We could tell he was having such a great time! Rates are also super reasonable for the VIP service our pup gets, with a discount for longer stays. We looked at a few doggy lodges and felt that Bayside was a nice place and the staff were playful with our dogs. Not only that, they were very clean and the facility did not smell (very important!). Also, their prices are fair compared to other places that we've seen or tried. Since we found Bayside, our pups have been visiting every 2-3 weeks and they love it every time! Even during the COVID restrictions, Bayside was there for them. Our Rotties love to socialize and going to Bayside provides the environment we want for them. The staff is warm and welcoming and we can tell how much they enjoy having our giant spoiled Rotties there. We've used their grooming services and their groomers do a great job and provide a report afterwards on their condition and needs. Love that! After doggy vamp, our pups come home like dead weights. I've never boarded my dogs before and was very worried. I have one husky mix with separation anxiety and the other is dog aggresive to strange dogs. Dog sitters were not an option and I couldn't stick my dogs in a kennel. I don't exactly remember how I stumbled on Peninsula Pet Lodge, but I saw the suites and contacted them via email to see if they would take my "special needs dogs." They said the Gig Harbor location would be the best bet with the suites. When time got closer to book, Joie contacted me via email that Olalla would be the better location now that they have suites and are better prepared for dogs with needs. We toured the facility and booked it. Today while trying to see if they accepted checks before I picked up my boys I saw all the negative yelp reviews and got worried. (I did not see the "not recommended" positive reviews.) When I got there the woman at the desk was great, she went into detail about my boys stay including that they tested my aggresive dog in a small group and he did great. The one dog was actually upset to leave and pouted in the car. I couldn't have been more relieved to see my dogs geninuly happy. The only thing that I am taking off 1 star for is when I dropped my dogs off the woman asked a coworker to bring my dogs to the porch while they cleaned the suite, and when I went back with the one dog while she had the other, the woman bringing them back started screaming at my 2 year old that she couldn't come past a certain point. My 2 year old went into a panic for me and thw woman screamed more at her because she didn't know if the other (caged) dog was child friendly. Which wasn't relevant because my daughter didn't even care about the dog, only being next to me. My daughter is only 2, she was confused and scared why a stranger is telling her that she can't be with her mom. My daughter has been taught never to touch strange dogs, which I understand the lady doesn't know that, but she didn't hand it well and that made me lose it on her.

Rachel and staff are ALL dedicated to on point care for the dogs she/they service. Care can range from daily walks, miles long hikes, taking Freddie for a long visit when my MIL needs a break from his care, as well as taking him into her home (board) when she goes away for trips. Rachel goes the extra mile for my MIL, in that she comes every morning to walk Freddie, her staff comes by in the evening to walk him again. She also does extra services that my MIL needs, going above and beyond. When my MIL started getting sick, Rachel was a neighbor that she didn't know, who stepped up to help me with the challenges we faced in making sure she was okay and Freddie was being taken care of as well, dedicating her time without pay even. Rachel brings her food in the morning when she picks Freddie up, so that she knows MIL is eating, make sure she is taking her meds, as well as even just being someone to talk and converse with, as my MIL is homebound at this point. My MIL is at the point where she needs round the clock care (CNA) but she still demands that Rachel is the one to take care of Freddie, she doesn't trust anyone else to give him the love and care that she does. Rachel is a true dog lover, but her business isn't just about the dog care, but the care and dedication she shows to clients/families that she interacts with. I have had to call Rachel during emergencies with my MIL specifically and she will always show up, when needed. She isn't just an amazing dog lover/business owner, etc but truly a ROCK STAR and I appreciate everything she has done for us!

You hear of all these sitting services never showing up to feed or play with animals and my family had a tragedy happen when a boarding service kept our dog in a cage instead of the run we ordered, and something horrific happened so I will forever be scared. Nancy understands how much we love our cats and how worried we get for our little bundles of dopamine. I will always recommend Snuggles! The house is clean and well looked after and there is clear plexiglass between the kitty rooms and my cat just stared at the other cats. No fights or hissing. My wife is a amputee and has quite a few health issues. Without even being trained to, she knows when mom is having issues and will comfort her. Last winter she actually saved my wife. I was in my room playing video games and my wife was in the living room watching tv. She started having chest pains and collapsed. Samantha ran to our room and came a practically dragged me out to the living room where i was able to call 911 and help her until they arrived. As far as the business itself, you will not find another breeder like Julie. She is dedicated to her dogs. She she learns each set of pups, and matches them up with the right owners.
