Their employee backed my car into another vehicle and now after almost 6 months let the claim go to collections... On February 21st a pep boys employee backed my car out of the bay and into another car. I called the police and got the claim started. The manager on duty at pep boys promised "they would take care of me and my car no matter what and were so sorry". After 6 weeks of calling pep boys corporate and trying to be nice about it, giving them a chance to fix it without my insurance doing the dirty work they stopped responding. I was moving in another 4 weeks so I started a claim on my side and let my insurance handle it. I paid my $500 deductible and got my car fixed. My insurance told me it would be awhile before I would hear back from them since it was a big company so I have just waited. Today July 29th I received the email that my claim will be going to collections and I will most likely not ever see my deductible again due to pep boys not responding and then putting the blame on the uninsured employee. So one, shame on you for not holding up your "promise" to take care of my car no matter what happened Two, shame on you for putting it on an employee when a big cooperation like that has insurance for instances just like this. Stay far far away from pep boys

Sometimes good customer service is not making money. Don't get me wrong, I've had my car serviced here before and it was great, but today's visit I was thinking about getting new tires for a long-distance trip. The man I spoke with was Roger; he quoted me, BUT, he also went out to check the depth of my tread just in case. Turns out I had plenty of life left in them and didn't need to get tires today! It's hard to find honest businesses and honest mechanics these days, but I can say Roger at Pep Boys stands among the few I would come back to for any job on my car! Much appreciated Roger :)

Each time I had to pay for transmission fluid out of pocket $275.00 second time he said warranty wouldn't pay all the labor so I had to pay $500 plus $275 for fluid! All because he said my maxima has spacers on rims. Total rip off because dealer ship quoted $6,000 for new transmission and I've spent that with this shop on used transmission. Total waste of money. Be careful because I think the transmission is not being replaced just fixed old bad transmission. Each time I took to Nissan dealership and it was in fact all three times another bad transmission each three times!!! Note: Joe said I had warranty but still car isn't working because he says the spacers on rims void warranty but those same spacers was on car when he first got the first transmission!! Also most screws are missing under hood that was not put back. Tacky work. God doesn't like ugly! AND For YELP TO NOT POST MY REVIEW FOR OTHERS TO BE SCAMMED IS VERY UN LAWFUL!

We came in here…read moreas a last resort when all of the RV service shops in the area seemed to turn us away (I think because they are packed due to memorial day weekend). We were able to work with James and he was extremely helpful in every way. He was able to get our Tow baseplate installed on our jeep in no time. I would highly recommend this shop for anything. Their customer service is outstanding and they did a speedy job for us. Not only did James do an excellent job with installing the baseplate and squaring us away with the electrical, but he came out to our motorhome and helped us connect up the tow bar. He then went back inside and looked up the proper towing procedures for our particular vehicle, came back out to tell us, and then helped us get everything setup right. Lastly, he followed us for about a mile to make sure that everything was working properly. He did all of this without being asked to do so. Curtis was our service manager, and I believe he had an appointment elsewhere when we arrived, but he took care of us and ensured that we were properly taken care of with the other gentlemen at the desk, prior to him departing for his appointment (I believe we may have cause him to be late, sorry, Curtis). I am amazed at the kind of culture of service that is bred into this shop. Every single person we interacted with was the embodiment of customer service. I must say our experience was beyond just customer service, it was more like "service for their fellow man". I very rarely write reviews for places, but I absolutely felt compelled to write this. Do not hesitate to take care of your automative needs at this place.

I was asked to take my vehicle unfinished as a courtesy because of the lateness of the day. A key fob was not working properly (it was not programmed properly at this shop). So, I know I got hosed, just will not recommend or go back.

Beware of a business post…read more I went to Jiffy Lube on Raeford Rd this morning to get my state inspection done so I can renew my registration. I sat and waited for them to do my inspection for a bit when the guy who was doing my inspection came in and told me that my car needed windshield wipers in order to pass inspection. I asked him why because they were working perfectly fine this morning and this past week when it was raining everyday. He just simply insisted my car needed wipers in order to pass and that the wipers were $39.99 A PIECE plus the $30 inspection. I said okay, well what's the cheapest ones you have and he said those are the only ones that fit your car, and then stated the price again. I initially said yes because I thought I needed it and wasn't sure what else to do. After he left I got on the phone with my dad, since my husband is out of town and in school right now, and explained the situation to him. He reminded me that he just replaced my windshield wipers himself not long ago and asked what they were saying was wrong with them. I told him they never really said they just insisted I needed them in order to pass. He told me to go stop them and have them show me what's wrong or explain it to me. So I did, I went and stopped the guy and asked what was wrong. He brought me over to the computer and pointed to the screen where it showed F by windshields wipers and said "look, I will fail the inspection without wipers". Again without really giving me a real answer and I was like "okay so what happens when I leave here and take this somewhere else and they pass my vehicle" he got a real attitude then and pulled me over to my car and held up my windshield wipers and proceeded to lift them up and drop them onto my windshield repeatedly pointing to a piece of rubber that was now hanging off. Both my windshield wipers then had rubber hanging off, torn up. I told him my car was not like that this morning or when I just pulled up because I knew it wasn't! I told him I wanted to leave and to pull my car out he said he would but that I would still have to pay for the failed inspection so I went back inside to wait. I got my dad on the phone again to explain what was going on and that I was leaving and he told me to call a manager in there because I shouldn't pay for the failed inspection when they are the ones who likely tore my wipers up. Once I called the manager in he didn't really say anything but I told him I wasn't paying and that I wanted to leave because I felt like they tore my wipers on purpose to try and scam me for new wipers. All he said was okay and immediately pulled my car out and I left. My wipers were no longer even able to function properly, when I left I turned on my wipers and they were scraping my windshield horribly and the rubber was all over the place. I went to O'reilly to get new wipers because I HAD to now, I only paid $25 because one of them was free from a sale. I went and paid only $12 for my inspection somewhere else! Also I went to this place because I thought I would be able to stay in my car because that's what their website says. I normally go to a Take5, but they don't do state inspections. When I got there they said I had to get out and wait inside making me drag my two kids out with me. I made a point to call several other Jiffy Lubes to confirm what was on their website and they all said I never should've had to get out. My total with Jiffy lube would've been $108 plus taxes. Instead I paid $37 total. I saved roughly $70 that they would have scammed me out of if I didn't catch on to the fact that something wasn't right. And I shouldn't have had to pay that $25 in the first place because there was nothing wrong with my wipers to begin with. I don't recommend going to this place, everyone should stay away or have your man with you when you go because this place tries to take advantage of women.

After dodging the water offer, upsell offers for wipers, air filter, cabin air filter, and the best and highest oil. I opted for the cheapest, which is now around $88 for my 2014 Toyota Avalon and full synthetic. I was given 25% off for being a veteran, so I did the math in my head, which was about $72 including 10% tax. Nope, the invoice was $92.66. The guys never mentioned the total price until they ask for your card to pay. I asked why the price was so high? The price was for 5 quarts of oil and my car took 6.5 quarts, so I was charged a whopping $19.49 for a quart and a half of oil extra. I proceeded to Sam's Club and bought 6 quarts for $31. I'm ordering my filters off Amazon, and I'll start changing my own oil and filter from now on. I thought they normally check and top off fluids, air pressure and lights, but none of that happened yesterday 5/15/26, Friday.
