I've taken my Australian shepherd here twice for a bath and full cut; the first experience great, the second was with a different "groomer" and was extremely upsetting and disappointing. We are contacting them today to ask to speak the owner. The first groomer did a great job, trimmed and cut her perfectly. My boyfriend took her in yesterday, 5/30/25, asked for the same cut as the first time but to trim the pants a little shorter and the sani area shorter. My dog came back fully clipped/shaved extremely short which is unacceptable for a double coat dog; I would be astounded if this "groomer" actually completed any grooming courses. I am now concerned with the health of my dog as the weather heats up due to losing the natural protective factors of her previous coat to prevent overheating. The "groomer" also wasn't able to trim her nails and cited that my dog couldn't handle it; I've never had a groomer fail to trim her nails. Lastly, she came back with a razor burn-like mark on her under belly, the "groomer" said this was there before which I do not believe. This "groomer" should not be allowed to groom again until completing additional courses and training. I don't recommend this place for grooming. read more

We took our dog to the Olalla location during the week of Christmas and the elderly woman at the front desk was very unprofessional, angry, rude to my wife and her employees. She lied about the size of the space our dog would be in. When I called to check on our dog, more if the same... very rude " Your dog is just fine!" Before they even checked on her. And then they didn't even check with the correct person that was working with our dog, if anyone was. When we finally came back to Washington and picked up our dog, the woman was quote rude and short with us again, and was rude with the younger employees as well. I told them several times not to bathe our dog and the woman acted shocked. They took a very long time to bring out our dog and when she finally came out, her nose was bleeding. Staff are treated abhorrently, animals are not treated well, small dogs are left in a 3x3 square for 90% of the time they are there with no real socialization. They are kept with 15 Chihuahuas that owners owns herself but never interacts with and poo and pee inside the room all day. The owner has 50 Chihuahuas (puppy mill) that she doesn't even take care of herself. they have had no potty training and only half live in her house and some are even aggressive toward staff and bite. She doesn't care about dogs. I don't think she even likes any dogs except maybe two of her personal ones. There is nothing personal toward any client's dog by the busy staff. No love, no affection. Just ignored and only the most basic needs met. Lots of stories of different dogs getting injured. The elderly owner is verbally abusive to her staff and not nice to clients either. NEVER take your pets there. read more

Zero stars if allowed. I filed a complaint with BBB, I believe this business is exhibiting animal cruelty and after reading other's reviews, I'm positive. We intended to board our 11 month golden retriever for 1 week. Upon entering, we hung out in the very stinky lobby talking before realizing there was an older lady behind the counter, visibly hiding. We were never welcomed and she was very curt and rude the entire conversation. At no time was she or the other two employees we interacted with, excited to see our dog. They simply grabbed the leash from us and seemed annoyed when our very people friendly pup wanted to follow us. We were given a tour and witnessed dogs in kennels with soiled beddings and feces on the concrete. They were cleaning 4 kennels (with total disregard for the beddings, siting in a sopping pile we had to climb over to walk past). Those 4 dogs were in the very muddy yard (no grass, giant swimming pool that took up most of the space) without supervision. They came up to us as we walked by, wanting attention and to be let out, it felt even worse than being at a pound. All other dogs were in the kennels. With 3 employees (that we saw), there were clearly too many dogs for safe and cleanly treatment. As we were leaving, the receptionist asked if our dog's bedding was machine washable. In asking why she stated that they would need to wash it and she also explained that our dog would need a bath before we picked up (mostly understandable). She also asked if our dog had ever been groomed before, we said not professionally and she was visibly irritated. She seemed very concerned about grooming our happy, go-lucky, exceedingly non-aggressive pup, which gave us pause. When leaving, we passed by a shed with what seemed like medical equipment. There was a man beside a black garbage bag that had a dog's paw sticking out. We reached the end of the drive and I told my husband to pull over because I felt very uncomfortable. We immediately went back and picked up our dog. No one would look us in the eye (but didn't resist thankfully). I've never felt so queasy from an experience, someone else said it as well, straight out of a horror film. Do not bring your pets here!!! They clearly do not care for animals and should not be in business. Help shut them down!! read more

