DON'T ever use these guys. They did $7000 in damage to my wood in October. They agreed to reimburse half it's almost July and I'm still waiting. I got a sob story that they were having a hard time financially and when I called back a few weeks later, I was told he was away on vacation with his family. If he has the money to go on vacation, he has the money to pay his responsibilities. He makes a manager get on the phone and won't even talk to me. Very bad business. I used SemiHandmade.com, thinking that they were going to be the one-stop shop that would alleviate me from any headaches. I could NOT be furthest from the truth, when it came to them outsourcing the Caesarstone countertops to Penn Fabricators to come and measure, create the template, and install. I have essentially lost over close to 3 months of my life, waiting for them to come back, redo, re-measure and fix all the problems involved. This wasn't even including the 2 months that I had to go without a kitchen sink and had to wash dishes in my bathroom sink. Don't be fooled by their placating words and saccharine apologies, just demand a refund. They kept sending out different installers who couldn't even finagle any kind of bandaid for the horrible job they did with the measurements of the stone. Long story short--I've wasted enough time with the back-and-forth emails, phone calls, taking days off from work for no-shows, canceling trips and events, to attempt to write in full detail of this horrible, horrible company who are EXPERTS in giving you the runaround. I've had to dispute the charge with my credit card company as well as fire them when they came for the SEVENTH time, 2 hours past the allotted 4-hr window and STILL could not get any of the measurements correctly, trying to salvage the stone that they messed up by adding additional pieces that would not fit on top of my cabinet supports. BUYER BEWARE. DON'T EVER USE THEM, OR BE PREPARED TO LIVE IN AN UNFINISHED SPACE FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG. DO go for a smaller shop, not one that monopolizes contracts with big box companies like Home Depot and Home Depot. All these extremely concerning stories sound extraordinarily familiar as I know someone who is working with them now experiencing almost identical problems. It has gotten so bad that the expression of deep concern over Penn's work on the project itself from a successful and experienced architect and builder. Showing up extremely late, demonstrating lack of basic knowledge of terms in fabrication, providing wrong finishes, incomplete finishes, and grossly incorrect measurements resulting in cuts that were not designed as such. Even calling a stone that isn't marble repeatedly in writing, marble. Something is very amiss with this business and seems worth investigating if you ask me. read more

I am absolutely DISGUSTED at Penn Fabricators unprofessional behavior, gross lack of customer service and their complete disregard for the time and sacrifices of their customers. They claim to be amongst the leading crafters serving the NY tri-state, yet their level of incompetence is unimaginable for a manufacturer of such caliber. On my original delivery date of 27 July 2022, we quickly noticed the hole for the single standing faucet had been grossly miscalculated and was cut too large. No problem... things happen I said to the installers. Instead of apologizing, the representative at the office disregarded the issue to make it seem so minor and simply rescheduled for 3 August 2022. I expressed to them that by then the counter should be perfect and we should have no issues. 3 August appointment timeframe was set between 1400-1800 (2p-6p). I received no call from the office nor the installer since the confirmation call on 2 August. I decided to do my due diligence and call at 5p, 5:16p, 5:29p, 5:42p, and finally 5:49p with no answer each time and left 2 voicemails. At 8:14p on 3 August, the installer calls me and says, " Hello I know I'm late but I'm near by". Baffled that again Penn has disregarded my sacrifice to make time out of my extreme schedule, I explained to the installer that he and Penn are incompetent, disrespectful and has no regard for the customer's time. Even a curtesy call would've sufficed. 4 August at 9:04a I called and spoke with Gina (manager) who told me she can not tell the installer to prioritize my delivery and I must wait AROUND noon before he arrives with no conformation that he may make it by noon. She also stated that although it is their decision to decide the installers order of stops, the most she will do is call the installer to get a better estimate for noon. After a heated discussion and promises to leave reviews on the incidents , she called back to say the installer will stop at my home first by 10:30a, he was 1 hour late. read more

