I had a great experience at Marianne's and even though I didn't find my dress here, I can totally see how someone could! Some of the dresses can be made to order but others you can take home day of. Abby was very helpful and patient with me during the whole experience and even ran up the stairs to help me take a picture with a cathedral veil from above. And she definitely had me clipped into those dresses very securely which I appreciated! There isn't a huge selection but there is a good variety! From what I understood Marianne has started her own line as well so dresses from that line are a little more modern than the others. They have the dresses organized by silhouette and you can go through and pick the ones you want to try on and afterwards the attendant can recommend dresses to you based on the ones that you picked too in case you missed anything! The prices seemed to range but nothing was over $2500 that I saw! read more

I had a wonderful experience at Marianne's! Marianne herself was my attendant and she was so knowledgeable and I felt like I could really trust her. She was very encouraging and gave me so much helpful advice along the way. She was also super fun to work with and made the experience awesome. I didn't catch her name, but another attendant ended up overhearing what I was looking for and happened to find the perfect dress at the very end of my appointment. I felt so comfortable in it and also very excited - which I hadn't found yet in a dress! And I fell in love with the one she picked out and will likely be going back for it. On March 15, 2019 I sent Marianne Stout, the owner of Marianne's Bridal Outlet a formal demand letter seeking compensation for what her "experienced in-house seamstress, Lisa Goneya", had done to my wedding dress and in turn how it affected my wedding day. I included approximately 30 photos of the dress, including when I purchased it, during the alterations process, before and after pictures, as well as pictures that were formally taken from at my wedding by my professional photographer and snapshots of my wedding video, which was also done professionally. Lisa's extremely poor alterations ruined my wedding dress, which fell apart on my wedding day, even before the ceremony started. And then completely fell apart during my wedding reception during the first dance with my husband. The appropriate path to follow was to send Marianne a formal demand letter before filing in small claims court. I received a certified letter on April 15, 2019 basically stating that Lisa Goneya Was not an employee of her bridal shop and that any concerns should be taken up with Lisa directly, I try to do that during the entire alterations process with both Lisa and Marianne and Marion defended her, telling me that she would correct her mistakes and not to worry about it that my dress would be perfect by my last fitting which was 36 hours before I was leaving for my wedding weekend. If Lisa was not an employee of your bridal shop Marianne, you should have said that during the period of time from when you gave me her name as your "excellent inexperienced in-house Seamstress" to the point in time where you sent me home at 9 PM on the night of my last fitting, claiming there was nothing else that you could do for me and that nobody would notice the imperfections in my wedding dress and to try to have a good wedding day. You never once in the course of nine months of the dress process told me that Lisa was not employed by your shop. Why? Because she gave you money to do the alterations work at your shop or the agreement that you had with her, the agreement that you posted in your Facebook statement that you deleted. You didn't mention that she was an "Independent Contractor" until AFTER my wedding happened and I told you that my dress fell apart on my wedding day. Then suddenly you admitted in a public Facebook forum, that your "experienced in-house seamstress didn't actually do the type of quality work that you thought that she did and that you were now looking to expand your Seamstress list". After you posted that on Facebook and realized that you stuck your foot in your own mouth, you quickly removed your comments, but not before I took screenshots admitting your guilt and the fact that she was not very experienced, and also admitting that you wanted to send me a restaurant gift card for my troubles, as if that would make up for the fact that your employee ruined my dress and my wedding day. So aside from the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Laws, there is also something called the Massachusetts Independent Contractor Law, which also protects me as a consumer who purchased my dress at your shop. I've attached a copy of that law for your reference. You referred your brides to Lisa, she did not have an independent business, and she worked directly out of YOUR bridal shop at your direction and with your permission, so by Massachusetts State Law, that made her an employee of your bridal shop. And because I brought all of my concerns to you immediately as they occurred and you assured me that she knew what she was doing and that Lisa had over 25 years experience and that everything would be OK and not to worry and not to stress that my dress would be perfect by the night of my last fitting, that was deceptive. Because you couldn't follow through on that promise. And also