To say we were not disappointed is an understatement; we were stunned at how enjoyable the experience was. Everything.. EVERYTHING about this place is wonderful. Service was very attentive, friendly and helpful (and our waitress had only been working there 1 month.) The overall ambiance was stimulating and captivating. Stimulating because the music Powerhouse 60s hits from Ray Charles, Tom Jones, the Beatles and more was a *perfect* choice to enjoy yet not disrupt quiet conversation. Stimulating because the decor was so unique and interesting. And because just the vibe of everyone in there really enjoying themselves was palpable. What about the food you say? Every ingredient of all 4 different taco choices we made was wonderful; fresh, tasty and well prepared and presented. It's not very close to us but we are already excitedly figuring out when we can get back there - and I'm confident we are going to become regulars. It's a small place so going at peak meal hours might risk waiting. They have about 10 tables as well as another 8 or 10 stools at the bar. We did not drink so cannot review that aspect. We were told the place had come under new management in the last few months. As well as that place seemed to be functioning, we would never have guessed that. PS I didn't know until we ordered that they were giving free tacos to veterans, so that's a really cool mark on their patriotism and sense of community. PS 2 Small warning: The bench seats at the east (entrance) wall cut off circulation in my legs.

Got a seat at the bar and ordered a NA mojito and it was delicious, and also at only $5 I appreciated the price- sometimes NA drinks are as much as the full alcohol kind. Great attentive service and friendly chats with the employees. I went with the nachos which were SOOO good. Nachos are one of mh favorite foods, so I know good nachos- especially loved the pickled onions and that there were tons of toppings. My friend got two tacos with beef- can't remember the exact kinds but he enjoyed them. Such a great spot and will be back.

Yesterday i ordered a 16 piece family The side dishes were what I ordered. But when i opened the box to fix dinner for my little niece and nephews . I found all 16 pieces of chicken were wings and not just wings but wings that looked as if they had been in the deep fryer for a couple hours. I wasn't driving back in to town . It was getting dark and started to rain and it's about 12 miles each way. I did call and was told the manager was busy and didn't have time to talk. So from now on i will drive the extra 5 miles give or take and go to KFC.

Of all the parts of a chicken the livers and gizzards are the most disposable and CHEAPEST yet they charge a premium for them and they give you LESS food. A large is like a 1/3 of what it used to be. I don't know what the excuse is for this change? Inflation? Covid? Corporate Greed? Who knows? Times certainly have changed. On the other hand Lees cooking technique of their livers and gizzards are UNMATCHED because they pressure cook them which makes them buttery, tender, and melt in your mouth. Decades ago Springfield and Dayton area KFC's used to do them that way but removed them from all their locations and menus. Outside of this everything else there was PERFECT. Chicken and biscuits were piping hot and fresh. Potato Wedges are breaded, seasoned, and fried to perfection. Courteous staff and speedy service. If ya know ya know that LEES IS THE PLACE for that home style taste and flavors that don't seem mass produced out a factory or from Gordon Food Services like OTHER major chains.