Once I booked the pet stay for 2nights our interactions with the lady answering phones were terrible. Pick up is between 2 to 6, they ask you to select a time in advance we were going to be late due to traffic we called ahead and got quite a bit of attitude. At pickup was charged an extra 25 dollars that couldnt be explained by the front desk. I called back 2days later and asked if someone could look at this for me and got massive attitude and ultimately took my name and number and never called me back. So my quoted 38 a night turned into 50 a night. Really the main issue is ownership here is just tremendously rude for no reason. Cannot recommend this place at all. read more

I am only putting 1 star since zero stars is not an option. The staff (particularly the lady working the front desk pretty sure she was the owner) is extremely rude and unprofessional. I made a reservation with them on 10/28/2022 and went and toured the same day. When I got there the lady at the front seemed bothered that I was there. After the tour I asked if I could upgrade my reservation to the higher package. They lady told me there systems were being slow and that she would update it when they were working( she took down my name and other information) I called back earlier this week since I never heard back from them and when I was asking questions about my reservation the front desk hag was rude and being very short with me. I asked if she could check the computer to see what they had listed for my reservation and she told me their computers don't work like that. I called the next day again and the same woman answered the phone, I asked the same questions from the day before and got the same response in addition she told me they likely did not have the room I was trying to get available. She then told me that she had someone else on the other line that was being very patient( as was I) and said she would look in to it. As I was trying to ask another question she hung up on me. I immediately found a new place to board my dog, at a cheaper price with better quality staff. P.S. this facility does group play with the dogs they board with no supervision. I have tried no less than 5 times to make this place work to no avail. I have never been treated so rudely and both dropoff and pickup. It always seems to be my problem. Recently I was "schooled" due to a 11:30a pickup and I arrived at 10:27a. The employee chewed out the other employee giving my pooch a bath. I was not given any update on when the dog would be ready. The website is outdated and does not show new "covid" hours. I understand they have a shortage of employees which is not a surprise - who would work there. David is an exception - he tries very hard to help under such a difficult work environment. Lots of other choices nearby where staff is friendly. read more

I have a cat, Marshmallow, that I board whenever I travel. I've always boarded him at a local veterinary because I worried if something were to happen he would be in good hands. I discovered he was being put into a small kennel and was left there until I got back to pick him up. His last visit at that boarder there was also a large dog that barked a lot. When I picked Mrshmallow up he was not his normal playful self but instead he was scared and nervous. I understand he is a cat but it is important for me to know that he is being fed and has water and has some socialization while I'm gone. I did some research and found the Peninsula Pet Lodge and I'm so thankful I did. Marshmallow recently spent one (trial night) at Peninsula Pet Lodge to see how it would go. I dropped him off on Thursday. I went in to let them know we were there and the lady at the desk quickly checked us in and I went out to get Marshmallow. I followed the lady into the cat room where there were two walls with small kennels, each one with a bed, food/water bowls and a litter box. There were several other cats there. Some were lounging on shelves hung on the wall, some were peeking out of the comfort of cubby's in cat trees, some were curled up in their beds in their kennels and others were there to greet us as we came in. Marshmallow was a bit apprehensive about being in a new place and having strange cats around but he went into his kennel with his blanket and a couple toys he brought with him. I came back to pick him up on Friday and he seemed more relaxed. I don't know if he had "fun" while there but I did see a big difference from picking him up at the other boarders. Peninsula Pet Lodge is clean and the staff was friendly and it was less expensive than the other place. I will continue to use them for my boarding needs. Thank you. read more

