Dr. Sara is incredible. I brought my mom in to see if she would be a good candidate for hearing aids. Can't say enough great things about Dr. Sara or the process. We began with a comprehensive hearing test for my mom and then Dr. Sara explained the results and explained to her that she would be a good candidate. We came back a week later to have her fit for a trial pair and we'll see over the next week how she liked them. Dr. Sara is super patient and very kind and understanding. She's great at explaining things and all in all our experience could not have been better. Really happy to have local providers like her in our community. The doctor was professional and polite. The staff appeared polite during my first visit. I called about my follow up Visit and the front desk said that I missed an appointment. I tried to figure out how I could've missed an appointment because they said they would be giving me a reminder text. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude. She insinuated I was lying about not receiving a text and she said she was sure a text was sent. While on the phone, I searched for a reminder text on the dates in question and found no text. That seemed to make her even more angry. I remained very calm and polite and explained that I'm sorry she's having a bad day, but I am no part of the problem. I felt like she was the paying customer and I was trying to keep her from losing her cool and being super polite to her while she was being rude and angry towards me. It seemed to make her angry that when I searched my text, there was no reminder text from her office. It's too bad when the bulk of an Office team are polite and friendly, and the behavior of one of the employees brings down the customer satisfaction and reputation of the office. read more

I cannot explain how AMAZING this place is -- Dr. Sara is such a warm doctor, and my mother loved her. We came in from out of town, and needed an audiologist as we were in a jam after evacuating from the LA fires. I called on Saturday at 9am. Within 10 minutes, Dr. Sara called us -- on a Saturday morning no less as I said -- nobody else was open on Saturday in the entire county except this office. She called back within minutes. When we saw her she was so warm and helpful and knowledgeable that my mother thought of changing doctors even though we live in LA! This homey office offers coffee and tea and even a free coffee card for the cafe nearby!! We also had a biscotti with it!! It just shows you what kind of little touches they want you to feel that they care. Nice little touches like also offering us a lip balm and free hearing aid case. What a gift that referral has turned out to be. The audiologist was nice, explained the procedure well and answered my questions adequately. My complaint is that the price was 20% higher than what I was quoted when I called and booked the appointment a few days earlier. When I told the receptionist about the discrepancy, she said the price she gave me over the phone was the "old price" and that the "new price" is the price I had to pay. If you go here, I suggest reconfirming the price with the audiologist before any services so you can avoid the bait and switch I fell victim to. read more

As a regular for around 10-years now, Dr. Riso and the staff are exceptional in every capacity when it comes to working with you on your hearing needs. Dena and her staff have been amazing at helping me with my Lyric hearing aids. I was diagnosed with hearing loss when I was young and it was important to me to have aids that were discrete but also effective and could be worn at work with my stethoscope. It has been awhile and I am taking my Mom to an ENT - so called to get her hearing (audiogram) record and Ruby is taking care of it so that I have it in time. My visit there was great - Dr Dena Riso tested my mom (100 years old at that time) as well as me. She was pleasant, respectful, professional and knowledgeable. Did not try to sell us anything but made excellent recommendations. I just had the pleasure of Ruby and her great recommendation on a "free" phone for my dear - now 101- phone from the State of CA for those with hearing loss.
