Ordered Peppers To Go tonight and it was either disgusting or just ok. I normally don't leave reviews but the roast beef gravy fries were inedible. They were cold and tasted funny. The establishment is split into three main parts: an arcade, a dining room and a bar. Go here if you want to try some beers that you won't find in one spot anywhere else in the local area. Not that all the beers are good, but you can try them. The pizzas not that great(in my opinion) - specifically, the crust is dry (reminiscent of cardboard) and lacks flavor. Toppings are generally generous, but it doesn't make up for the crust's shortcomings. The waitstaff is friendly, but in the bar, you have to go to the bar to get help. The arcade is on the end of the restaurant, opposite the bar/beer wall. Bottled beers are reasonably priced, beer wall beers are expensive (priced per the ounce), and the food is expensive for what you get. Cheers! read more

First of all, the food was fabulous, I give the food 5 stars! The service was less than fabulous. We ordered appetizers and beer, the beer was not cold and when I spoke to the waitress, Kylie, she said that all the beer is kept in the same cooler...??? Not sure what that meant. A table arrived next to us about 10-15 minutes later. She was dealing with another table and getting their payments. She then went to the other table that had just sat and took their drink orders. Such a fun spot to eat. Discovered the honey baked boneless wings and they are delicious. Recently dined in the Pour House while watching basketball. You do have to order at the counter, but the staff was still very helpful when bringing out the food. Highly recommend for a group of people, family outings, or even a date night. read more

My boo is a Thibodeaux boy so Peppers is his gold standard in pizza. Luckily, it's pretty fantastic pizza so I don't mind going every time we are in town. This time, though, we decided to venture out to Houma and go to the Pour House location because we've been dying to check it out. We weren't disappointed. When we arrived, the waiter walked us through the self pouring beer. We provided a credit card and our ID, then he provided us with a "prepaid" beer card good for up to 64 ounces. Most of this is craft beer, so 64 ounces is a good bit. After you use that, you can refill as necessary. They have several sizes and types of glassware, from tasters to snifters to 10oz goblets to pints. If you aren't familiar with the beer, might I suggest starting with a taster? That way you aren't wasting your ounces. Every time you fill you beer you put your card up to the screen above the beer and the machine measures when you start and stop pouring to calculate your ounces. ITS SO MUCH FUN! We came on Christmas Eve and they had a great selection of both local craft beers and domestics (in case you don't like the flavorful stuff ;)) Of course you get to eat delicious Peppers pizza while you are drinking so the experience is top notch. We had delicious food and a great waitress. However, the kitchen simply needs to get their act together. My family of four waited over an hour for our food, and none of the items were overly complicated. I understand many places are understaffed right now, but this wait time is absolutely absurd. Even during COVID we got our food within 20 minutes. A manager went to the table next to us saying how "they're not a fast food restaurant" but I think that any rational person would want to eat and leave within an hour. Took my wife out for a pizza and beer just for an evening out. 5 tables in the entire place were occupied. Ordered two XX beers which came to the table just barely below room temp. Ordered two pizza's (10"-12"6 I addressed the warm beer with my server, whom said she would speak with the manager on duty. Then quickly disappeared. My wife and I continued our discussions of the day. One hour waiting, ( not an exaggeration) our server reappears to tell us it would be 2 minutes on our food. So we asked could we get other drinks beings she never replaced the warm beer. When she returned with the drinks 15 minutes later.. she cheerily said she had a bit of bad news. The kitchen had mistakenly looked at the wrong ticket and ours pizza's had never been made.... No offer of going ahead and make them, not really anything but ‍. As we were leaving out the door the manager on duty came to the door and explained the mishap, and stated twice that this "was totally on them" sure wasn't on me. And that she would void the ticket of the two warm beers.....???? Wasn't expecting to pay for them anyways. No coupon offer , no offer to return another night on them , no offer of compensation of any sort for a night wasted and going home empty handed.. Came home and ate PB&J for our night out... I went back recently. I've been a few times. I really can't compliment the twisty bread enough for it's ability to quinch whatever craving it is you get with a cold drink.The salad AGAIN is a great thing. (Still