I have Business Technologies calculate my payroll taxes for me, which is easier for my office situation. I have them do my tax preparation every year, as well, and I can call them throughout the year if I have any questions about my taxes. I need a tax service that will give me personal service and not charge me a huge amount. I find that the people at Business Technologies are very comforting. Getting your taxes done every year can be a stressful challenge and it is an enormous relief to have a really solid tax preparation service in your corner at all times. They do things like call up and remind me that I need to turn in my payroll report so they can do my taxes - and then I don't get charged a penalty for filing late. Throughout the Recession, Business Technologies were truly the best I could have had, because they were able to help me traverse that difficult time with my business. There have been times I had issues with my sales tax, but Business Technologies helped me get that straightened out. When I was refinancing my building Business Technologies came out and made sure my books were in perfect shape so I could have confidence in running the reports necessary for the bank. You upload your documents to a "secure site" (which is a joke I think? My browser gave me a warning about it not being secure and someone could be trying to steal my information - LOLZ!). Then you dont hear back from them for over a month. April 15th passes, no word. Luckily the tax deadline was extended this year (2021). When you call, you are told "its being reviewed and they will reach out to you, probably today." No one does. The next week you call again and they say the same thing. Then someone does reach out to you, huzzah! But it's not the person who did your taxes to go over them with you. That would be helpful. Instead you hear from the receptionist telling you your taxes are done and what you owe them and the government. Okay. Great. You look at your taxes and shit you owe A LOT. You're not used to owing SO MUCH. If you happen to have a question about something, they treat you like you're an annoying idiot and say "I've only been doing taxes for 34 years, I think I know the law..." Mmkkk. Yes, thats the reason you, and not me, are doing my taxes. And I'm ignorant, so I have questions. Jesus, I'm not attacking your intelligence. On the contrary, I'm seeking information to understand. If there is a mistake with the paperwork (payment math isnt adding up to the total balance, the first payment shows its already past due), when you ask about it, they tell you Tracy is busy and won't be able to look at whether the information is correct, for a month. A month, seriously. Your tax paperwork has errors and they can't even look at it to check their own work within a reasonable time frame. You need this information to be accurate because you need to take action on the information (the first payment is due in a couple weeks). Or is it already past due? Its too bad you're unimportant enough to get prompt service. I dont understand why someone else other than Tracy can look it over. She didnt even do them in the first place. Someone else there did. Not great service.

She was professional and friendly and very willing to answer my questions. She was responsive to my emails and phone calls and was excellent at explaining what was happening. I liked her so much that I had her do the 2012 tax returns as well (early, since the business was sold). I am so thankful for the work she did for me.

Very unprofessional!! Spoke with some Yahoo named MICHAEL today since Brian was out of the office…read morefor a week or so. He kept talking over me and would interrupt me when I was trying to explain things. I was very blunt and told him to stop talking over me but yet he continued to do it. his monotone voice with no inflection showed no concern or empathy for anything we were talking about. I was calling to find out why my premium went from $350 a month to $550 a month and he said it's because California insurance companies have been suffering a lot of claims and they need to pass that on to their customers so they are increasing our rates by 25%! When I asked about me adding a car two months ago and isn't that the reason why my premiums went up, he said, theoretically! Theoretically? He FINALLY looked into it and said yes, your premiums went up 13% by adding that vehicle. Makes sense. The 25% he was talking about has not even happened yet, come to find out!!! Took me 10 minutes to finally understand the real story from this clown. When I told him how rude he was being by continuing to talk over me throughout the entire conversation, he just acted like I never said anything and ignored my comments. He just kept talking over me. Probably one of the most unprofessional uncaring monotone bland "customer service" person (child) I've ever talked to. That might be an exaggeration, but he's definitely up there. Glad somebody's getting a 25% raise because it's not your customers! You, poor, poor Company, I really hope you survive! Lol. Stop trying to act like the victim. When every time you your business suffers, you simply increase our rates!!!