There are no words to describe this place. Like a bad horror movie. My dog died while they said they were doing his nails before his bath. I will never know the truth of how/why he died. He wasn't sick, I would have never taken a sick dog in to be groomed. Have another dog now after two years, but I would not take a mop there, yes I did say a mop. read more

This will probably end up in the "not recommended" review because that seems to be where all the good reviews are.. but I will try anyways. I've never boarded my dogs before and was very worried. I have one husky mix with separation anxiety and the other is dog aggresive to strange dogs. Dog sitters were not an option and I couldn't stick my dogs in a kennel. I don't exactly remember how I stumbled on Peninsula Pet Lodge, but I saw the suites and contacted them via email to see if they would take my "special needs dogs." They said the Gig Harbor location would be the best bet with the suites. When time got closer to book, Joie contacted me via email that Olalla would be the better location now that they have suites and are better prepared for dogs with needs. We toured the facility and booked it. Today while trying to see if they accepted checks before I picked up my boys I saw all the negative yelp reviews and got worried. (I did not see the "not recommended" positive reviews.) When I got there the woman at the desk was great, she went into detail about my boys stay including that they tested my aggresive dog in a small group and he did great. The one dog was actually upset to leave and pouted in the car. I couldn't have been more relieved to see my dogs geninuly happy. The only thing that I am taking off 1 star for is when I dropped my dogs off the woman asked a coworker to bring my dogs to the porch while they cleaned the suite, and when I went back with the one dog while she had the other, the woman bringing them back started screaming at my 2 year old that she couldn't come past a certain point. My 2 year old went into a panic for me and thw woman screamed more at her because she didn't know if the other (caged) dog was child friendly. Which wasn't relevant because my daughter didn't even care about the dog, only being next to me. My daughter is only 2, she was confused and scared why a stranger is telling her that she can't be with her mom. My daughter has been taught never to touch strange dogs, which I understand the lady doesn't know that, but she didn't hand it well and that made me lose it on her. read more

My family and I have used Peninsula Pet Lodge for the past 15 years. During that time we have boarded many pets, cats and dogs, and all have been well cared for. We travel extensively and our pets are at Peninsula Pet Lodge in Olalla 5-6 times a year sometimes for a long weekend and at other times for up to 3 weeks. I could not think of leaving my "babies" at my vets, where they would have been in wire cages for up to 22 hours a day and leaving them closed up in our home while a pet sitter/walker came twice a day did not seem right. I have received photos of my pets via email while away; running in the grass or swimming in the pool for play time and feel much better about where they are while I am gone. Several times I have asked to walk in the back and see where my dogs will be housed (and this was not by appointment) and NEVER did I see a dog chained to a fence or a gate. Check-in can be hectic, especially holidays; everyone bringing in their pets all at the same time with beds, toys and food - it is not a drop and run experience. I know this and so I go a little early and patiently wait my turn. As for the woman who lost her dogs at Bandix, it's obvious that she loves her babies like I love mine. However, those of us who do off leash all know that Bandix is not completely fenced - you should always check first. Second if this wonderful man dropped them off at Peninsula Pet lodge instead of calling the humane society he knew what many of us know - Joey at Peninsula rescues dogs - she was not obligated to house these lost dogs but she did. If those dogs had been taken to the humane society it would have taken much longer to get them back and they would not have opened up for her after hours. One reviewer took his dog there and had a dispute about the fee but then goes on to repeat a story about a lost dog - however, this story obviously did not stop him from taking his dog (and a friends dog) there and he only repeats it because he is angry. Another review was based on "the attitude of the owners and snippets of information gleaned" but the person giving the review has never actually used this business. I would encourage you to go visit before you take your pet and tour the facility. Then consider these reviews - those based on nothing but rumors and innuendo or a review based on 15 years of experience. Your pets will thank you - it's a cool place! read more