They did call when they arrived I was just 5 minutes away but I had to scramble to get to my home to let them in. I purchased my stone countertops through another outlet- but the store subcontracted Penn Fabricators to cut and install the stone. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. From the scheduling of appointments (Yani) to the templater (Willie G) to the two men who installed my counters- EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. I had a large counter installed (53 sq ft of Quartz) and the team was excellent. Everything was explained in great detail, including timelines for the project, and the team was constantly checking to make sure that I was satisfied. From store purchase of the counters to installation was about 3 weeks. All involved followed Covid safety precautions. I purchased my countertops through Home Depot, and although they were a little delayed in getting my order processed, Penn Fabricators came through in a very reasonable timeframe. I received an email on July 1 confirming the receipt of my order and then scheduled a measurement for July 19 (I needed a specific day of the week). The technician who measured was extremely thorough, detailed and professional. All of the measuring points were done using a very high tech computer and the template turned out perfect. They have a database of over 5000 sinks and mine was in there, so the sink cut out was spot on. I only had to wait about two weeks for the installation-which was flawless. The installers called before they arrived and were done in less than two hours (for four pieces totaling 57 sf.). The largest piece of quartz was a huge L shape and had NO SEAM. The bar top looks amazing and fit perfectly as well. They drilled holes for the faucet and soap dispenser on site and they were flawless as well. Christian Jr. and his assistant were great- efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I'm extremely happy with my countertops- Penn Fabricators EXCEEDED my expectations. Worst ever!!! No Communication what so ever. Had two different people come to measure for the same thing idk if they weren't sure or no one knows what's going on. Also the day of install I come down and the guys were measuring the back splash, that's fine if the office would of told them it's for just a peice behind the stove. They give u a four hour window like the cable company And I alway had to call to check the status of the order. We went thru Home Depot and Penn Fabricators were the suppliers and installers of our countertops thru Home Depot, a job that should have taken weeks ended up taking close to 3 months, first issue was after waiting 2 weeks we called to hear the stone is on back order, after waiting another week, same issue, still on back order. We had no choice but to travel 2 hours to pick another stone which was not our favorite choice. They had picked up our cooktop for a flush mount installation and 3 times in a 5 week period they kept cutting the stone all chipped edges and wrong size while they had the cooktop on hand by them for the perfect cut, it beats me why they kept sending there team all the way into Manhattan multiple times with the stone completely miss-cut. We were promised compensation once installation is complete, they denied and ignored us for 2 months by NOT returning calls or answering emails. What we accepted at the end was far from perfect and a poor installation but we had to move on. We vacuum daily around the cooktop as there are gaps all around, see attached photos and stay very far away from these guys, wish we saw all the bad reviews and very similar complaints before going with Penn Fabricators. read more

They left before we can see the damage since the entire kitchen was filled with dust. Mary the manager does not return calls. Its been 3 weeks since install and we are nowhere. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever dealt with. We were connected to Penn Fabricators after purchasing our counter tops from Home Depot. When our base cabinets were installed we contacted Penn Fabricators so they can come and do the final measuring for the counter tops. The measurer said it would take a week and a half until he had time to come and measure, which really did not make much sense to me. When he finally came, he was in and out in 5 minutes. He refused to take our sink base, after my wife offered him to take it with him. His response was "No, I got the measurements". Then a week and a half later the counter tops were delivered. However, the measurer put the wrong seam in the tops, therefore, the counter tops did not fit into our space. When the installers tried to remove the tops, they damaged our 2 lower cabinets, 1 upper cabinet and our wall. The counter tops were re delivered the next day with a second seam. Everything fit, however, the sink cut off was too big! The measurer took the wrong measurement, when he refused to take the sink base. The counter top installers had to come again. The whole process was extremely stressful. I would never do business with this company again. read more

This place makes me wish I could give 0 stars. My wife and I were renovating a kitchen through Lowe's so we were forced to use Penn Fabricators. After much back and forth scheduling delivery we had an appointment between 12-4pm on a Friday evening. With no contact from the installer we called around 2pm to see if they could give us an updated eta, to which the service person said that they had to push back out service window to 4-6pm. We told the service person that we had plans and this was very inconvenient. At around 4pm with still no contact we called again to which she said that they would be arriving in 45 mins. At 5pm we called again to which they said they would be another 20 minutes because of a flat tire. When the installer arrived he said he was over booked with installations and had been coming from Brooklyn to Suffolk county. No mention of a flat tire. The installation went fine as we have a small kitchen and minus a few spots where it wasn't fully caulked it looked ok. But when it came time to sign for the installation the installer had me sign some physical paperwork while he took pictures on his phone and clicked a bunch. He asked me to sign his phone and when I asked what I was signing he hid the phone and said it's just picture of the installation. He went to scroll through to show me the pictures but accidentally showed me a customer satisfaction survey which he had already answered. When I asked him to show me the questions he reluctantly showed me that he had answered yes to showing up on time and yes to calling while in route. He also gave himself a 10 out of 10 on customer satisfaction. I changed the answers to the correct ratings and he took the phone from me prior to me clicking submit and tried to clear my responses to which I told him I would not sign anything until he clicked submit. He clicked submit to my responses, told me it wasn't his fault he was hours late and left with the physical paperwork. If you're doing a project and have no choice beware, if you have a choice go someplace else. read more

IKEA uses this company for their Kasker Ceasarstone Countertops - I got pure white kitchen island with waterfall. Overall everything looks great. I did have to get measurements twice - and got charged $220 twice for templating. Make sure you're good and ready for the templating process so you don't get dinged twice. installers were nice and worked cleanly. They also came back to resize the kitchen sink faucet hole since it was a tad too snug for my faucet. read more

