I had the best experience at Penny Jane Bridal- Deryn was so attentive to our entire bridal party, not just myself as the bride. I personally hate trying clothes on, but this was fun and exciting, and Deryn was patient and super detail oriented. I sent pictures of what I was looking for, and towards the end of my appointment Deryn helped me choose something completely different but something that felt entirely right to me. Having the entire store to ourselves made the experience really fun for our squad, and we got to make a night out of it with light apps and champagne. Came here with my best friend to find her wedding dress. It was the first shop we went to and we didn't need any other stops once we got here. The shop was very quaint and the shop owner herself was our consultant for the day. She had a great selection for our $2k budget and was very attentive. She listened to the brides concerned and was able to really help her narrow in on the style she wanted. At the end of the day she ended up saying yes to the dress but their was no pressure from the owner to make that decision. It was a very personal experience and exactly what you would want dress shopping to be. If you are a Mass bride do yourself a favor and make a stop here. read more

Would be 0 stars if i could. I originally ordered a bridesmaid dress on February 4th, 2024. I received my dress on the week of the 17th of June, 2024. When I received my dress It did not fit, it was about two sizes too small. The bride and I reached out to the owner of this company in hopes of getting a resolution. We originally reached a consensus to go to the boutique so I could get my dress measurements remeasured. I took time off work on June 20th to go to the boutique, the employee Elena took my measurements and found that they were the same from February. So despite my measurements being the same I still was left with a dress that did not fit properly. The dress did not zip up unless I wasn't wearing any undergarments, the pockets were completely wide open, my breasts were spilling out the top of the dress, as well as it being too tight on my hips where you could not see the detailing of the pleats in the dress. The owner of this business was not present at the re-measurement due to an injury. Our exchange was through email back and forth where the only options she provided me with was to "possibly" acquire more fabric for the dress for alterations, or try to "let out" the dress to "give me the relief I need". During this exchange I asked the owner if we could order the same dress in two sizes up. Her response was that the fastest she could get a new dress was in 5 weeks, so that "would not work." When I questioned why this timeline would not work, despite the wedding being 6 weeks away - communication stopped as she said she felt uncomfortable moving forward on an email chain, and told me to call her cell phone. I did not call because I did not feel comfortable not having documentation of our conversation. As a plus size woman, I was forced to pay for a dress that did not fit; I feel cheated. In the end I was never helped by this business and they did not provide me with any real solution. The bride and I found another boutique that expedited the dress to us on time for the wedding. I even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and this business never responded! They clearly don't care! Don't come here!!! read more

Penny Jane Bridal is the place to go if you need to find the dress of your dreams and you are between sizes 0 - 24! They helped me to find my perfect dress even though what I had in mind is a lot more modest than what your average bride in 2024 is looking for. I feel that the dress I chose will literally become an important part of the history of our family. It's so elegant and timeless. Shopping for my wedding dress at Penny Jane Bridal was a dream! Ahead of my appointment, I chose this salon based on the wonderful reviews surrounding the experience & how body inclusive the business is. The Owner (my Stylist), Deryn, was AMAZING - she greeted my Mom & I yesterday with such warmness & genuine interest in my special day. She and I partnered on choosing a number of gowns - some that I expected to try on & others that were a "stretch" on my vision - I loved how she has everyone try on different styles & we discussed things I liked/didn't like on gowns I tried on to get us closer to THE gown. And I found it within my first appointment - a beautiful private label gown that will be with me on my special day next September (2023). I recently purchased my dress at Penny Jane Bridal and so far have nothing but positive things to say about Deryn (the shop owner) and the shop itself. I don't have prior wedding dress shopping experience, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. But, Deryn has made my personal experience as smooth and stress free as possible. Pro: you are allowed to bring wine, cheese, etc. whatever you want, to the appointment, which was awesome, and we did. Con: you might drink too much, not get ANY good pictures of the dress and then wake up the next morning wondering what you just spent $1000 on and call Deryn in a panic. Pro: Deryn will say "I haven't ordered the dress yet; don't worry! You can come back and put your deposit towards a different dress if you want. My goal is for you to be happy!" Con: You will then have to come back and be forced to make a decision and realize that you made the right decision and wasted Deryns time coming back two more times to be sure you did. Pro: She is still gracious about it and will insist that you did not waste anyone's time and give you a hug. If you are looking for a personalized shopping experience from beginning to end, this shop is for you. My family was welcome in the store and we all tried things on (including my 10 year old niece, who didn't *really* fit into anything, and my sister, who wasn't *really* shopping for a wedding dress). With all the opinions, I was unsure at first and just needed some time to think for myself. I went to a few off the rack places and can say that PJB made the process of trying on dresses SO much easier. I still have a few decisions to make, but I can't imagine having to go through this process at a less personal place and am grateful to have Deryn by my side throughout the process. I wasn't sure if I was going to find my dress but there were so many styles to choose from!
