Horrible customer service. I was told right off the bat my car wouldn't be fixed till closer to closing time like 6pm. I said thats fine. Then he goes on saying if I made my appointment same day , system would not update. Then says as you can see I'm swamped . So the employee cancels my appointment as I'm standing there . I see my app my appt. Has been cancelled. Ok fine. I told him it's only a belt. Meanwhile, I'm thinking he's going to reschedule me for next available date because he continues to click on his computer and says oh well the guy that does belts isn't there. He'll be In tomorrow, and walks away. Comes back. starts answering the phone . Shuffles through some papers , calls over a customer who's been waiting and says he wouldn't be able to work on his vehicle because he doesn't have the parts till tomorrow. The shop only two vehicles plus the one that's is driving away. I waited 30 min for this man to atleast schedule me but instead he walked away and did not see him come back till after I walked out . I waited another 5 min while I called Firestone to schedule with them. When I see him come back to the front desk almost as if was waiting for me to leave. If you can help or don't like your job why be there?!?! I would normally get my sons car serviced there for maintenance , batteries and tires but never again! read more

At 3am my car decided to break down, it so happened that I was less than a quarter mile from this PepBoys location. I'm glade I was and that they offer early and late drop off. Brian got my car in the service bay as soon as the shop opened, and by 9am I had a repair estimate in my hand. Brian and team I feel went the extra mile for me, were honest with the diagnostics, and fair with the repair estimate. I cannot recommend more or praise higher this PepBoys location. read more

Don't ever come here. I got pressured into their oil change vouchers when I bought my car. The vouchers were lost and they do nothing to help me each time. I paid through the arse for these oil changes that are supposed to be synthetic although they never do synthetic on my car. Today he refused to cal as I don't have my voucher book since my accident. I should know not to buy parts or service at Pep Boys, but I guess I've finally learned my lesson. My battery is almost dead after buying a PREMIUM Bosch from them 17 months ago from the Scottsdale Road location. I went to this location after the store I bought it from said that they don't carry Bosch any more. I came back about 45 minutes before closing time to cut my losses and buy a brand new Champion battery. The indifferent clerk said that she didn't know that the tech might be working on tires and wouldn't be able to install it today. I will gladly buy my battery from another establishment now and will remember to buy the cheapest unit available because the warranty is useless. read more

This place mother fucking sucks. I pay them almost 400 dollars to replace my power steering pump. They wouldn't put on one of my power steering lines unless I paid an extra 120 dollars to put my power steering line on. Now I have to take the power steering pump off and back cuz the scandalous mother fuckers won't do a good job on shit. Then when I pick up my truck it dies out because my positive battery post was loose as fuck. Do not come here for shot unless you wanna break one of their windows out front. This was my first experience with Pep Boys and I was taken there after a recommendation by Verizon who I got my tow truck from after I'd been in an accident. They gave me the option of doing the repair that needed to be done but they recommended, no hard sell, a choice. So for two flat tires and two damaged wheels, I bought four new tires and two new wheels, the basics. Then they showed me my brakes, I knew they needed to be done. So they did the wheels and tires and brakes and the alignment and drive since the repair is awesome. I had the monies needed but they also offered me their card which I decided to take to help offset the cost. I'd recommend them and will go back. read more

