I had just put brand-new wheels on my car at home, so I went to get an alignment and get my tires balanced. They could not do it the first day I went in because they did not have the right sockets, so I went home and came back the next morning. I dropped my car off in the morning and specifically asked them nicely to not scratch my wheels since they are all black and brand new then I left. They had called me to let me know they had finished working on my car. I picked my car up and when I got home I realized they had completely scratch the inside of the lug nut hole, I had called them back and told them about it and they asked me to come back to see what I meant, when I got there a lady came out to look at it and I commented that they should've taken better care of my wheels like I specifically asked since they were brand new not even a day old and that they did not even align my vehicle, the lady then started to become very rude, I had asked for their corporates number, the individual that had worked on my car and for her name. She refused to give me any information and told me that I can just leave the property. I spent about $225 for everything and only got my tires balanced. Had my truck towed here for starter replacement, customer service was great for the most part, but they then informed me to replace my starter it would cost me $550 plus tax for the starter, and after labor looking at $750-800 or more depending on "what they run into". Right off the bat i knew that sounded off, i went to look at starters online and at auto stores and confirmed that the starter for my truck would only be 130ish for a used one, and about 180 for a new one with a lifetime warranty. I get the whole markup they have to do, everyone's gotta make money but 300%?? Furthermore, replacing the starter is not a difficult task i just had it towed to pepboys cause it was at an inconvenient time and i didn't have the tools to do it myself. I ended up borrowing my buddies truck and trailer, he only charged me gas money, purchased the starter myself, and replaced it with the help of my buddy and his tools and we finished in under 20 minutes while we were goofing around. VERY easy fix. Out the door even after diagnostic fees, i only spent $275 as opposed to $800 or maybe more, and learned how to replace a starter. Maybe i'm just crazy but i don't recommend this establishment due to crazy high prices that are plainly just absurd. I encourage you to look into other repair shops prices first or if it's something easier try to do it yourself and you'll save exorbitant amounts of money doing so. No hate, at this point it's just laughable, no way they think they're making 600+ off of me for unscrewing two bolts and screwing them back in on the new starter. read more

customers service was great. service provided was poor. Was told 1 to 1 1/2 hrs wait, to change 4 tires. Took 2 hours and 15 minutes. After completion, all four low tire sensors were going off. Brought it up to the technician. He said he filled them up to 60PSI and just needed to be driven and sensors would reset. Got home 1 Tire PSI at 42, and the other three at 54PSI. also two of three valve stem covers were missing that I had purchased. drove 20 mins back. They filled my tires to 70 PSI, then I was told their air pressure gauge was broken A week or so ago. I checked before i left. Pretty sure a functional pressure sensor gauge is a very important thing to have for a tire shop. spent $1100 on tires, rather go somewhere else with good service and spend more money. read more

Appointment this morning 9:00 AM. 2 and 3/4 hours later my one tire that was flat is back on my car. Very slow service every time I've been. I'd give no stars if that was an option.2 flats in less tgat 2 weeks tire less tgat 2 years old. read more

While waiting on my oil to be changed (completed in a timely manner and reasonable price), I heard Chaya and Fred with another customer who was a bit out of sorts, he was upset over what he thought was the cost of his service... both Chaya and Fred patiently explained what the different items were and their cost... he was a bit confused over the total and got louder, Chaya explained calmly that the total they gave him was less than the price he was upset about... really think these two did a super job with tact and being respectful to their customer who wasn't displaying it in return. After the man left, they could have easily bad mouthed him, but neither did... they continued to do their paperwork and answer the phone. Well done!! I can't say enough good things about the team at Pep Boys in Pace, Florida! Chaya, the service manager, was absolutely amazing. Everytime I drop my car off I feel well taken care of, and as a women it's nice to have another female to talk to in a male driven industry. She always listens to my concerns, makes me feel heard, and ensured I had all the information I needed every step of the way. David, the alignment tech, did a phenomenal job, and Tyler, the wheel balancing tech, worked quickly and efficiently to get things just right. Will, the service tech, also went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled perfectly. The whole team was professional, friendly, and dedicated to delivering top-notch service. I came here because my check engine light came on after I got my oil changed and air filter replaced looking for them to just check out the air filter and maybe see if it had something to do with the throttle body because the error code I was getting often times has to do with the throttle body in the Chevy Cruze. They convinced me to have them do a more in depth diagnosis for $100 because they were convinced it could be some else. When they looked at my car they called me and said that my turbo is shot and leaking oil and I'd need to replace the entire thing. I went in to talk to them in person because that made no sense and when I talked to the mechanic who worked on my car he said nothing about oil leaking and just said the sound of the turbo sounded slightly different than normal and that's why he thinks something is wrong with it. Obviously nothing they said makes sense so I took my car back and just re-sat the air filter and tighten some screws and drove around and my check engine light went out. I will never take my car here again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else unless they want to basically donate money to people who are trying to scam you. read more

Went above and beyond on two different occasions, 1st time nobody would help me with my Jeep in town with mounting bead locks (17" on 38's).They were not familiar as I would expect with these special wheels and but went out of there way to help and did me beyond than they should have! 2nd time my Truck busted the valve stem on one tire and I brought only the flat tire, once again did me Great! Took my car in for an alignment and purchased the lifetime alignment on 11-17-22. I specified that I wanted an alignment sheet back when I pick up the car. When I came to pick the car up, I looked over the sheet and everything was within spec except for the rear camber. They didn't say anything prior about the alignment except when I asked them about it. I didn't have time to go over it with him as I was needing to go. On 5-22-23, I brought the car back in for them to look at the alignment again and they said I need a caster/camber kit to fix the front. I got them to install it and finish the alignment. When I went to go pick up the alignment sheet for this trip, the rear camber was out still. The assistance store manager who transferred in from pensacola said that they "don't have alignment specs for the rear camber and they couldn't fix it as I would need to go to the dealership. I found rear adjustable camber bushings at O'Reilly auto parts and they said they couldn't install them. I searched on the internet and found the alignment specs for the front and back. I found them on 2 different websites. He was still adamant about not installing the bushings and aligning the car to the specs I provided. How in the world do you not have the specs to the car when the customer can find them online, and they were the exact same tolerances as their spec sheet. If you look at the alignment sheet in the picture i posted, you will notice on either side of the larger number is the acceptable range that it needs to be in. How can you say you dont have the numbers when it is CLEARLY printed on paper?!? On 8-11-23 I took the car up there to have the AC fixed and they dyed the system. They called me to say it was my evaporator and they couldn't fix it. They said they found dye in the condensation line. I brought the car back home and checked it myself with a black light, and no green dye was found. I don't know if they just don't want to work on my car or they are just that inept. I have been using this location for almost two years for routine maintenance on three vehicles and have only had good experiences. They always deliver the service they promise, when they promised it, and for the price quoted. The manager, Fred, is very personable and all the other employees have been very polite. You can expect they will suggest some additional services, but they do not become pushy or exaggerate the need for the work. My tire pressure light came on so took it in to get checked... the guy on the phone was rude. They had my car for 3 hours then told me there was nothing wrong with tires but needed a new battery... never had any trouble with battery before...took car to my dealership next day... they tested it and nothing wrong with it....i think they just want to try and fuck me over because I'm a woman...would not recommend or go back !!! read more
