She came to this work to be of service, like she was when she worked in animal rescue. The $475 cremation fee included a simple and elegant wood box, foot imprints in clay and another set in ink. I get that's the reality of the situation but come on. envisioning my dog in flames is pretty horrifying. I noticed there is a pet cemetery out front. I did not know that was an option. I wish I would've known about that because the idea of cremating makes me really sad. It would have been nice to pick up at a different location without the fucking garage door open watching people back a truck in to unload animals. Maybe deliver to vet offices? Or deliver to peoples homes? I will never cremate again. I'm so sad I went this route. I'm pissed that I had to go to this place and see that.

I called multiple times on Friday and Saturday to get an update on the status of my dog, often more than once per day, but received no response. The only communication I received was a text message on Sunday stating that my dog was ready for pickup. The message stated: "Pickup may be made weekdays 3 p.m.-6 p.m. or Sat/Sun before 3 p.m. or by appointment." Based on that information, I arrived at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The employee was already leaving but did return to assist us. Unfortunately, the pickup felt rushed, and I was not given the opportunity to look at or purchase an urn before leaving. Losing a pet is an incredibly difficult experience, and I would have appreciated more consistent communication and a less rushed pickup process during such an emotional time.

They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

His prices were much better, but unfortunately, they have increased. So, as for now, that would be my only complaint. On a positive note, when I have an urgent matter or concern, the girls Megan and Jaime always get me in ALOT sooner than Sheepdraw could. Usually within that day or the following day. They are very patient and attentive. If you want Dr. Powell to be more sociable, you just got to probe him a little more. He can be amusing at times, giving me funny (not offensive) looks.
