We stayed at this lovely place for two nights on our first visit to the Blue Mountains and both John and Sipha made sure our stay was as comfortable and homey as possible. It made us glad to be there at night after a whole day of trekking. Their installations are the perfect balance between classic home feeling, and high end customer satisfaction installations. They even have their own small cinema for those cold nights you want to keep warm and relaxed! Breakfasts were always nice, sharing the morning with the hosts and some other guests. They provide a lot of information and help to make sure every guest enjoys their stay at their home. Next time I go to the Blue Mountains, I'm not even going to look at other places. We'll go straight to the Katoomba Manor. Highly recommended

Receptionist was very helpful and patient while helping me check in, I had a handful of questions and she was able to answer them all very nicely. Decent sized room, very clean & neat. Chair and table for relaxation on the patio ready for you already, decent sized bathroom, with tub and shower. The only thing that bothered me resulting in -1 star is the AC unit in the room, when it starts operating its pretty loud and in the middle of the night, can sound like someone is entering the room, and also, it seems to be always idling with hot air blowing out. It's a good menu in the Mezzanine restaurant. I enjoyed the burger which was as good as many from dedicated establishments (see the picture) and the cheese platter was also rewarding with a choice wine from their current attempt to promote themselves as a destination for fine juices of the grape. But as always, a wotif booking has me in a room next to the elevator shafts which are as soundproof as a box of tissues. But the location is conveniently located near the freeway off ramps, supermarket, fast food alternatives and a quaint little establishment called "Hooters". Thankfully, the Yelp review of "Hooters" made me decide to sup within the confines of the Mercurial and so too, the delightful chips accompanying the night's burger. Worth the price of admission, especially if you utilize the discount voucher on the mirror giving you a two for one drink (Ahhhh, blessed Gordon's on ice) 10% off the burger and a free bottle of plonk for the return meal back home.