SEVEN WORDS: GREAT HOMETWON TASTE / COMFORT FOOD / GOOD PORTIONS…read more . Meadows Restaurant is a Destination Trip, so if you're not inspired, you may miss out - on a VERY Good Meal. Located Right on Route 40, its truly inconvenient if you're coming from the Wrong Direction. However, its really worth it to drive past it, make a U-Turn on a Busy Highway, and then turn into the uphill drive to the private parking lot. . Meadows is VERY CONVENIENT to the Nearby Antique Mall, though, so this is a GREAT DAY TRIP for anyone making the Journey. All that being said, let's talk Food! . I was feeling a little heavy from breakfast, so I opted for the Grilled Chicken Salad. My wife, ever the Pork lover, ordered the Pork Chops with 2 Sides. Our food arrived quickly - around 10 minutes - and we were pleasantly surprised with two large dishes. . My Dish, a Grilled Chicken Salad, came in a Large Chilled Salad Bowl. To be honest, not a lot of Restaurants understand the importance and sheer luxury of chilled China ware when it comes to cool dishes like salad. . The Lettuce was chopped Iceberg. Every bite was fresh and there were no clumps of lettuce that hadn't been fully separat3d before prep. The tomatoes, were hearty Roma, and the cheese was a grated Mozzarella.Four marinated and crisp grilled to near perfection. Juicy and Crisp, these Chicken Spears were a perfect. So yummy and just barely sweetened by the vinegarette marinade. I only ate half. However, gobbled up the rest as we got home. 2 meals for me. . My Wife's Grilled zporknCops came with two sides. She chose Apple Sauce and Green Beans. The Pork Chops were also well-cooked: Crispy outside, tender within. She cleaned her plate and did the same with her beans and apple sauce. Mund you, she hadn't eaten all day, so even if she eats like a 5-foot-tall farm girl, there was enough to fill most anyone. On top of that, she left appy, so there's that. . Why a 4? Location, location, Location. If you're nearby: YOU GOTTA GO. If you're not, i can't see it being a Destination you'd seek out over a place 10 miles closer to home. Sorry to the Owners, its just a small bit of bad luck.

The two bartenders thanked us for coming in and one of the employees who was arriving at work waited on us to cross the parking lot to hold the door for us and was very friendly. I never got rude vibes as others are suggesting and the service was at a good pace and done well. We have 4 prime rib dinners and they were all tempered right and everything we asked for we got. The onion rings were great the prime rib was awesome the patty melt was very good and we are already planning another trip to try more of the menu.

Yuck yuck yuck yuck. This is not a place I want to go back…read moreto. We pulled into sonic.... sonic is supposed to be a car hop experience. Meaning, someone comes out to the car to take your order and bring your food. Well, they don't come to the car to order, each spot now has eliminated that aspect by installing a smaller sized drive thru menu on each of the parking spaces, you order and even pay for your food via credit card swiping there and someone brings out the food. It loses a lot of the experience that way. NOW ADD.... They didn't have a carhop that night so he had to either order your app or go through the drive-through. We didn't have the app didn't want it so we went through the drive-through I ordered a corndog and some kind of salted caramel croissant things that look like donut holes. I also order water: they ask what size, I say "I don't care. I'll be grateful for whatever water you give me." The girl goes well. We ask what size because we charge for water. Charge for water?!?! So I asked do you have bottled water? Yes. I'm like " I'll take that" I drive around auto get my order. I wait for my order.I wait some more. I am handed my order, and honest to God, the only thing that was good was that darn bottled water that I never intended on getting. The croissant bites were mushy inside They are covered in salted Carmel flavorored sugar... but there was nothing croissant like them. They did taste like salted caramel sugar on the outside, but the inside was mush- like complete mush. Gross, it hadn't even been cooked. But talking about being cooked.... now the corn dog seems like it had been cooked... Two hours ago and left on a counter then given to me. I mean they were not even remotely warm. I have never bitten into a corn dog that tasted like it had been sitting out for an hour. It was so disgusting. I couldn't eat it. I spit it out and it's in the bag stinking up my car. Not sure what the other menu items taste like, but if I were you, I would strongly avoid the croissant bites and the corn dog. Yuck yuck yuck yuck I give one star only because the guy at the window was pleasant and seemed like a nice guy. Everything else was negative stars even the girl who took my order was curt and a tiny bit irritating. It was not a fan of my sonic experience.

The fried food all tastes strange with a weird, sweet, old grease taste. The burgers do not have a quality taste. They are gristly and don't have much flavor, usually with messy toppings slopped on. Chicken bites are iffy with a lot of breading and mystery chicken inside. There is often a line and a long wait. I have experienced employees trying to speed up the process by delivering orders that are ready, directly to cars in line rather than waiting in the line to get to the windows.
