I ordered 2 items online. I paid full price(no current sale ) When I received the package, I noticed it WREAKED of bad perfume. I had to pay $24 for the return which is Peppermint Palm's policy. I emailed Tracy explaining it wasn't so much the $24 but the PIA for the process of then having to order from a different store. Guess what- NO RESPONSE!! I have had better luck with signature stores like SPLASH OF PINK, Cloister Collection or just a corporate store. read more

We've purchased Easter dresses from PP for the past 8 or so years. Never had a problem. This year, we picked a dress that really wasn't a good selection for Easter. We were shocked to find out that as of April 1st, the store no longer does returns or exchanges. This is despite them still having the old return policy sign up. And of course, there was "nothing they could do." Definitely missing the old owner. We've spent our last dollar here. read more

We shop at peppermint palm on a regular basis and love Lilly Pulitzer clothing. Every time I visit this location, my mom and I remark how unkind and snooty the owner and young employees are. We came by to purchase a dress for oaks and we walk in (we are the only ones in the store), the employee didn't even greet or welcome us when we walked in. It was kind of awkward because it was silent. We then remarked at the cutest derby purse and when we saw the price it we were shocked to see it was over $450 for a one day event. The employee remarks in a very stuck up snooty tone "well we have sold three". In a way like if we can't afford it then why even say it. I finally feel after visiting this store so much, it was time to finally leave a honest review. The owner and employees have never given us a good experience in last couple years in Louisville. I will stick with buying LP online at this point. read more

The dressing rooms are just so very adorable. I wish I could have the same painter come to my house. It's been almost a year since my last visit to this store. My gift cards were dated 8/18. Walked in and several ladies were at the register talking and checking out - seemed happy and a great scene to enter. They left and so did all that charm! That should have been my clue to just leave but I had $300 in gc I wanted to use. I did end up using $210 of the $300. The kicker for me and what will keep me from returning is the GWP. I was only given the pencil case instead of the pencil case and the lunchbox. She said my sale items were not included - BUT yet I still spent $200. Are you flipping kidding me over a lunchbox that she doesn't even have to pay for. I had my daughter with me and we hadn't had lunch so I was not thinking correctly. If I had I honestly wouldn't have even made the purchases. I would have used my gc online and gotten both GWP. read more

After spending over $1300 for Christmas on a someone special. The purchase was made 3 days before Christmas. I didn't know exactly what she would like. I made purchases for her at Christmas last year and she liked the one thing I had gotten her. Out of the 1300 in sales at Peppermint, we still spent $400 on other items she liked. Keep in mind, they have a rather strict 7 day return policy. So, don't buy gifts in advance. They are only good for store credit beyond 7 days. Store credit was a fact they made VERY clear many times to the person receiving the gifts. During the sale they asked me to simply keep the receipt for any returns she may have. In the end, they required MY credit card for the return. So, should you buy something as a gift, and this person needs to return the gift, your friend may need to borrow your original credit card to return the item.. I promise, nothing will be returned to them again. I will be posting where the extra items will be purchased. And, I will post their holiday return schedule and their standard return schedule. Please, try to buy local, from stores that make it easy for returns. read more

I don't know how my Lilly Pulitzer addiction started, but I have a problem and it can only be solved by buying more! My bridesmaids all wore it and the bright cheerful colors just make me happy. That being said, I haven't shopped at the Peppermint Palm nearly enough. After my recent experience, I will be there more to feed my Lilly love! The store is a Lilly signature store and it is only Lilly Pulitzer apparel and accessories. It is GORGEOUS. The bright pink and palm trees are everywhere. The fitting rooms are especially tropical/delightful. Lilly Pulitzer only has two big sales per year and I went to the January sale hopeful that I would score some beautiful clothes for a discount. I had seen their social media posts that morning with people lined up around the corner so I was a little worried that I might have missed the good deals. I was pleasantly surprised to find a ton of merchandise that was 40-60% off! The sales staff was so friendly and they were helping several of us with fitting rooms and sizes while I was there. I ended up leaving with a dress, a sweater, a top and a planner (they are the best planners)! It's such a pretty shop and the staff is so kind and helpful, I will not wait long before my next fix! read more

It is unbelievable how snobby the team at Peppermint Palm acts and how poorly they treat their customers. Today I was in there and attempted to ask a question about something I had seen online, but was quickly cut off when the employee realized I was asking about a sale item and then she turned and started talking to someone else. Last summer I spent over $300 in one visit, but they didn't give me their advertised gift with purchase. When I called they said it was my fault for not reminding them. I could not possibly recommend this store less and will be contacting corporate Lilly Pulitzer about this location. read more

