During a very difficult evening with my 86‑year‑old mother, who suffers from dementia and alcoholism, the Peoria Police Department showed exceptional professionalism and compassion. The 911 operator carefully listened to my concerns, honored my request for a silent response, and clearly communicated the situation to the responding units. Seven officers and several fire department members arrived and handled everything with patience, kindness, and respect, taking time to explain what they were doing and to reassure our family. A special mention to the female officer who gently spoke with my mother and helped calm her down--her empathy made a huge difference. I would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to Sergeant K. Scheideman for his calm, steady leadership throughout the incident. His demeanor set the tone for the entire team and turned an overwhelming situation into one where we felt truly supported and cared for. Waited at door for 30 minutes for officer to let us in because of $5000 fraud to us? no would help us so left

I have a neighbor that has some kind of machine in their back yard. Sometimes it runs all night, like now. It's been running since I got home at 10:00 pm. I have called twice tonight and it is still on. High pitch humming sound and it echoes through my home. I will get turned on at random times and shuts off at random times. It is now almost 2:00 am and tonight I called first at 11:15 pm. It's still going. I'm not well, as I recently told I have type 2 diabetes, arthritis in my hips and on heart meds. I don't think I could walk to their door from the street and do this myself. I can still hear it HHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM and it wont stop. Peoria PD probably thinks it's too much work and don't want to do it. Tonight is the maybe 6th time I have called. Someitmes it takes them well over an hour to get here and the machine is turned off. If this happened in their neighbor hood it would be different, but when yo live in a mobile home park you get treated differently. read more

If I can rate this a zero I would. I had to make a report of someone being verbally abusive and controlling towards me and the male officer who took my report was rude and had an attitude and he thought that my report was a joke and was funny which really wasn't. I even had a witness. No wonder why there is so much crime out there and people getting away with things that are not okay when they should be getting medical attention that they really need and traumatizing other people like myself who triggers them mentally and causing them to have PTSD and nightmares and make them feel unsafe in there own homes. read more

Hit by a cow at night on a dark road in a fencing zone, car totaled, bruised with a concussion, officer on location mentioned this is a common occurrence but backed up in his police report not wanting to mention the name of the rancher (who came to pickup the dead cow). Funny enough: the towing company mentioned the same type of accident, same road a couple of hours apart. No other choice than hiring a lawyer!! read more

I called them on 12/2/2023 after I fell from a ladder. They came and treated me like I was some hysterical old woman. The one EMT examined me, and just by feeling my ribs said"I can tell if ribs are broken and you are fine, just freaked out" Well, I went to the emergency room later, 2 fractured ribs and a punctured lung. I had to have a tube inserted in my chest the following day. The one with the beard if I'm calling anyone out. read more

Our alarm went off warning of glass breakage. I wasn't going inside!! Of course, as we all do, we called the police. They showed up swiftly! I was relieved, but then realized as they were going to enter our home and there could possibly be an armed robber inside!! HOW can I expect THEM to face off and maybe not go home to THEIR family?? I was scared for myself, now I was scared for THEM!! I actually didn't want them to go in and potentially risk their lives. But, three of them were braver than we were and they checked through our entire home to discover there wasn't anyone inside! WHEW!! They were safe!! Bless their souls for being so brave!! Police officers do not get enough credit!! We need to let them know they are appreciated! Buy them a donut LOL, give them a smile, thank them for protecting us and our community!! read more

i was involved in a hit and run accident where kids stole a car and hit me and ran away, the cops didn't do anything about trying to track them down, called to get incident/accident report so I could give to my lawyers and doctors and THE DESK CHEIF wanted to tell me that my lawyers are "stupid and don't know what their talking about" they refuse to help or do their jobs by any means necessary!!!!!! so here I am sitting here half paralyzed not able to go through with anything because of them, couple years back I got my windows knocked out and what did the police do about it? not a damn thing!!!! sat there and told me I was out of luck did no investigations, didnt help me at all!!!!! they just care about eating their donuts and watching the town suffer! I will be reporting this to my lawyers, news stations etc, it's time this stuff gets known and seen by everyone! yall treat us citizens like crap and do nothing to protect and serve!!!! just making that money!!! The boys in blue are still great in my eyes...always will be. However, I called the non emergency line as I was driving and following someone who had committed a hit and run. I was doing my best to keep up with the moron and still call (using speakerphone, of course). I explain that I am driving and following the guy and she is busy trying to triangulate the exact location of the crime. About 5 mins of driving and explaining, she finally comes back to me with, "thats not our jurisdiction. You'll have to call Glendale PD." Wow, I spent 5 mins on the phone with you while I'm doing my best to keep eyes on this guy as he zooms away and cut other people off--when he already hit a guy and fled the scene...but you're not gonna take my information although I'm offering a vehicle description and lic plate number. WOW. You're gonna tell me to call someone else, because its soooo easy to drive and make calls. You're not gonna take the info from me and call Glendale for me? Nice. I guess we'll just let the guy get away then, cuz he is very quickly leaving my field of vision. Oh well. 5 stars for the cops. 1 star for whoever answered the phone. Today Was a nightmare, I was on my way to work and when I got off the freeway and a few yard to get to my destination my car broke down, in the middle of the turning lane to enter in to arrowhead mallI, I didn't know what to do, Car wouldn't start , it was not even 5 minutes when a police car showed up, officer Padilla looked at my car, but it didn't worked, he said if I had somebody to help me or he could call a tow truck to help me move my car, I said yes I had called a friend and that I didn't have money to pay for a towing truck, He said to stay inside my car for my own safety and wait for help, he stayed in the police car until my help arrived , I am so grateful that we have officers like officer Padilla, Thank you so much for caring for my safety And for been such a wonderful caring officer.
