The giant jawbreakers, the size of my hand, always get a good chuckle out of me and I always need to grab some gummy sharks because they have giant ones that are so good to nibble on over a little bit of time. Prices for the grab and fill bag candy are by weight and everything else on the walls or pre-boxed are priced out already. The place is always great, super clean and I love the way it has that candy store smell to it that makes me buy something every time that I am here!

They have a huge amount of space inside their store & they utilize every inch. I like how their sections are relatively organized by category, although it can get a bit overwhelming with just how much they have. Everywhere you look there's display cases loaded with figures & bookshelves filled out. They have the best selection of comic books in south Florida, by far. When it comes to quantity & variety they have a great offering. Horror, superheroes, sci-fi, anime; they have some of everything. They keep a nice stock in their weekly release section & carry a lot of sought-after series. While they don't carry every cover variant, they do a good job at having at least a couple for most issues. The workers are usually pretty friendly. They offer help looking for items in their massive store & will point you in the right direction if you have any questions. I've never once had a bad experience in all the years I've been visiting. As good as they are, I have 2 complaints. First off, they're sometimes a bit overpriced. Whether it be an action figure or certain comic, there's been times where I've found them pricing things $2-$15 over market value. While get it's a business, I hate finding something here only to realize I can get it online cheaper. I'm ALWAYS for supporting local businesses but unfortunately it dissuades that. Lastly, sometimes I'll look for a series to start & they'll only have issues #2 & on. While it's not that big of a problem, I always grab issue #1 before any others so this'll cause me to skip out. Usually, however, this doesn't happen often. Overall, Tate's is the place for all your comic & collectible needs. There's not much more to ask for considering their good service, up-to-date selections & large variety. Also, be sure to check out their art gallery upstairs. They carry tons of stickers, prints, originals & crafts from local artists!

The place isn't cramped and musty like other shops can be sometimes. Clean floor clean bathroom and tons of art for sale by some famous artists like Andy Warhol and Banksy. The owners are the sweetest people I've come across in South Florida, with a story for every big ticket item. Plus the quality of the items here are unmatched. From rare fossils to enhydros, this place is heaven on earth for collectors! The back portion of the shop (my favorite) is made up of tall wooden bookcases, filled with an incredible selection of raw crystal chunks/slabs in antique boxes for you to pick through. I could easily spend hours back there. The front of the shop is filled with polished spheres, points, and an impressive fossil selection. What an absolute hidden gem of a small business! The store name is Five Below meaning everything in the store typically cost $5 or less. Not so much anymore. pricing has gone up a little bit and I believe the highest priced item is now $5.55. Most of the dollar items are no longer just $1 but more like $1.25. Which is fine because it's still affordable. There are many locations nationwide. Five below is perfect for stocking stuffers and small gifts. We love coming here and getting gifts for the kids during Christmas.
