I've been anticipating visiting People's Coffee since it first opened in Pittsboro. The location has an inviting vibe that makes it great to meet a friend or even for remote work. The decor is full of character with a mixture technology and wall designs. I ordered the caramel latte after receiving a recommendation from one of the baristas. I have to say that both of the baristas seemed happy and were very friendly. I enjoyed speaking to both of them during my first visit. The caramel latte was creamy, smooth and full of flavor. The latte had just the right amount of sweetness. Add this to your list of places to visit in Pittsboro, NC.

A truly horrible place. Avoid at all costs. Cold unfriendly staff, limited space and over price food and beverage.

Food: 4.5 Location: 5…read moreInside/seating :5 Service: 5 Overall value: 4 My spouse and I came here for lunch as we were in the area, and it was recommended. I had the BLTA sandwich with french fries and Dijonaise on the side and my spouse had the sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito with home fries. We also each got different sodas from the cooler area. The total for two lunch entrées and two canned sodas was about $40. I feel like this is pretty high relatively speaking for a sandwich and fries, and a breakfast burrito and home fries + two canned sodas, which is why I gave the overall value a four. However, the breakfast burrito, home fries, and regular fries were AMAZING. Probably one of the best breakfast burritos I have had in a really long time, and the home fries were crispy and well seasoned. The sandwich I had was pretty good, but nothing super special, and definitely not worth $16. I didn't particularly care for the Dijonnais, but that's just personal preference and glad I had it on the side. The restaurant itself has ample parking and is easy to find. It has a lot of seating, as well as lounge type seating for the breakfast/café crew and people who might be coming to do a little bit of work. You order at the front and they give you a number and bring the food out to your table. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and kind. The restaurant itself was clean. Overall, I would probably give this somewhere between a four and a five, but I do really love to support Local and I could tell this place probably makes a banging coffee drink and had delicious looking desserts, so I went with a 5. Unfortunately, we live between 35 and 40 minutes away, so we likely won't return, but if we find ourselves in that area of Chapel Hill, I would consider stopping in for another breakfast burrito!

We went the Friday before that weekend, which I definitely recommend for no crowds! Our first high tea experience was elegant, satiating, and gorgeous! We were nervous the small portions may not be enough, but we were full and able to take leftovers. The service was friendly and professional. They let us sit and chat over tea and snacks for hours, which we appreciated not being rushed. We perused the grounds to see the gardens, bookstore, cows, goats, and beautiful landscaping. What a quaint, bucolic gem!

The good: beautiful space, excellent Harney & Sons tea, and outstanding scones. Unfortunately, that's where the highlights end. The milk bread used for all the sandwiches was dense, dry, and hard to swallow, which wiped out an entire tier of the service. No one came to check on us, so we had no chance to raise our concerns. A booked baby shower in the same room completely killed the ambiance, and despite noting a special birthday at reservation, it went entirely unacknowledged. Beautiful bones, but the execution made my birthday memorable for all the wrong reasons.
