Got some tickets when they had a sale back in April and redeemed this passed weekend. All areas were crowded but we made sure to wait our turn to see all the big exhibits up close. The Dangerous Lagoon was definately the highlight. Despite how busy it was, everything just slows down here. The moving walkway slowly moves you through the beautiful massive underwater tunnel for what felt like 7 minuites. The jelly fish display where the lighting creates a majestic scene of the jellyfish changing color in synchrony from the deep dark purples to the most vibrant reds was also a sight to see. A great variety of sea creatures on display here. You think it, they had it. Several areas for interactive play throughout including a playplace at the end (good luck following your kid in there - the play structure was packed to the max). You can also pet the stingrays on your way out. We spent a little over 2 hrs here. If it wasnt so busy may have waited for the dive shows and feeding times. Couldve also been a more relaxing experience if they limit the number of admissions throughout the day. I remember during COVID they had a time slot system. Seems theyve went away with it now. Overall definately worth checking out at least once.

Walking in there is a beautiful large selection of Koi fish. Walking around I can ask him any question I want even if it's silly and he would just laugh and joke around along with me. He showed me a fish in particular that he thought was interesting but was already on hold for another customer it was a black colored really big and puffy one. I was saying the fish looked like a mafia boss and he would just laugh. I had a lot of fun with my friends and him just talking and walking around to the point we lost track of time and ended up being in there for 45 minutes. He didn't mind that we came in to just browse and have a look around as i was unsure if my father's tank needed any more fish. The fish there are big! (There are little ones too). When I set up my first aquarium, a more experienced friend cautioned me against the dangers of developing fish elitism, the gradual but inescapable attraction to increasingly rare species. At the time, I laughed and blew him off, convinced I would never catch that bug. The platies and guppies I had picked out from PetSmart were more than good enough for me - I couldn't imagine going out of my way to deliberately seek out more obscure fish. My friend was right, of course. Less than a year after setting up my plebian little platy tank, I was scrutinizing the stock at Big Al's, grumbling that what they had labeled as corydoras julii were *obviously* just the more common corydoras trilineatus, and lamenting the fact that none of the local fish stores seemed to be interested in stocking anything *interesting*. Chris, who runs Next Gen Aquatics, stocks *interesting* fish - interesting, unusual, wonderfully obscure fish. I had been looking for some corydoras hastatus for months to add to my boraras brigittae tank (the platies and guppies having long since been given away to less demanding relatives), but hadn't been able to either find any for sale, or to convince any local stores to stock them. After one text to Chris and a couple of weeks of waiting for import and quarantine, I was able to pick up a full bag of perky, healthy, adorable little tailspot cories, at a very reasonable price. NGA is still a very small business: visits are by appointment only, and the selection is limited by the space available. But the setup is meticulous, all of the fish are healthy (and huge!), and Chris himself is enthusiastic and knowledgeable and quick to respond to inquiries or requests. If, like me, you find yourself wandering discontented through the aisles of your local fish store every week wondering why they never stock any plecos other than bristlenose, or if - like me - you spend hours browsing through species listings on Seriously Fish, fall in love with some obscure little corydoras, then realize nobody local actually carries them... drop Chris a line, and see what he can do for you.

They're currently doing some renovations so we walked around to the entrance on the side of the building. It was relatively close to the parking lot which was nice especially with a toddler. We looked at all the exhibits and the tanks. We loved the penguins and the sea lions. We watched the sea lion show which was really cool on the top level looking down into the tank. They have a touch tank for their rays and baby sharks too which was cool to try. The only downside is that it's a bit small. We were done with everything in less than an hour and could've stayed for another show but opted to leave. It was a great experience but we just needed a little more.

I would say it takes about an hour to get through everything if you stop to read some signs, take some pictures, and watch one of the shows. There is a new additional building included in your admission and about a 2 minute walk from the main building. Although it was in good shape, I didn't personally feel drawn to the space at all and felt like there was more that could be done with it. Overall, I like the Aquarium and it was well worth the $7.16 I paid to get in. I'd feel cheated if I paid the full $25 ticket price.

It was our first time there and we were both completely enamored with the displays of beautiful artery of shrimp, crabs, fish and some aquatic plants. Since we were looking to add to an existing tank, we inquired about different shrimps to see which ones would be most suitable tank mates to our current residents. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and they helped us with the selection. We also picked it some driftwood and moss to add to the tank for the shrimp. Looking forward to returning once they get the pea puffers in which you can place your name on a waiting list online for in stock notification. SF is a nifty little shop and we'll likely be back for more additions soon.

It's a little hard to find, was hoping there would be a more obvious sign or some sort of color to stand out more. We were welcomed right when we walked in and they were very informative and told us about their deals. The shrimp are really tiny!, If some of them didn't pile up on each other i would not have seen them. They have a big range of different colors and sizes too. They also sell those little cute fish that cling onto the sides of the wall or other tiny fish. The cray fish really caught my eye. They're about the size of a cookie, really pretty. They even have blue ones! The man that is working there can answer any of your questions with ease and would tell us some facts we didn't know about the care, sizes and life span. Would definitely recommend checking it out!
