I've been wanting to come here for years! So glad I stopped in. Debbie was a pleasure to work with, she had lots of great recommendations and was easily accessible as I had questions all throughout wandering the store. All spices have a smelling jar (not tasting) and it gives you a better feel for what you would use it for. Also every spice blend has a recipe! It helps with a starting point for how to use it. There happened to be an awesome sale when I came, which expanded what I bought so I could try another item. Sign up for emails! There are sales often. I had a great experience and can't wait to try more!!!!

Two of my favorite seasonings. Sunny Spain and Arizona Dreaming

Because of health concerns, I needed some seasoning options other than salt. A dietician told me about Penzeys and that they had a big selection of salt free seasoning. I went to their store, and I was overwhelmed with the huge selection, but I was quickly helped and found some great salt free seasoning. This will be my goto source for all my seasoning.

I have been a customer of Penzeys for 30 years. First in Milwaukee their hometown, then online and now Tucson store. Their products are of the finest quality and a great variety. If you are a cook/baker, a stop in the store will let you experience their products and you won't be disappointed. www.penzeys.com

Just stopped by to see if they sold Thai spice, no they don't. Really surprised. Maybe they should change their name to "Some spices".

I was delighted to find not different "brands" of cinnamon but different types of cinnamon as well.

Their products are consistently good, and I've never been disappointed with an order. My go to favorites are the Gushers, Skittles, Sour Belts, and Sour Patch Kids. Every time I think about trying something new, I end up sticking with my usual order because of how much I enjoy it. One of these days I'll finally branch out and explore more of their menu! The storefront has a really cool vibe, although I've mostly just stopped in to pick up my orders rather than hang out. They also sell some excellent rim dips that are perfect for adding a fun twist to homemade drinks. Another thing I appreciate is the flexibility because u can have your order shipped or pick it up at one of their locations and save on shipping costs. If you're looking for quality Mexican candy, Tannas Botannas is definitely worth checking out.

Taste like a smooth flavored eegee but.. better. Their prices are so fair & often I think it's a bargain for the potion sizes. Inside seating is small but most folks come in and leave with their food. They sell other treats like Mexican candy, and churros. The people who work here are always a ray of sunshine and so helpful. Cannot say good enough things!

The store has a butcher counter, small grocery section, ready to eat food made to order, and a bbq master waiting to grill your carne asada. The birria bombs are located behind the counter. WOW! This was so incredibly easy to prepare. The meat, water, and the bomb, that's it. The flavor was really good. For me, it was a little on the spicy side, but my husband thought it was the perfect amount of heat. My only word of caution is use the shoulder or chuck roast it recommends. I didn't have either of those at home, but I did have a 3.5 hunk of London broil, so I used that. I had to keep it in the crock pot for an extra 2 hours to get the meat tender, but it was worth it. I also failed on the corn tortillas, didn't have any, so we made quesadillas with flour tortillas and ate the birria on the side. Still super delicious.

Also purchased flour tortillas, salsa, green corn tamales, red chile tamales and beans. The food was delicious with two exceptions--red and green tamales. The tamales most definitely need to be discarded and replaced.... 1. So so dry; not moist; not fluffy 2. Green corn needed more cheese and more green chile; too skimpy on the ingredients 3. Masa was gritty Service was excellent. Meat counter staff were very helpful. The gentleman grilling was very friendly and accommodating. Cashiers were friendly and polite. Will be back soon but WILL NOT TOUCH THE TAMALES.