I had a nail in my tire & the closest place to take it was Pep Boys.... I had just missed it! My tire was Flat! They closed at 6pm & I arrived at 6:04. They couldn't help me. So I was stranded there until my Ins. found someone to help me to change my tire. I am now at Discount Tire & they said they would not have turned me away. Being a woman, I felt at ease about that. This is where I get my tires anyway! They are GREAT! What a terrible NYE night. All it took was 10 min. for the dude at PB 's to help me on his own perhaps. Worst customer service ever !!! Susan is rude and has a constant attitude!! I thought my husband was just in patient the first time but when I called a couple days later she was twice as rude on the phone as she was in person. !!! Laughed when I asked her managers name . She said she didn't have a crystal ball when I asked if they would be able to fix the radiator with the alignment. I would have no problem paying for the inspection. When I asked if they would be able to fix the probleM after the inspection she got even ruder and said like I said it depends on what's wrong we don't have every part just sitting around waiting for you to bring your broke vehicle !! I purchased a maintenance plan for over $500 when I purchased my vehicle. I made an appointment to use my oil change voucher from the plan. The lady, Sana, says they don't accept those on Sunday's. So I make an appointment for Monday, no big deal. When I come in, she says they're backed up so it might be a while. I understand, I'll wait. I wait for an hour and a half just for her to say she couldn't do the oil change because she couldn't get the bolt off and to take it wherever I got the oil change last. I was about to just take my business back to Firestone, but I gave a different pep boys location another try first, since I already paid for the expensive maintenance plan. The other location said the bolt was fine and they could do the oil change. She honestly seemed inconvenienced with every customer interaction. Terrible customer service. = on September 7th 2022 I took my car my 2001 Nissan Frontier in to Pep Boys do to a fact that I'm the break was getting hard to push down they give the Diagnostics and they told me that the issue was the master cylinder do you need a new battery so they charged me for both on September 9th I went and I picked up the truck they said that I had fixed everything on it 1,160.00 on the same date that evening the truck All In Motion I was driving down the street stalled on me and turned off. I had it towed to my house for which I paid $80 and then Pep Boys let them know of the situation so then I took it back on same date 09/09/20 they performed diagnostics and stated it was the alternator that was killing the battery,attempted to sell me an alternator for $560.00,I told them I would purchase one myself ,they had me make an appointment for Tuesday at 8am,,, I purchased alternator $211.76 O'Reilly's,on 09/13/22 I dropped off my truck . THEY COMPLETED THE WORK. PICKED UP TRUCK ON 09/14/22 ,THEN THAT SAME NIGHT MIDNIGHT THE TRUCK WHILE DRIVING COMPLETELY TURNED OFF STALLED,I PHONED CSR THEY HAD IT TOWED TO FACILITY 27AVE VAN BUREN. I SPOKE TO THEM THE FOLLOWING DAY They told me it was a faulty battery that that happens sometimes and for me to come and pick up the truck picked up a 09-15-22 , paid. $224.47 that same evening the truck stalled on me while I was driving the battery was drained. this is after having replace alternator paid for the master cylinder this is the second brand new battery that they put in according to them I had to call and get it towed back to the shop at Pep Boys. I called CSR and the claim # 834789. MANAGER STATED THEY WERE GONNA HAVE IT TOWED TO SHOP IN GOODYEAR TO FOR ELECTRICAL SPECIALIST TO SEE IT THEY NEVER TOLD ME THAT THE SPECIALIST WASNT GONNA SEE IT TILL TUESDAY 09/20/22. today is September 9th of 2022 phone call from them a car rental since I have been without a car since the 7th of September return my call. Don't get me wrong, this place has really nice people but they will say they'll help you out and bring your car into one of the Bays and then charge you labor without even telling you before hand. Go to O'Reillys and they will replace your battery and head light and check your car for free. No labor cost. If I knew labor would be charged I would have gone somewhere else. read more

Found this place by doing a Yelp search near my work. Saw that they had really positive reviews and set up an appt during lunchtime the following day to have a conventional oil change. Pep Boys told me I had to replace the front struts and rear shocks or else I would have to replace all four tires within 1K miles. They told me the tires were wearing incorrectly. I said not today and went to get a second opinion... Imagine my surprise when I talked to the Back to Basic Automotive guy (Phoenix) after looking at my car (for free) and he said there was no problem - get it balanced - and that the tires looked brand new (have 30K + miles on them). No shocks, no struts, no upsell, no charge. Fantastic! Highly recommend since it is impossible to find a reliable mechanic. SHAME ON YOU, PEP BOYS! read more

Ive been using various Pep Boys locations here in the Valley for about 8 years or so, and must say that even though it is a national chain, the employees definitely make it feel more personal. This particular location is pretty slow, so just come with that in mind (maybe bring a ride with you so you don't have to wait around). They recently have started taking appointments, so I would recommend you do that to save some time. I've had positive experiences at other Pep Boys locations in the past, but this one is super-shady. They've charged / attempted to charge me for a host of crazy things including, labor for battery replacement (I bought it over the counter & installed it myself), coolant for a radiator repair due to their defective previous repair, alignment that wasn't needed or diagnosed, etc. Additionally, 2 out of 3 repairs I've had there have resulted in me making multiple return trips so they can either fix what they broke in the process or finish reassembling some part of the car they took apart. Pretty sure the guys at this location are operating off the mainstream Pep Boys grid. read more

This is one of the slowest places ever. Called before I came at 10:45 am to see if they had time to pressure check ac system to diagnose leak. Was told no problem 10 min wait then about 30 min on test. Arrived at 11:15 am was told car would be pulled in in 10 min. Asked at noon what was happening as car was sitting. Oops we had you down at noon we'll get it in now. At 12:45 they still have not finished. 4 workers standing around store doing nothing and 2 mechanics. Clearly they have no direction and no sense of running a business. Don't waste your time coming here no matter what they say. read more