The Peppermint Palm is a sorority girl's dream all in one... When I came to visit the store, I noticed that the only brand they sell is Lilly Pulitzer. The fitting rooms were decorate Lilly, the front of the door was Lilly, why not just be a Lilly store? With the closest actual Lilly Pulitzer store being in Cinncinnati, the Peppermint Palm makes a great alternative. Especially because here and Von Maur are the only two places (that I know of) where you can find this brand in Louisville. That being said, it makes a great stop around Derby time! The clothing is pretty expensive, ranging from around $50-$300 on average, but it is an excellent quality. They also have a large kids and sale section. Me being mesmerized by the beautiful prints, I couldn't leave here empty-handed. With the new planners just coming out last month, it's like it was meant to be! This is really a place I would go to for special occasions since I don't normally spend large amounts of money on clothing, but it is a cute little boutique that you should check out. read more

We loved this store until my mother was treated terribly by one of their employees. The employee insulted my mother while trying on clothes; she told my mother that their clothes were really made for smaller women and that a women of "her size" shouldn't be shopping there. We will never be returning. It's so sad that customer service brings down a nice store. read more

I called and asked if a dress was available and they said they had it in the size I was looking for. I asked if I could have it shipped to me and then the lady on the phone went silent. I live in about 35 minutes away, so I said I could try and come in if that was easier. She said that would be easier for her and she grabbed the dress and took my name. She said she put in on hold until the end of next day. I honestly didn't want to come into the store, since it would be a toll bridge to get there and it would be rush hour. I wasn't sure if I could make it in time since they closed in less than an hour, too. I definitely didn't want to wait until the next day, because I had a family event taking place. So, I get there just in time and the lady said that they sold the dress to someone already. She offered me a smaller size and said it might work. I was really upset, because it wasn't easy to get there. I asked to buy it over the phone and she was reluctant, and so I tried to make it easier on her by coming into the store. Obviously, that is not how customer service is supposed to work. I have shopped at this store numerous times, and have been a customer since I was a teenager. In the many years I have shopped here, I have rarely had a good experience. They didn't call me which is so incredibly rude and unprofessional! They could have easily called me and told me they sold it someone else, instead of having me drive there to explain the situation. I can't believe what a waste of time and money this was. I have learned my lesson and will take my business elsewhere. read more

As a loyal fan of Lilly Pulitzer designs, I've been to the Peppermint Palm many times and I ALWAYS enjoy my visits. Jane and Ashley, two of the ladies who are employed there, are always so kind and welcoming. They're always ready to help, either by preparing a dressing room, showing me new items that have just arrived, or suggesting outfits that go well together. I highly recommend stopping by their boutique, it's such a fun, beautifully designed space and in a great location. So disappointed! I placed an order online and then a minute later realized I had forgotten to remove bikini bottoms from my bag. I called right away and the lady on the phone said that it is supposed to be final sale but they aren't even open yet, not till 2pm and she has just started processing online orders and she will email me. I usually don't write negative reviews, but I received horrible service from this location. The other day a friend and I went to the Peppermint Palm to try to find derby/oaks dresses. I found a dress I liked but it wasn't in my size. I asked a sales associate if they had the dress in my size and she came back with the dress. Everything sounds great, right? Go to buy the dress and the girl at the register tells me the dress is on hold and I can't buy it. Why in the world would you give me a dress to try on that I can't buy? An older lady which I'm assuming was the manager came over and proceeded to tell me in a less than sympathetic tone that the dress was on hold for a girl that worked there and "It wouldn't be nice to take a dress that's on hold." I completely understand that, but then why did you give it to me to try on? They told me that they would call me if the girl didn't end up wanting the dress and that they would call their lexington location to see if they had it. Never received a call and when I called the lexington store they said that they never received a call either. Regardless of all of this, I would have been fine with not getting the dress if the sales associates would have been a little bit nicer. If you give me a dress to try on that I can't buy don't tell me that I'm the rude one for trying to purchase it. read more

I absolutely love this store! And you will too if you're into Lilly Pulitzer. They have everything from her playing cards to shoes to her famous dresses; which are perfect to wear to Churchill Downs for a race or two! Although Lilly is expensive, this store does try and help you out by offering an ample 30-50% off sale rack and emails their customers about sales. Since I'm from out of town where there is not a Lilly store in sight, I appreciate their online store as well. I snagged two dresses and a scarf for the price of one dress because my purchases were on sale-not bad when it comes to Lilly! This review is for services rendered over the phone as I am an out of towner. First, let me say that it seems like this Lilly signature store is always one of the first to mark down their stock. Love that! The girls that answer the phone are also always courteous and friendly- another love! Why the 3 stars, then? Well, a couple of things. On the Peppermint Palm website, it says that shipping is always free. However, when I called to place an order, I was told that the new policy is that shipping is $10 unless you have a full price purchase over $100. Since I was buying all sale items, I had to pay the shipping fee. I didn't really think that was cool because I was still spending a sizable amount of money- one star deducted for that. The second star deduction is because for some reason, GWPs (gifts with purchase) are excluded from sale item purchases. This is another super silly policy to me! A sale is a sale, so why does it matter if the item is marked down? Anyway, I love the sales at this signature store but I probably won't order from them again unless it's something I have to have and can't find elsewhere. read more