because you admitted she did not do the quality type of work that you thought she did after everything was said and done. And I've had several people contact me saying they had multiple issues with Lisa, some of which were brought to your attention. So when I asked you point-blank the night of my last fitting if you had ever had any complaints about Lisa, you maybe one or two in the past, but nothing serious. I actually demanded that you come into the shop the night of my last fitting because I was not leaving there with my dress the way that Lisa had botched it, so you tried to fix my wedding dress with Lisa that last night up until 9 PM and neither one of you could fix the errors that she made, so you sent me home crying at 9 PM and then had the audacity to ask me to send your wedding pictures and you gave me a hug. read more

This boutique is really beautiful and seemed to have lots of options for brides who are smaller in size. I am a size 14 in regular clothing so my options were pretty limited. I met Marianne who is very friendly and is also the owner. I e-mailed her prior to going to her location to see if she had any dresses in my style around my price range. I went to numerous locations prior and always ended up liking something out of my price range. Marianne e-mailed me back in a timely manner and advised she had some dresses in my style, size, and price range. Even though the location was over an hour to get to, I felt that I had to check it out. Marianne also updates her dresses on her Facebook page on new arrivals, so I would recommend looking at that as well. When I got to her store, she greeted me with a smile and was very personable. Her store is also very cute, organized, clean and she painted the decor herself! Marianne instantly thought about what dresses she thought I would be interested in prior to my arrival. We went around together and we also chose the same dresses and sometimes she showed me some others to try. The dress I fell in love with was on the mannequin and of course she brought it up that it would be perfect for me. All in all, that was the dress I chose and love! She was patient with me as it was hard for me to make a decision. Her dresses are sample dresses that she has gotten from other locations but they are all designer dresses at much more reasonable prices and in a great condition. They were at least 50% off and sometimes more. She was very honest with me and did not feel sales pitchy to me at all. She seemed like she truly wanted me to find the dress I loved but in a price I could work with and not to just get something to get something. You can also put a non-refundable deposit on a dress for $100 or redeem it for accessories at her store, if you end up finding your dress elsewhere. She has dresses from designers such as Alfred Angelo, Casablanca, Maggie Sottero, and many more. I was even able to pick out my veil and bring everything home on the same day! She advised she tends to get new dresses in monthly. She just opened this store in January of 2016, but I can already tell this bridal outlet will be a great success! Marianne was a sweetheart and made me feel so comfortable as I tried on dresses at her shop. BY appointment only, my mom, sister and I had the place to ourselves so we could really just enjoy the experience. I'm very happy with my dress from Marianne's Bridal Outlet. I visited with my mom, my sister, and my grandma. It was easy to schedule a weekday appointment with Marianne on the day my family was visiting from out of town. Marianne was warm and welcoming. She really wanted me to find the dress I liked and didn't push her opinion on me. I normally don't like shopping for clothes at stores where they don't have everything in every size, but it worked out great here. I'm between an 8 and 10 dress size in normal sizes (I've heard bridal is different). It seems most of the dresses in the store were my size or could be altered to fit me. The dress I chose was Justin Alexander brand and $600 - there were many dresses in that price range. The dresses are sold off the rack. I took my dress home the day we went there. This is perfect if you don't have a lot of time before your wedding. Closer to the wedding, I had alterations done by Lisa at the store, who Marianne recommended. Lisa did a great job, was pleasant to work with, and charged a fair price. It was a little bit difficult for me scheduling times to meet up with her, especially since I live an hour away, but we made it work. I decided to check out Marianne's Bridal Outlet after being thoroughly unimpressed with the disorganization, poor quality, and cattle-herding experience of David's Bridal. I went in with my mom on Thursday night and never expected that I would walk out with a gorgeous gown THAT very evening, but - spoiler alert - that's what happened. :) Marianne is such a down-to-earth person who offers great advice but does not try to sway a bride in one direction or another. Mariannes was an amazing little shop! I had three appointments in one day and started at Mariannes. I found two dresses that I loved but they happened to be the first two I had tried on and I wasn't ready to commit after two dresses. I went to my other two appointments and of course found dresses I liked but ultimately ended up back at Mariannes. She was wonderful the dresses were beautiful and the prices were unbeatable!
