I called multiple times on Friday and Saturday to get an update on the status of my dog, often more than once per day, but received no response. The only communication I received was a text message on Sunday stating that my dog was ready for pickup. The message stated: "Pickup may be made weekdays 3 p.m.-6 p.m. or Sat/Sun before 3 p.m. or by appointment." Based on that information, I arrived at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The employee was already leaving but did return to assist us. Unfortunately, the pickup felt rushed, and I was not given the opportunity to look at or purchase an urn before leaving. Losing a pet is an incredibly difficult experience, and I would have appreciated more consistent communication and a less rushed pickup process during such an emotional time.

Anytime you lose a pet is traumatic. This place is definitely old-school. But if you've been around…read moresince 1939 you must be doing something right. I was able to bring my sweet kitty here and have her cremated. She was 18 1/2 so it was pretty traumatic for me. I felt the place was calm and they were able to get her ashes to me the next day. I paid the extra for a paw print. I'm sure glad I did. It will be a great reminder. Their prices are very reasonable as I had checked other places. i'm glad I chose this location. Again, not much to look at but kind caring service.

She was told when dropping off her cat that she could do a communal cremation but her cat would be separated so she could get her cats remains back. When she talked to the lady a week later, the lady tried to gaslight her. My son was with her and heard the exchange. There was no acknowledgement on their mistake, no apology, nothing. Will never do business with them again.

Lasting Paws was in charge of his cremation. When I opened the box containing his paw print, I was flabbergasted. On it was a tiny paw. It looked like that of a kitten. Walter had HUGE feet. I don't know if Lasting Paws sent out some generic piece of crap or got Walter's paw print mixed up with someone else's. All I know is, we are EXTREMELY disappointed. We were looking forward to seeing that huge footprint and remembering our big boy. Instead, we're left with something that will only remind us of the anger we felt when we opened the box. There are no second chances to get this right. We have two other little tigers, and rest assured that when their time comes, I'll make darn sure that Lasting Paws isn't handling their end-of-life care. I wish I could give them negative stars, but one will have to do. Take my advice, don't let these people near your beloved pet. You'll be glad you did.

Kerry M. was our vet and she walked us through every step, educated us, was patient, and was so kind to Iverson and us. I had to cancel the first appointment because I was not ready to say goodbye. They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.