After having a pad experience at another Kitsap dog boarder, we were hesitant to leave our 1 yr old pup for a weekend. But the staff at Peninsula Pet Lodge did an amazing job! They were so welcoming and excited to board our dog, helping him ease into the new place with a play day prior to his boarding. He had so much fun swimming and playing with other dogs during the weekend and came back tuckered out! I can't decide if he's still tired or just missing all of his new friends! We boarded our 4 yr old Lab ( his first time ) here for a week. He follows a special diet and tends to have separation anxiety when we leave him. Needless to say I worried about him the entire time I was gone but for no reason at all. He was healthy and in great spirits when we picked him up. He had obviously had fun. They were so on top of things that when he wasn't getting on well with the male dogs they put him in with older females (which is who he's use to running with). Overall we were very happy with his care and will absolutely use them again !!! read more

I emailed Peninsula Pet Lodge on June 14th asking about availability for grooms for my 3 dogs. Katie responded and I was able to schedule them all on June 28th. She assured me that they would NOT be kept in cages as I explained to her one of them barks constantly if left in a crate. We exchanged several emails and I told her about my dogs and she scheduled me for 10am drop off time on the 28th. Went there today to drop them off and the old lady working there told me she had no knowledge of any grooms scheduled for that day. I told her I had talked to someone via email and this had been scheduled weeks ago. She said her groomer was not there today. I asked when would they be back? She said her groomer of 15 years died. I said, "Oh, I am sorry." She replied rudely, "You don't have to be sorry...." I was alarmed by this as I was trying to show empathy for her situation, so I backed off and got quiet. Then a moment later she said the groomer quit. I said, "I thought you said your groomer died?" She didn't hear me or just ignored me. Then a moment later she said they just hired another groomer who turned out to be terrible. So I got the impression they fired her. I still have no idea what happened to the groomer, did she die? Did she quit? Was she fired? I did not want to leave my dog there who barks constantly because I knew he would not get comfortable there and she showed me where they would be staying, in metal cages, and I said I could not leave him there. She called their location in Gig Harbor to have me speak to the groomer there. I remembered seeing the Gig Harbor location in the past and I was NOT happy with what I saw. That is why I took them to the Ocala location, a much farther drive, hoping for something better, but being disappointed. Luckily, I decided NOT to leave any of my dogs there. After I got home, as I was looking at reviews after deciding to write my own, I am surprised at how many BAD ones there are and that I did not read these BEFORE making my appointment with them! To anyone reading this thinking about taking your dog/cat there for boarding PLEASE do NOT do that and instead look up loving pet owners on Rover or DogVacay where your dogs/cats can stay in other loving homes or even in their own homes while you are away!! read more

We have been taking both of our dogs here for over two years. They always get very happy when we pull up to the building to drop them off. This is the only place where our lab will actually jump out of my truck. The staff are friendly and THEY DO TAKE GOOD CARE OF OUR DOGS. As I have read in other reviews, people have complained about this place smelling...of course it's going to smell, it's a pet lodge, not a 5 star resort in Saint Lucia. Bottom line, it is a good place to take your animals for a short stay or week long stay. The owners have an old school mentality and we like that. read more

This review is based on my experience and my neighbors run-in with this place. I used them once to board my dog and a friends dog as well. The check-in process was not very smooth and the woman was quite standoffish. The price I was given at the time differed from what I was quoted. I departed worried that my dog would not be well cared for based on the reception I was given. Upon picking up the dogs, they overcharged me then gave attitude when I asked to be refund the difference. My dog did seem OK upon picking him up, though he had not eaten very much which may have been due to anxiety of being someplace other than home. This facility also lost possession of a dog in their care. To their credit they -or the dogs owner- had posted fliers around the area. The large dog was deaf and ended up being on the run for several days before my neighbor spotted it in his woods. He went out, found one of the fliers and called. As the dog was overly skittish, it kept running away, further into the forest. After about an hour of searching, the dog was found and captured. Soon the owner arrived and was happily reunited. The kennel neither thanked them or offered up the posted "reward". My dog means too much to me to leave him someplace that has me feeling uneasy about his well-being or with a business that does not appreciate its customers. read more

