The selection of furniture was good. Prices too expensive for such old products. Men's selection was horrible. Too much ladies stuff. $20 is too much for a pair of ragged shoes. There was one person to check everyone out and she moved slower than molasses. She should've been at home watching her great grandchildren instead of being at work. There are many photos online so I didn't take any. It's a clean, neat store. A lot of thrift shops are overstocked so it's hard to see what they have but this one had a good amount of space. It was easy to look through their racks and shelves. There's always something different and most things are in good shape. I enjoy popping in to see what new items they have. They have good prices, especially if you look for the half price color or check their website to go on a day when they offer discounts. read more

This was my first visit to Penny Wise Thrift even though I've driven past many times. I was surprised at the openness of this very well-lite area and size of the building. Everything was clean and everything was in it's place. No piles of items laying around. The store has plenty of isle room to browse between the various areas. It doesn't feel cramped, dark, dirty and claustrophobic like many thrift stores. The furniture, including sofas and dressers, chests, tables and chairs to name a few are located to the right as you enter. I found several pieces that would make a nice project. Houseware and home decor are located almost in center of store with lots of variety to select from. Clean glassware, home decor and more are easily accessible on large open sided shelves. Several racks of shoes, some still with tags on, were shelved and organized well. I found a decent amount of purses with many slightly used and a few looking new. The everyday clothing was clean, in good condition, organized well and made browsing quick and simple. All of the jean's are grouped together by size and so affordable. If you are a thrifter who enjoys searching for formal wear and wedding dresses then pop in here. The selection was impressive, excellent condition on the pieces I pulled out and unbelievable prices. Several people were trying on dresses while I was there. I can understand why this store had a steady pace of customers walking through the door. Clean, organzied well, nice selection, reasonable prices and arranged for browsing. I'll be back since the inventory changes daily. I almost forgot to share the most important information! I started coming here a little while ago after the rebrand and while I've found some great pieces and rare books that I've had in my wishlist, the service I received this past Sunday was strange. I was under the impression they closed at 6 (the hours were posted on the door) I overlooked it, MY mistake. However, the cashier coming into the dressing room at 4:45 and TURNING OFF THE LIGHTS while I was still in there (thankfully the individual rooms are lit) and saying "Fitting room is closed" was kind of rude. I asked her for my own knowledge when they closed and she said at 5 and I asked her if I could finish trying on my selections (I had like 5 sweaters) since I had about 10 min left. She told me to hurry up. There wasn't any sign to my knowledge that the fitting room closed earlier so I thought I had a little time. I ended up not trying on my clothes and just heading to register. It was dark in the fitting room and I didn't feel welcome. I've worked in retail and couldn't wait until closing time as well but I just felt like I wasn't treated right. Also, the prices have increased tremendously on freely donated items. For costume jewelry from the early 2000's to be priced at $10 and up is absolutely INSANE. I know for next time (maybe) to come and try clothes on earlier so I'm not left in the dark. Literally! read more

This used to be my absolute favorite, sadly just this week they totally revamped their pricing. Everything went up by 300-400%. $2 for a childrens paperback book. $6 for a used pan. $1 for a single glass. Honestly I won't bother going anymore for these prices on DONATED goods. I understand rising prices are a reality, but this is ridiculous and short sighted. read more

I currently volunteer at penny wise I have to say I've gotten some few fines from here probably the cheapest of the big chains, like Goodwill and Red Cross The people are always nice and you are guaranteed to find some clothes that will work for you and some furniture that is either livable now or an opportunity for a fix and flip for very cheap. The rotation is quick. A lot of people donate definitely a place you want to go to for those purchases mostly women know it's mostly for women. You won't find a lotta good guy clothes there, nor children. read more

I love Pennywise, especially the organization they benefit. I donate all my clothes here. I recently found so many great things here as well; a brand new pair of blue linen pants (MSRP $120, BOUGHT THEM FOR $8!), a green silk blouse, and a jean skirt, YARN... And my personal fave find; a mini ironing board. Head to Pennywise when you're free for an hour or so, I promise you won't regret it. read more