loving it!) And now the bad news.... :( I have to go with Phi's assessment of the calzone. The bread was too soggy; There was a bit of it. More important was that flavorful meat not being the filling I tasted. The management at this establishment is horrible. having to wait for over 2 hours to get a pizza is absurd. I'm horrified by the quality of the pizza as well, low quality cheese that smelled absolutely horrible, trust me I know the smell of Parmesan and this was nowhere near that, this was straight out of a week old gym bag. The stench was so foul I heard the family at the table mention something about. When I talked to management they said that they couldn't deal with this and They'd have to talk with the owner. He said the owner said he'd call the police if I didn't pay, which I never even implied. They kept referring to the owner as mr. Was so excited that peppers was back open after renovations but this is not the same peppers we had before. The food is delicious but service is so greatly lacking and subpar that nothing would make me come back. The short, the place is good looking and the food taste ok. Would I come back? Sure. Do I wish they had more seasoning on the food? Yes. Did I enjoy the chicken parmigian? Not so much. I was surprised that they made the chicken parm with deep fried chicken fingers! I was expecting the triditional flat lightly bredded pan fried then baked, chicken breast. Instead I received three chicken fingers covered in sauce and hidden with cheese. I also suspect we received the half portion even though we order the full portion. The dish also needed more italian seasoning as it was on the bland side. A real dissapointment. I also wish they would serve cannolis instead of beignets. Okay, so I'm a somewhat regular, dining in about 6-8 times a year, take out about the same amount and then a birthday or two in the back. Just went there this past Saturday, 7/29/2017 at about 4:00 in the afternoon but a bit of context beforehand: We had two grandkids, 9 and 4, and they wanted to play games. There are four choices in Houma that I'm aware of: Sicily's, Pinocchio's, Chuck E Cheese, and Peppers. So, Pinocchio's is dreary and wasn't a great place the last time we went - admittedly a long time ago. Sicily's has a salad bar, lots of variety and a few games, but the game room is not in good working order much of the time. Chuck E Cheese? Well where do I begin? Over priced, loud, perfunctory service, you have to eat with plastic forks and the salad bar is limited. Food sucks and the last time I went with my grandson, I asked for lemon for my tea and was told, "we don't do that any more." Seriously, I'm not kidding. So, the food is good at Pepper's the game room was always good although not the scale of CEC, it has plenty for the kids, the service was good and there was tons of room to sit. Right? Well not any longer. It has been a while since we ate in the game room because it is a completely different - and completely unacceptable - experience. Which is sad because we just had dinner there in the main room about a week ago, a party of 12, and I had my usual Southwest Taco pizza. Like I said, the food is great here. So anyway, we walk in at a slow time to allow the kids to have a couple hours fun. We walked up to place our order and first thing we found out was they rearranged the place and the tables were all gone. In their place were 3 bar tables. The kind where 3 people can perch on a stool with a drink. Fine for a bar. But no tables other than these. And really, when you have a 4 year old you really want to have to keep picking her up and helping here down 60 times during your visit, because she wants to eat, play, eat, play, eat,... And don't you self-righteous trolls tell me she should have to choose because either you don't have kids, or you seriously need to get a clue. :-D So we asked the (very nice and sweet) cashier and she explained that we could either sit in the main room and be waited on (and not see the kids playing), or we could order take out pizzas or whatever at her station and eat at those little tables. But they didn't provide service and not even plates. We'd eat out of the boxes. My beloved wanted a salad and that was fine; it would be in a go container with a plastic fork. You know, just like the LOUSY experience Chuck E Cheese provides but even worse because at least they have actual tables where adults can sit comfortably and watch kids. Oh, and all the beverages are bottled. You can't get a fountain drink from this end of the place. I don't know why because it isnt' the black hole of Calcutta. It's only a short walk to the fountain machine, but no, you can't get a fountain drink and therefore no refills either. So I asked if they had tea, and yes, but it isn't brewed. THAT is from a fountain dispenser but no refills. Are you kidding me?! Tea is the absolute cheapest drink in the business other than water. So we ordered our pizzas and ate our salads with plastic