No big surprise at the Kirkland facility. You may need to update your format every 40 years or so Also, if you were prescribed medication for Seizures, make sure to leave that and any other medications home. They asked me 2-3 times if I was willing to discard my Clonazepam for my seizures, and I told them absolutely NOT, that is my medication. With all of the so called 'recovering addicts" that work there, my medication was never returned to me!!

I found everyone, from housekeeping to the business office, very polite, kind, and understanding of my needs. All staff members were easy to talk with. The food was great, and there were always two choices for lunch and dinner. After-hour snacks were in good supply. The head cook made it a point to visit the floor and ask how the food was. All the nurses and aides were very professional and answered my call light in a timely manner most of the time. The Physical and Occupational Therapy Staff worked out a plan for me to concentrate on the areas needing the most improvement. With the program outlined for me, I could measure my day-to-day Improvement. Even though I had to work hard in the Therapies, it was almost like a country club. There were activities every day, bingo twice a week, and a daily newsletter. I would highly recommend Advanced Post Acute to anyone needing their services.

I just want them to fix their things, and answer The call buttons. I know patients abuse it, but in this case he got hurt because of the neglect.

He is sensitive, kind, and dependable. Residents feel safe with him because he treats people with patience and genuine respect. In an environment where people are often vulnerable and relying on others for help, that kind of empathy makes a real difference. Steven also deserves strong recognition. He is not afraid of hard work and consistently does his job well. What stands out most is the way he helps residents feel comfortable about their bodies during very vulnerable moments. Personal care situations can be awkward or embarrassing, but Steven handles them with professionalism and respect, which preserves people's dignity. Demetrius is another staff member who clearly works extremely hard. He is constantly moving--running up and down the halls at what feels like the speed of light trying to help wherever needed. They don't make you feel like you're bothering them when you need something. No matter what you are having them do. Cleaning you up, getting ice water, or just opening the blinds. There is 1 nurse on the night shift which is very grouchy and rude. She gets off at 10:30pm and i called to be changed and she said "Your couldn't wait for 10 minutes to push your button. Excuse me if I dont know your schedule and I can't control my bowels. Maybe she shouldn't be taking care of elderly patients.

Caregivers Melinda, Kara and Nurse Stella were great. I expected that as a health service provider, it would be perfume free. However an unusual number of them wore perfume, some very strong. I am allergic to most perfume, so discussed it with the supervisor. She apparently thought I was the only person who was reactive and did nothing. A couple of days later, I smelled her wearing perfume. I was also disappointed there was no decaff coffee. I can't be the only one with high blood pressure. It seems that a healthcare facility should always have decaff for patients.
