I have visited 3 other Penn stations and this store was the cleanest by far! The service was quick and the staff were friendly! I ordered a pizza sub and I am very happy to say it was the best one from any of the other stores I've been to! I will absolutely visiting again soon! read more

Very expensive for terrible food. Worst sandwich place in the area. This place gave me hellacious food poisoning.

While on the road with our service dogs, we stopped by a local restaurant craving a good sub. However, upon entering, the cook insisted that we leave the establishment because of the dogs. We clarified that they were service dogs, but were told we couldn't stay unless they wore a "vest." Despite explaining that their color signifies their support role, we were made to feel unwelcome. Probably the worst of all Penn Stations I've been too. Employees are rude, practically throw your tray of food at you and literally talk trash about others where you can hear them. Employee dropped my tray on the table so hard a bunch of fries flew out onto the table. She literally didn't skip a beat, didn't say a word, turned and walked back. read more

AWFUL- ordered on line..went to pick up...still waited 30 minutes! Very unorganized staff. Sandwiches were terrible...skimpy amount of ingredients..mostly bread. Pretty expensive for a hoagie bun! Usually love Penn Station but won't go to this one again. read more

The ordering process, we were told to go down to 2nd register that they only had 2 staff members working...the issue we seem to always have at any Penn Station is the Philly steak Sandwich is supposed to come with Pizza Sauce on it (only thing he didn't want on sandwich was banana peppers) so should have been delivered to table the way it's supposed to come "Shelia" is who rang us up and also who delivered meals to table but when she delivered Steak sandwich it didn't have pizza Sauce she then stated I'll get you a "side" brought side to table and stated under her breath "I did ask" we could hear; how unprofessional and friend stated no she didn't ask and I can confirm I was right there...sandwich comes with pizza sauce shouldn't have to be asked if they do or don't want pizza sauce unless customer states otherwise...but they both seemed to get loud amongst each other and that's when I stepped In and said "enough" ultimately "SHELIA" started it and that's VERY UNPROFESSIONAL in a place of work/business... read more

Very hungry small woman and her companion stop at this Penn Station on Dec. 1 to get a sub. His suggestion. we had been keeping an appt. at the nearby hospital.there were 2 staff. One took the money, while the other mangled the sub. Intended to be the artichoke and cheese sub, the request to cut it on the diagonalwas too difficult to understand. Stood here for 20 minutes watching and no one asked to help me. Which in itself isn't a huge deal I suppose but there was a small line and no one was being helped. I waited 10 min for someone to come and greet me and no one came, I even yelled hello and still no answer. I will not be back.

Absurdly slow. No one was in line, we ordered, and then waited. And waited. And waited. Several other people got their orders. Finally they brought the food after 20 mins. It they gave me the wrong size and kind of sandwich. When I went and told them it was the wrong sandwich, they were pissed and rude. All 3 employees rolled their eyes at me. And one who took my order said no that's what you ordered.. I would never order that as I hate Parmesan anything. I would normally just eat the wrong food and not say anything, but it's one thing I won't eat. I ordered teriyaki with no mushrooms or onions. She said she would re make it "i guess". No apologies or niceness. We have these in Missouri and they are good. We are on a road trip visiting new states, definitely not impressed by people in VW. read more

My last few trips to Penn Station (Southridge and St. Albans) I've noticed they seem to be putting less meat on the sandwiches. The quality of the bread, toppings and fries are still good, but they are getting to a point where the meat is non-existent! read more

My wife and I used to love to eat the Penn Station subs at the South Ridge location. However on our last visit we noticed none of the employees were wearing gloves while preparing our food. One employee wiped sweat from his fore head with his open hand and then picked up the bread and continued to make a sandwich. Not very appetizing to say the least. Needless to say, we won't return until management requires their employees to wear gloves while preparing food. I guess we'll try the Kanawha City location and see if they do any better. Management should realize most people wont take the time I have, they just won't go back. read more

I won't be going back. The place was pretty empty (only 2 other sets of people) at noon on a Saturday... that should have been a sign. This was my first visit to a Penn Station Subs so I wanted a moment to figure out their offerings; the guy taking the order didn't want to wait and was pushy- not cool. My sandwich (6 inch club) came out pretty quick, but the lady brought it out to me for dining in when I had ordered it to go... and found it funny that she had messed up. She carried my sandwich with her to drop off a sandwich to the only other people waiting... only to realize that they didn't put any of the toppings on the other sandwich. Apparently this 2 for 2 mess up was even more funny. Laughing and joking with the other employees about it, she brought both sandwiches back behind the counter to fix them. The lady wrapped mine up 'here you go pretty darling' (slightly uncomfortable) and the guy who had just handled the money put lettuce and tomato on the other folks sandwich... no hand washing or gloves. When I got home and unwrapped my sandwich I was even more disappointed; the insides had squished out of the dense bread, it only had two slices of meat, and was mostly lettuce. It was very sloppy to eat and not worth the 5.29 I spent on it. Next time, my 5 dollar bill will be spent at a sub shop on the other side of the shopping plaza, where I know I'll get a decent sandwich, made by people who care about their job, which stays together and actually leaves me satisfied. read more