Never made good on promises, showed up 5 hours late with no call for service appointment and then said there was charges for the fixes that were promised (also part of original contract), did a poor repair job and left a mess. We had our kitchen counters done through Home Depot and Penn fabricators are the company they use. The installation was just horrible. Chips, cracks and the installers left stains on the countertop and a mess behind. I was furious. I called the regional manager and he did come over the next day but said these things were "borderline acceptable". I asked him if it were his house would he feel the same way? He didn't answer me. So they fixed the countertop but there are still chips on the back so hopefully the backsplash will cover them. The regional manager never called back to ask how everything looked. Poor customer service. They didn't care if we were happy or not. When items were backordered on Home Depot's end, it took a while to set up another appointment. Once we had our appointment for the countertop to be installed, the workers did everything in less than an hour. I have asked to speak to a manager a number of times and some how the managers are always in a meeting or not in. I worked with ara reyes and she was as nasty as nasty can get. How this lady has a customer service job is beyond me. I'd much rather use a long piece of cardboard as my countertop than give this useless company my money. Very disappointed. After spending 15k+ they treat you like crap. I went through Home depot for quartz countertops and they use Penn for fabrication. My project was done in stages and had many different parts. Penn constantly dropped the ball on measurements and had to come repeatedly to reinstall due to measuring incorrectly. They would leave saying they would be back 2 days later only to not show up until a week later without informing me. I would constantly have to call to find out when they are coming (which is their job). I've had a scratch in the top and it took 4 calls to finally get a repair date. Calling is another issue as no one picks up or calls back after leaving messages. You have to call 5-6 times before someone actually picks up the phone. Now i have the last 13sqft left to install (out of the close to 140sqft i bought) and they gave me an install date of 3.5 weeks out, they claim "its a busy time of year"! I had given them the full drawings and configurations of this area over 1.5 months ago it was no surprise that this was coming. They just dont care about the customer and are extremely unprofessional. I believe HD will be looking for new fabricators as well due to all this and i really hope they do. HD had been extremely helpful and cooperative in the entire process but Penn seems to be a nuisance to work with for everyone involved. 6 people need to approve for one thing. My counter top has been a terrible experience. We purchased a $2000 counter top from Home Depot...that price included everything ( material, measure and installation) It was expensive but we spent the extra money because it was guaranteed....any issues, free replacement. WHAT A JOKE! Our counter top developed a crack and an inspector was sent to determine if it was a manufacturers defect and therefore covered by the guarantee. Yes, they told us it was covered and that we would get a "free replacement". We would only have to pay for the labor.....then they quoted us the labor...$2000!!! How can the labor of installing a supposedly free replacement cost the same as the original purchase??!! Well, we couldn't afford their "guarantee" so we were forced to live with the crack. Unfortunately the crack grew and grew until it cracked my sink as well. We went over to Home Depot to get a price on replacing the entire job with out using the "guarantee"....the current price for the EXACT SAME counter top is now about $800 less than what we originally paid (that price includes measure and installation).....but to use their guarantee would cost us $2000 for JUST THE LABOR!!. Home Depot has been trying to get us an explanation for this inflated price for over a week now.....but Arabella Reyes at Penn Fabricators has not given them or us the courtesy of a return phone call. I hate the idea of purchasing the same counter top and giving these crooks more of my business, but if I don't, I would have to replace the counter tops on the other side of my kitchen as well or else I would have a mis matched kitchen. My next step is to send all of my documentation and photos over to Lynda Baquero at NBC news to see if she can get an explanation and hopefully a fair solution. read more

My wife and I have worked with the entire crew at Penn Fabricators for a kitchen countertops. We were so pleased, that when we did a total remodel of our master bathroom, we went right back to Penn. Again Rob and the crew were fantastic. The biggest problem we had, and it is TRULY NOT a problem is that Rob is a perfectionist. He treated our bathroom like it was his own. If he did not like the way something looked, he did not wait for us to agree. We went to his facility and picked our slabs and with a marker, Rob marked up the slab so we could see exactly how the piece would look. He is a master with a very artistic eye and imagination. With all of his experience, he saw things in the stone that emphasized its beauty. If you need stone for any purpose, go to Penn Fabricators. read more

I would not recommend this company. Home depot uses them to install various materials, such as those for kitchen counters. I purchase a new counter top made of dekton, which is very expensive (c.a. 30 percent more than a good quartz) and they sew it in the middle of the countertop surrounding the sink, thus ruining the beauty of the material and reason why I originally purchased dekton it resists over time much more to stains, burns). Their defense was that on the sheet of paper they made me sign there was a note saying "the installer reserves the right to sew where he think is appropriate" so I get that legally they covered their shoulders but morally that is not right. If they told us they were going to do that I would have changed material and saved at least 2000$. I also talked with an architect, with the manufacturer of dekton and they all told me they could have installed it leaving it in one piece. But it's harder so it is clear that they did that because they don't want to take the risk of installing an entire piece (aka, they are not sure they would know how to deal with this). Overall big disappointment- all it would have taken was more transparent communication since better skills seems too much to pretend! read more