forks - which I hate, I really do - and got our drinks in bottles and asked the cashier if we could have some cups with ice. Yes, we could Well, it turns out that now in Houma you can choose good food and eat at Pepper's or a good experience for kids (and crummy food) and eat at Chuck E Cheese. If you were taking your grandkids out expressly for their entertainment which would you choose? Let's face it; we bring kids to these places to have fun for a while, and we may or may not want to schlep along to every game with them. Sometimes we just want to let them unwind while we do the same. We can sit and relax and watch them knowing they're safe because we can see them. Not at Pepper's any longer. Too bad but seriously, I don't think they considered their customers when they made these changes and I know I"m being militant, but I won't be considering them any longer. read more

The place has all right pizza and a nice little game room for the kids. Dinner service is slow even if they are not busy. Not a good place to eat if you have plans for after dinner. Once we showed up over an hour before the movie start time and we had to take the pizza to go and eat it in the car on the way to the movie theater. I remember a few years ago having the gravy fries and they were great but today's roast beef Po boy was the most bland Po boy think I've ever had. Absolutely not worth it. This is the place for pizza when in Houma; they do a really good pie! We went with the Kitchen Sink pizza which was really good. Sometimes pizza with so many toppings tends to get soggy but no problem with sogginess on this one. And the pizza was huge! The 16" was more than enough for the five of us; even had some to take home. Went at lunchtime so restaurant was terribly busy and pizza came out fairly quickly. Peppers also has an attached bar (Piazza Bar) for the nighttime crowd plus a fairly large game room (think Chuck E. Cheese or Gattiland for those in Texas) which thankfully is separated from the regular restaurant. All in all, very good pizza, good service and very happy with our whole experience. Thibodaux location is better. Had the jambalaya pizza and peppers supreme here and it just doesn't taste as good or fresh as the ones in Thibodaux. Also tried the calzones and wings here and was disappointed. Wings was lacking in flavor and the calzones were just disappointing. I hate eating calzones that are not completely filled with toppings from side to side. When a couple of inches on each side of the calzone are nothing but bread then you know it wasn't prepared correctly. I pretty much only ate the middle where all the toppings were. LOVE LOVE LOVE eating at Peppers! We have been here many times, but I just hadn't ever written a review. We always get the jalapeño cheese bread as an app & the Supreme Pizza. We replace the Italian sausage with regular bacon & add fresh tomatoes. I did get a caprese antipasto salad to-go. I was disappointed with the size of the salad for the price, so I know better next time. Otherwise, we are never disappointed. Well, only once, read on for that. Their mango tea is so good!! They have a great selection of salads, pasta & calzones as well. If I could change one thing, it would be to use more mozzarella & less provolone in their house cheese. We did eat at the location in Thibodaux last year & it was a hot mess. Repeatedly messing up our order. But the manager more than made up for it with a free pizza AND cards for more free food. Peppers has always been a family favorite! We discovered them in Thibodaux, and after I had moved away to go to college, they opened a location in Houma. They are a fantastic, reasonably-priced pizza option if you're in the mood for something better than Domino's and Pizza Hut. They have a friendly environment, and great folks working for them. Did I mention that the pizza is absolutely fantastic? My entire family loves this place, and now that I've moved away, I miss it dearly! I was back in town last week for my mother's birthday, and we actually rented a room for them between the dining area and the Piazza Bar for a private party. I'm not quite sure what the costs were, but my parents are always looking for a deal, and had no complaints about price. The package that they purchased was one that did NOT include alcohol, but included two pizzas and two sides - all unlimited! We even had two waiters for our group of 20, and were able to participate in the "Ladies Night" free glass of wine and 2 for 1 beer specials at the bar. My all time favorite small town restaurant. I prefer the coziness of the downtown Thibodaux location, but the Houma location is great for parties and kids. Not only do they offer amazing homemade pizzas, but the menu is stocked full of mouth-watering appetizers and pastas. My favorite is simply the spinach and artichoke dip with fresh pita bread triangles. And then there is the awesome drink menu! From Godiva martinis to the Peppers Bloody Mary, everything is a winner!