My 2 dogs love this place and the people who work there! They have been boarding, off and on, at the Olalla location, for that past 2 years. Because of my job, they board several times, per month. They get excited in the car, when the hear us driving up the gravel driveway to the kennel. They can barely contain themselves, while I'm trying to get their leashes hooked up. Over the years, my dogs have boarded at many places. I can truthfully say, that not all kennels and personnel are equal. There have been places I just turned around and walked out, because of the conditions or personnel. This is not one of them. My dogs are truly treated like family, there. The owner, Joie, breeds champion chihuahuas, and has been, for many years. She is an expert in dog behavior and their health. I totally trust her, when it comes to my dogs. They have never had any behavioral issues, after I bring them home, except for being bored with me. Apparently, I don't provide as much entertainment and attention compared to what they get there. About 1 year ago, I went through a major transition involving my finances, transportation, and job change. Joie , her husband Ed, and their staff went totally out of their way to continue letting my dogs board, there. She absolutely did not have to do that. I found out that I am not the only person/customer, that she has helped. She told me she believes in paying it, forward. That says a lot! The owners have built that place from the ground, up. They have worked, and continue to work, very hard. They may seem a bit rough around the edges - but no one is going to care as much, about your individual dog, in a true kennel setting, as much as they do. One of my dogs had a temporary spinal cord issue, and needed special attention. They kept him in a quiet, cozy area, by himself, but close to the people, when I had to work. Regarding the occasional smell mentioned by another reviewer - that is not a common occurrence. Also, if you have visited a number of large kennels, at all, you will probably notice a similar odor. I have been boarding my pets for 18 years, due to being active military, and then due to my current job. The kennel can be spotless, but occasionally, odors get into the paint, cement, etc, and are released. My only concern about this kennel is that Joie and her husband will retire, and I will have to find another good place to board my dogs...:) read more

I also found out they put the dogs in the individual kennels and I got mad and said that that's not what I pay for. I pay for my dogs to run around and socialize with other dogs. The owners of this place, Ed and Joie are just mean and grumpy. The girls refused to give me a tour too when I dropped them off. But I unfortunately had no choice but to leave them for a while. We have only used Peninsula Pet Lodge twice and I think we are about done. On both occasions our playful, sweet, energetic dog came home timid, quiet and felt like he was backed into the corner. He would duck his face when I tried petting him, or when I would go for a hug, he'd flinch and turn away. I don't know what kind if methods for obedience they use, but to me it seemed like my dog was abused. Also, dropping him off, they just walked him away from me, I wasn't able to say goodbye. I dropped him off early morning right when they opened, maybe that's what upset the owner! Also coming back from our Vacation we weren't sure what time we were going to be there so we called the owner to let her know what time the next day we were coming, she got irritated and short on the phone saying it was a busy day that day and she wanted us to come at a later time. Felt like she wanted to charge us for the extra day as long as we came after check out time which is 12, we get there the next morning and she is no where in sight, ms.busy! All in all, I don't recommend this place. Your beloved pets just don't come back the same! Poor service, and was left worried about my dog the entire trip! read more

I work at a veterinary office, we are constantly getting pets in after they've boarded here who have not been fed in days, not given medications (including diabetic animals), and often are wounded majorly. I've had multiple owners say they were told by the company "we don't know what happened." Or "the pet just freaked out that's how they got injured." DO NOT bring your animals here if you care about them. Pay a little more for boarding ANYWHERE else. read more

I had the worst experience with Peninsula! The lodge lost my dog in approx. 24 hours after dropping her off. They did not contact me nor my emergency contact. I discovered she was missing when I arrived to pick her up 72 hrs after her disappearance. I found my dog 11 days later, 3 miles from the lodge, starving and traumatized. She lost 30 lbs and was just skin and bones. I feel fortunate to have gotten her back, don't let something like this or worse happen to your pet! read more

