Today is the 4th of July and we had a plumbing emergency that required repairing today. We contacted this company and they had a technician out to take care of us within the hour on a holiday weekend. What is so amazing is that 29 years ago, my wife had just given birth, and we contacted them once again on the 4th of July; however, that time our air condition unit went out. If you live in Florida, you already know how hot a home will get without any AC. This company sent a technician out and saw that we had a newborn and was determined not to leave until he had us up and running again. That repair even had the technician in our attic which had to be over 100 degrees at the time and yet, he was not deterred in anyway. What I know about Perdido Heating and Air is that they are a company that CARES about their community and even willing to take time away from their own families on weekends and holidays or in this latest incident, both to ensure those of us in need are helped. I gave a rating of 5 stars, but my family would give them 100 stars if allowed because this kind of service is RARE these days dare, I say almost non-existent. Recently moving to this area, we bought a home that needed a lot of updates and long overdue maintenance work. We reached out on Yelp to find an AC company with good reviews that could come out and service our AC. We found perdido heating and air that had great reviews and their office was just down the street from our house. When we called to ask for an appointment for service the person we spoke with on the phone was very professional and courteous, and we were able to get an appointment very soon. The service technician team Call Dess ahead of schedule and said they could actually come out earlier if that was OK which of course we jumped right on that. So when Mr. Perry and his Assistant showed up we were very pleased. They checked everything out very thoroughly of course serviced our unit gave us some recommendations and we went with some system updates that would help It operate more efficiently. Everything was explained to us so thoroughly, they answered all our questions and did not make us feel like idiots because we didn't know anything about it. They even completely cleaned the area around our unit. So everything was cleaner and looking better than when they arrived. They were so respectful and professional, always looking for ways to help us save money and even giving us tips for a more energy efficient home. It was a pleasure to have them in our home, and it's so nice to know they are very close by if we need anything at all. It turns out they take care of pretty much all of the homes in our little area so we see them all the time coming through the community. They even stopped to check on us just to ask how we are doing and make sure everything is OK. Who does that anymore? We've hired so many professionals for various things since we purchased the home but I will tell you perdido heating and air is at the top of the list! read more

So many great reviews, but the service I got does not match what reviews are saying. They damaged a door, left stick stuff on door handles and floor for me to clean up, sealed ducts but left a huge gap around the main duct coming off the blower, and left two doors on my home standing wide open when they were done. Didn't find the back door was still open until about an hour after they left. There are way too many other choices in the area to recommend a company who provides this poor quality of work, even if they come back out and fix, will still be hard to give them a recommendation. read more

I never felt pressured or like they were trying to upsell me which was really reassuring since we're across the country and not able to physically see the unit. These folks are simply the best in promptness, courtesy, cleanliness, and most important--they know what they're doing and do it in a timely manner. I live in a rented condo that has probably the smallest, oldest ac unit in the complex, and it has required service 3 times in the 2 years I've lived here. Every time, the Perdido H & A folks have showed up on time or before (today they were 2 hours early!), and done repairs efficiently and well. And a bonus--they are friendly and courteous too. To say these folks are efficient, knowledgeable and friendly, is like saying an airline pilot is qualified to fly a glider. We were unhappy with the information we obtained from the phone conversation we had with Anderson Air, so we called Perdido Heating and Air. Thank you so-o-o-o much, Anderson Air. JJ and Carl came to our house, replaced the gas furnace and showed us a pile of mold that had collected inside the chute above the furnace. They installed a light to cure this problem, sealed our furnace closet, and climbed up on our roof to seal the vent coming out of our roof that services the carbon monoxide fan on the furnace. Who does this? There were more tasks they achieved that fall under the class of 'beyond the call of duty.' I wish there were more than 5 stars. My advice to folks suffering from air conditioning or heating woes, call the folks at Perdido Heating and Air. Even if you are having financial problems and you own your home, call them. Our A/C stopped working, after having a friend take a look he felt the blower motor went out. Luckily all parts were under warranty so I called this company and their customer service on the phone from Trish was great! Even more impressive was Darren, the technician who came out and fixed the unit. He was very personable, replaced the "module" and gave me tips on how to extend the life of my unit. We've been having problems with our A/C. They were able to come to our house, within an hour of my calling them. I am sure they are not always that available, but it was very convenient to have cool air by the time the day's heat got any stronger. Their technician was very helpful and knowledgeable. Contact this company with CAUTION!!!!! This company will come to your home, pour water from a hose on the unit for almost 2 hours and charge you $156. Then leave the unit NOT WORKING!!!!!
