Specialties
Peppermaster creates fresh‑pepper hot sauces and condiments made from whole ingredients only. Founded in Québec by the maker of the first hot sauce ever produced in Canada, we work with rare, heirloom, and ethically sourced peppers to craft sauces that highlight true pepper flavour. We also offer private‑label manufacturing, co‑packing, and recipe development. With more than 30 brands manufactured under our roof, Greg remains Canada’s original hot sauce pioneer and a master of the craft.
History
Established in 2004.
Peppermaster’s story begins in 1971, when Greg Brooks created the first hot sauce ever made in Canada, launching a craft tradition long before the industry existed. What started as his personal passion for fresh peppers grew into a lifelong pursuit of flavour, heat, and craftsmanship. After settling in Québec, Greg continued developing his fresh‑pepper techniques, helping shape the region’s pepper culture and inspiring a new generation of Canadian sauce makers.
Over the years, that passion evolved into a full specialty food manufacturing company, formally incorporated in 2004, producing award‑winning sauces for retail, wholesale, and export. From our licensed brownstone kitchen in Québec, Peppermaster continues to innovate with whole‑ingredient, small‑batch production that honours Greg’s original vision and sets the standard for Canadian hot sauce.
Meet the Business Owner: Greg B.
Peppermaster is led by Greg and Tina Brooks, partners in life and in craft. Greg began making hot sauce in 1971 and was already a recognized name in the pepper world by the time they met. After settling in Québec, the two combined their skills, passion, and experience to build what Peppermaster is today. When their home burned down in 2004, they incorporated the business and rebuilt together, turning a crisis into the foundation of a full specialty food manufacturing company. Working side‑by‑side in their licensed brownstone kitchen, Greg and Tina champion real food, ethical sourcing, and small‑batch craftsmanship, ensuring Peppermaster continues to set the standard for Canadian hot sauce.
