This review is about the cookies. Yesterday, someone I know told me how good the cookies are at Penn Station...chocolate chunk. So, had to buy some today! Amazing! Best cookies we've (got to share with the fam, right?) had in a long time. My oldest said they are so buttery and better than another fast food restaurant he normally eats cookies from. Giant chocolate chunks. The cookies were so fresh they were falling apart! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Other food that was being prepared when I went in smelled so good. Normally a good location. I asked for no tomato no mayo and no peppers per allergy and preference. They gave me what seems like a quadrupled amount of tomato and peppers rendering my to go order useless. read more

I appreciate a good sandwich shop and this one is really good. I ordered a small Italian sub and they sliced the onion so perfectly thin, and grilled it very well, I was impressed. The workers also were working hard to deliver food fast and friendly. We liked sitting inside and will be back. read more

So good! The fries are made to order and they have malt vinegar. Amazing. The Reuben is great as a wrap - they'll even seat it on the grill if you ask nicely and they aren't swamped. (They'll even make the Reuben with veggies instead of pastrami. Nice!) Portions are large and prices are good. Highly recommended! read more

Lemonade is good. Fries were good. Sandwich was underwhelming. I ordered the cheesesteak and companion got the Reuben. More bread than meat. I wanted to give it 3.5 stars but there isn't an option for that. read more

We have been to many Penn Stations - this one did not meet the usual high standards - and here's why: 1) the sub was MUCH smaller than usual (but the same price)! and 2) the fries were smaller and very hard/chewy - NOT GOOD I will not return to this location. read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch 1/8/19. Service was quick, the store was clean, and the food was great. And to top it all off the entire staff was incredibly polite, pleasant, and attentive. I've been to expensive restaurants where I didn't receive a fraction of the wonderful attention that I got today. Will definitely be back and would recommend to others. read more

Penn Station is very often a delicious alternative to the boring "sandwich/sub" restaurants which are so very popular. It's not quite fast food but it's certainly no high-class cuisine, either. What they offer is hot and cold subs which can be augmented to some extent, but mostly you are choosing a kind of sub like you would anywhere else. What is different is they eschew any idea of "healthy" meals from their menu and understand that people just want tasty, filling food. And that's what you get. Ingredients that taste great and vegetables that taste pretty good, too. They offer fresh-cut fries and homemade lemonade which both taste great. What I recommend are the hot sandwiches. I've tried almost all of them, and almost all of them have been great. That being said, for some reason, the cold options are not so great. Especially the tuna. I don't remember a time when I thought a sandwich could have too much sugar in it outside of an icecream sandwich, but this thing is like candied tuna with candied pickle juice. Guh-ross. But that's ok. Now you know not to get that. Try the hot italian. This is a satisfying freaking sandwich. Everything on it is perfect, from the banana peppers to the bread. Yummers! This particular branch made me sad. Their current "sandwich artist" messed up my girlfriend's order twice and the customer before us 3 times. So, this one gets 3 stars. Maybe go to another one. And get the lemonade. read more

For a place to grab quick sandwich, Penn Station lies somewhere between Quiznos and Subway. I think their sub is tastier than Quiznos although there is less selection. If health and calorie intake are your concern, Subway is the way to go. Good fresh lemonade and decent fries. This particular location is very busy especially for dinner. You may have to wait up to 20 mintues even though they have like 7-8 staff working. Can be frustrated when you order to go. read more

Food and service are good but on this occasion there was a minor mishap that could have been prevented. There was a long hair on my sandwich. The staff apologized and promptly made a replacement sandwich. This is an opportunity for the staff to consider using hair nets or take other measures to avoid a repeat hair sandwich. read more

Staff is extremely friendly. I've showed up about 20 minutes prior to closing thinking they would be annoyed with me, but I got the opposite treatment. They were super nice and even gave me the last remaining cookie. The fries are cut and fried to order so they're extremely fresh. I've had the Italian, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and the Reuben. They were all very good... I'd say the Italian was my favorite. I've gotten it hot and cold and both versions were equally good. I also like that they have both sweetened and unsweetened iced tea. I will be coming back again for sure. read more

Tonight was our first and last time we will come to Penn Station. I blame myself, because we were heading to Subway and I suggested we try something new. All I wanted was a simple turkey sandwich that was cold. First the order taker, gave me attitude when I said I wanted it cold. He explained to me the bread had to go through the oven, I said that is fine as long as everything else is cold. I stood and watched as they were making sandwiches to see the process. As I was watching the process I realized they ran mt bread through the oven with the mayo on it. I said, everything is suppose to be cold, they explained that can't put mayo on a sandwich after the bread has been through the oven. They did run a new piece of bread for me and said they would give me mayo packets. We ordered two orders of small fries as well. When we got home I tried a fry and they had no salt or pepper on them. When I have to come home and fix our food for it to edible, there is something wrong. I normally don't do these reviews as I work in the food service industry, and feel everyone has a bad day, but this experience was ridiculous and we won't be back. read more
