She wasn't in it for the points, she genuinely wanted to get me into a good apartment. I told her I work from home now and I wanted a 2bd1ba or a 1bed1ba with a den/study. While we found a few matches, she suggested a normal 1bed1ba but in a "nicer" complex. As someone who lived in an extremely crappy and shady complex, I was interested if the price is right. Rachel narrowed the search down to two complexes and we successfully scheduled a tour with one. I ended up applying for that one to lock in the price and I'm so glad I did. When I toured the unit I was in love! It was smaller than my current place, but still had plenty of room to work. It had a patio, a fireplace, and a washer and dryer hookup. Sadly after moving in we realized the washer and dryer I was inheriting were too big. But that's okay. I have a HUGE storage unit to house everything until I'm ready to sort! As new resident, I feel almost bamboozled. One major issue for me is the pool. It's a nice pool to…read morelook at but it's only open during office hours on weekdays and then 10-7 Sat and Sun. Summer just started and because I also work regular business hours, I can only use the pool on the weekends, and at that, sunset is almost at 9pm but the pool closes at 7pm. The lease says 10a-10p and I've made several complaints but nothing has changed. One (out of the two) workout machines in their already small gym has been broken since I toured this place in April. The unit I leased is not in the best shape. There was a major leak in one bathroom and I submitted a maintenance ticket that was cancelled by management immediately before work done, therefore it took a few days to resolve. The bathroom sinks are rusted and bathrooms are outdated in general, appliances are old and wonky. The kitchen has two tiny drawers which will not fit a standard utensils tray. I noticed that rates went down for units larger than mine, but because I had already reserved my unit, they couldn't honor the price difference. Besides the cosmetic complaints, my experience is mediocre at best. I'll definitely be leaving an updated review 12 months from now.