Okay so some people here have had bad experiences, but honestly I haven't. My husband and I are from Florida and we had to change duty stations to Bremerton, WA this past month. With no house (waiting to close) and living in a small hotel room for weeks on end my two dogs felt very claustrophobic. Luckily we found the pet lodge for doggy day care so they can run, swim, and play all day until closing! When we drove down the gravel road I was a bit nervous to be honest, but you have to suck it up and get past it. Walking in we were greeted by an old man behind the counter and his Aussie, Logan. It's not Ritz Carlton, but it's quaint and nicely kept. They have dog treats and toys for sale, a cat room where the cats get to wander and lounge all day long, and a TV screen showing pics of the dogs of doggy day camp and board! So after a few short minutes an older lady comes out to sign us up and check us into the computer (they send you a conformation email with the time you've checked in and when your dog has been checked out for the day you get an email regarding that. It's nice because it keeps tabs on your pet so nothing can happen). Any who, we explained that one of our dogs, Kratos (epic right?), was a rescue and is slightly skittish when it comes to strangers. The women took that advice perfectly and made him as comfortable as she could while she leashed him up to bring him around back. When our second pup was taken back she asked if we'd like a tour and we agreed. Okay so it's a "pet lodge" aka kennel for dogs so there is noise. Something some of these commenters need to understand. It doesn't mean they're hurt, it doesn't mean they're trying to get out. It's simply a room full of dogs saying "hi" and making as much noise as possible together in unison. Hell, my two joined in and they never bark! So we walked past these kennel runs (they are inside and outside) that had some dogs in them into an outside kennel portion. Our two were in there facing the doggy day camp dogs that were outside. They do this to ACCLIMATE the dogs to the others so they don't get stormed on by 20+ hyper dogs. So we left them there in the hands of the Pet Lodge group. Guess what? They loved it! Surprise surprise from all the negativity in these reviews. They were excited to see us, but kept trying to run back to the play yard which I followed (I guess I had to meet their friends or something) and kept barking and pointing for me to let them back in. So all in all, it's amazing. We've left them there time and time again for 3 weeks straight and have had nothing but nice things to say about this place. Some key points I want to make for the other reviewers: -they are dirty because they're dogs, it's WASHINGTON AND IT GETS MUDDY. Take them home, shower them off, they'll live I promise you. -hours for the public are M-F 8:30-6 S 8:30-4 Sn 4-6 That's for the PUBLIC. The owner didn't know you and didn't have your pet signed in so of course she's not going to stay later than she has to so you can grab them when you clearly didn't read the sign at Bandix saying (leashes required for untrained dogs). It's there, I've seen it, and that's why my 9 month old puppy is still with me. -scratches and blood? Really? Either your dog is aggressive, got in a tiff with another dog, or you're a liar. Again, my dog is a rescue and skittish. He growls and is afraid of people and unknown things and he has NEVER had scratches or blood when I picked him up. I've brought him to dog parks where other dogs have done far worse than a little cut. Dogs are dogs. They have nails and teeth. Guess what, shit happens. It's no ones fault. -as for the staff. The older women may seem gruff, but she's not mean. She actually reduced the fee for us and will let us pay at the end of the week because we are tight on money right now. I don't know what others have been saying, but I think she's wonderful. The old man is extremely nice and always welcomes us in and talks about how the house is moving along and the base (he listens and remembers which is really nice to see. No one listens these days). The staff is phenomenal and have been great with Kratos (the rescue) and are super friendly. -finally, the kennel runs. You saw your dog in a run and freaked out without ASKING WHY!?!? Seriously!?!? As soon as they did that I asked straight out, "why are they in there and not out in the group play yard?" Easy answer ladies and gentleman: they group the dogs up for outside. If it's a busy day (Friday or Saturday) they usually have to group them like 1-5 you're in this play room, 6-10 you're over in the yard, so on and so forth. It's so that 50+ dogs aren't crammed into a yard all at once. They're rotated. My pups are used to runs (I've trained hunting dogs since I was 8 years old) so to them, no biggy. Peninsula Pet Lodge has been caring for my dogs for over 20 years.They have knowledgeable people and will accommodate special requests for my dogs whenever possible. I also have my dogs go to day care occasionally as well as overnight boarding. I currently have 2 dogs and they are able to stay together in one of the suites. read more

