to 5 hours but I picked them up about 3.5 hours after dropping them off because I was done walking around. They were very nice and accommodating to my requests. My dogs kind of have separation anxiety and I feel more comfortable knowing that they are not bothered by anyone in case they react defensively. I asked them to not to interact with them or take them out for a potty break since they were only staying for a short amount of time. They also allowed me to bring my own dog bed, bowl, and potty pad. They also allowed me to check out the room they were staying at, set things up for them, and personally drop off and pick them back up. When I came to pick up my dogs, I walked up to their room and to my surprise they weren't barking or pacing around! They were just laying there looking out of the glass door which means gives me comfort because that means they were calm and comfortable! If I need any other dog lodging services while I'm in town here, I'll definitely come back!

2/16/2022. UPDATE: My dog has been on serious medication since October 18 2021. Since then, I have undergone surgeries, emergency room visits, medication and a massive amount of vet bills. As of today, he is still on 3 medications a day, and vet visits every couple of weeks to monitor blood tests. The infection and the medication for that infection has resulted in complications to my dogs blood platelets. He had to be rushed to the hospital in Santa Cruz because of this and stay over a weekend due to a low blood platelet count resulting from the medication from his injuries from Dawg Gone It. We almost lost him that weekend because of how low they were. DONT EVER TRUST THIS PLACE!

Excellent Dog Care…read more The review is long overdue but wanted to share for others who want to find someone who truly looks after your own furchild. In my case there were two furkids that needed varying care. Why I would return to Freya +'s: + Responsive. I needed day care services and even evening services while I had to attend an all day conference and participate in an evening event for a few days. Freya answered my calls and texts before the care, during the care, and after the care. + Timely. Always showed up on time when I had to rush off to an event + Caring. I judge how my two dogs react when she returned the following day. Dogs do not lie and they were happy to see her return. + Helpful. Often I had to rush in and out of my lodge while I had to attend an event and Freya made sure she could help me exit as smoothly as possible and minimize my dogs' separation anxiety + Senior care experience. I see that Freya was able to care for my senior dog who had more issues than the younger sibling. + Great feedback. She shared photos of my girls to just show me how they were doing that day while I had to leave them under her care. Overall I would not hesitate to have Freya take care of my senior dog and my other more lively furkid.

We've always been 100% happy with Terry (and so have our pets). Terry goes above and beyond and we never have to worry about what's happening at home while we are away. In the beginning our crew consisted of a geriatric dog and cat. Our dog was quite sick and near the end of her life when Terry began caring for them. She was exceptionally attentive to the special needs of our dog, good at making health assessments and overall someone I could count on. We now have a new crew...two kitties. They are both young and healthy although the youngest does have pica. My cat's particular version of pica is that she will eat any filmy plastic, like plastic shopping bags, newspaper sleeves, cellophane, etc. We have to be constantly vigilant to ensure she doesn't have access to any of the "contraband". Terry understands the issue and always ensures that my cat doesn't have the opportunity to ingest any harmful substances. Terry had a special way with animals and they love her. We just returned home from a nine day vacation. My kitties had enjoyed so much attention from Terry that they were both very ho hum at our return...kind of like "oh, you're back." Typically my "pussy posse" as my husband calls them would have followed me all around the house but they didn't. This told me they had been given tons of attention while I was away. When Terry stays overnight for us, she brings in the mail and any packages, waters plants, takes out the trash, and keeps a watchful eye on whats going on in the neighborhood. She also leaves my home tidy and just the way I left it which is much appreciated. At my request Terri regularly texted us updates and pictures during our time away which eased any fleeting concern I might have. I highly recommend Terry as a pet sitter.

I carried her in, although on the phone they asked if I needed a gurney, which I didn't, but has kindly offered. The second they saw me and my pup, everyone stopped what they were doing to help. They could clearly see between my face, and her, that this was serious. Although our sweetie passed, they did everything they could, and kept me in the loop the entire time. The physician gave us great peace by telling us what had occurred, there was nothing we could have done, and even if we'd gotten her there earlier they probability to survival was low. In an extraordinarily difficult time they give my wife and I peace knowing we'd done what we could and it wasn't our fault. I had a mentor tell me, "why and what if are what keep you up at night." They did everything they could to shut down those difficult thoughts. While this is a sad outcome, I can't think every person who helped me and our pup last night do what they could. I'll never forget how you helped me through one of the most difficult processes of my life and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I brought my French Bulldog to this emergency veterinary hospital on August 23, 2026, around 4 PM…read morebecause the entire left side of his face was severely swollen. We specifically told multiple staff members, including the doctor, that we suspected the swelling could be related to an ear infection. My dog was taken to the back, and despite being there for approximately six hours, I was never allowed to see him during the visit. We were told that they needed to discuss payment before examining him. We ultimately paid $243 for the initial "exam," $357.25 for blood work, plus medication fees, for a total of $761.21. After getting home, I checked his ear myself and noticed a significant amount of wax. I called the hospital to confirm whether his ears had been examined. Emily put me on hold to ask and then told me that they had not checked his ears. When I asked why, considering we had specifically raised the possibility of an ear infection and his face was swollen extremely close to his ear, I was told that they do not check ears unless there is a specific reason to. I find that extremely concerning. We specifically gave them a possible explanation for his symptoms, and his swelling was located directly next to his ear. I expected that to at least warrant an ear examination, especially after paying hundreds of dollars for an exam. I then asked to speak with the doctor or a manager. I was told there was only a shift lead. When I asked to speak with the shift lead, I was told she was busy and that the doctor was in the middle of a "procedure." I simply asked for the shift lead's name, and Emily told me I did not need to be given that information and then hung up on me. I understand that emergency veterinary care can be expensive, and I am willing to pay for appropriate care for my dog. What I cannot accept is paying $761.21 and later learning that something as basic as checking his ears was not done--even though we specifically raised an ear infection as a possible cause of his facial swelling. The lack of communication, compassion, transparency, and professionalism throughout this experience was extremely disappointing. I brought my dog here because I trusted this facility to properly evaluate him when he was clearly unwell. Instead, I left feeling like my concerns were dismissed and that the focus was more on payment than making sure my dog received a thorough examination. If you are considering bringing your pet here in an emergency, I strongly recommend asking exactly what will be examined and what is included in the "exam" before agreeing to treatment or charges. My experience left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the level of care my dog received. I don't need a generic response with " we apologize for your experience ,please feel free to contact us" what you need to do is train Emily for some customer service and the other lady who rolled her eyes when I was speaking to them during my visit.
