She came to this work to be of service, like she was when she worked in animal rescue. The $475 cremation fee included a simple and elegant wood box, foot imprints in clay and another set in ink. Yet they recommended a second meet and greet with this dog. They had to put a muzzle on for this meet and if it wasn't for that muzzle, our dog would be dead. So, we kept trying and found another dog that ended being a good fit, but with a recommendation to do a second meet and greet to make sure. Today my family showed up to do the second meet, and they refused to do it because last time there was a little growling, but no malicious with it. This was supposed to confirm or not if this dog was a good fit with ours, and they wouldn't let us. But they'll let a known very bad match do the second meet. The first time we were there, there was another lady who had spent all day falling in love with the cutest puppy. She went to start the adoption paperwork and then told she couldn't adopt this dog because there was a hold on it. What the hell is wrong with the Longmont Humane Society, messing with people's emotions and the additional stress put on the pets and the pets in your facility. We have successfully adopted several pets from there in the past. We will definitely never return to this facility.

I called multiple times on Friday and Saturday to get an update on the status of my dog, often more than once per day, but received no response. The only communication I received was a text message on Sunday stating that my dog was ready for pickup. The message stated: "Pickup may be made weekdays 3 p.m.-6 p.m. or Sat/Sun before 3 p.m. or by appointment." Based on that information, I arrived at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The employee was already leaving but did return to assist us. Unfortunately, the pickup felt rushed, and I was not given the opportunity to look at or purchase an urn before leaving. Losing a pet is an incredibly difficult experience, and I would have appreciated more consistent communication and a less rushed pickup process during such an emotional time.