Just had my dog Bentley stay with Peninsula Pet Lodge for 9 days. First off my Doxie Is very apprehensive of strangers and different environments. He was calm and seemed to take to the owner and upon my return from vacation Bentley was good to go no worries. I boarded my dog at the Olalla location once. That will be the ONLY time she ever stays in their care again. When I dropped her off, the woman behind the desk seemed very confused and unorganized, even though I had made reservations weeks in advance. The woman that came out and got my dog from me was extremely gruff and unfriendly to say the least. It put a bad feeling in my stomach to leave my dog there, but I had no time to change plans. The gruff woman led my dog off into the back before I could say goodbye to her. Upon picking her up a few days later and after getting her home, that evening I noticed a large purple bruise on her under belly roughly the size of a foot mark. The idea of her being abused while in their care nauseated me and brought me to tears. This place will never get another cent from me! PLEASE BEWARE!!!!! read more

I have been going to peninsula pet lodge for over 15 yrs. I have no idea what these other reviewers are talking about. I'm a professional woman who travels. They always take the time to take my calls to let me know how my dogs are doing . My dogs start barking and are so happy when I go up the drive when I drop them off. These are professional people who show dogs and if anything happens to the animals they know what to do. I will always continue to go there. They have compassion for the dogs and cats and I feel very comfortable leaving my animals at Peninsula Pet Lodge. I highly recommend. read more

We have been boarding there for twenty years and NEVER a problem or complaint. We now have two springers and they are treated like kings every time they are there, which is several times each year. We boarded our previous springer there before these two. They come out happy and in great condition. Highly recommend the facility. The owners are hands-on and very involved and right-on on all levels of pet care.. We recommend the facility every chance we get. We also have our springers groomed there with much satisfaction. We are giving a high rating to Peninsula Pet Lodge, as we have always been treated well, and our dog has always been treated extremely well. One of the things that I absolutely LOVE about PPL, is the fact that they have many activities for the dogs. You can choose to do playgroups, doggie day care, individual walks, personal one on one time, and in the summer, there is the pool! Dogs love it, where else can you take your dog where they can swim and swim. Yes they come home tired, and can come home dirty. But, they have the best grooming ever. They use all organic products; and really important is the fact that they grind the dogs toenails, instead of clipping them. My sensitive dog doesn't mind that at all. Because our usual boarding facility was booked out, I boarded my dog for 3 days here just this weekend gone with 17 cups of dog food in a Ziploc bag as he eats 5 cups a day so I figured 2 extra in case we were late picking him up. When I went to pick him up Tuesday morning they came out with the Ziploc bag still over half full. My dog was not fed properly for his entire stay. Rather than expressing concern for my dog, the ladies got defensive and tried to persuade me that he was fed and that I must have counted wrong. They put me on the phone with the lady who fed him over the weekend and she was extremely abrasive, irritable and rude. She kept asking me "what do you want from me?" - well I obviously wanted my dog to be fed properly and it didn't happen. I counted the food when I got home, there were still 7 1/2 cups left in the bag! I was so upset I was in tears leaving the facility with my very hungry dog and the food he never got - I felt so bad for him he was super hungry and thirsty when I got him home. I will never go here again, they expressed no concern for the poor treatment of my dog who was underfed nor any respect for me as a customer. read more
