Dog door installed for our backyard.
    Brian L.

Alonzo was able to fulfill our unusual request of adding an enclosed area outside a bedroom wall and a doggy door. He knew exactly what we wanted after we gave him a brief description. Alonzo is low maintenance - you don't have to check up on him. You can trust him and know he'll get the job done on a timely manner and for a good price. He did not try to increase the price of the project midway through like we've experienced with other contractors/handymen in the past. The estimate he gave was what we paid. However we did add a tip because he was nice and genuine person. Alonzo doesn't have a lot of reviews right now but I can almost guarantee you won't regret hiring him. Honestly I would hire him now before he increases his prices.

    what is this stud holding?

Nice bunch of people, but can't say the same for the quality of work. Originally I wanted to hire them to remove the carpet floor and install a new wall and few doors. They said they could do concrete leveling so I agreed to include that as well. Gotta say i regret that decision. First of all, the finished floor was not leveled. I had to bring in a leveler to point it out to them it was indeed a big slope. Their response? I dont know why it's not leveled. They went and bought the material to redo it, of course I had to pay for the material. Then the floor kept cracking and broke open. They said it was fine, and just put some mortar on it. A few months later after the work is completed, the floor is not leveled, and a huge chunk of the floor broke off. When I asked if they used any primer for the floor, they asked what the primer was. I had to hire another contractor to redo the floor, and pretty much needed to remove all the concrete work they did. Now to the 3 doors they replaced / installed. None of them can close, i mean none of the 3 doors works after a week after they left. I had to take out all of the shims and redo the doors. Also had to buy some wood filler to replace the bad screw position for the lock, which was completely blocked. During the renovation, I asked them to replace the window, which I agreed I would pay extra. The job was bad, there were random cuts in several places on my sidings. The patch work was horrible and I had to go find a matching siding for them to go buy and replace the patch work. They also put up a few studs to "hold" the window. The problem is these studs dont even touch the frame of the window so I dont really know what these studs are even for. They also do the lightning and electrical outlet for an extra fee. The lights work great, no complain there. The outlets they used were 20A, 15A should be fine, but that's ok. But the way they drill to connect the romex wire to the box was awful, live wire was just hanging there in the garage. After the project was over, trash was still everywhere, left over drywall pieces in the garage, left over food and drink in the basement, empty canister and scrap wood in the backyard. Overall, the price was expensive after I talked to several contractors, for a well below average quality job.

    After the stucco finish.

He served a free estimate, being on time, working on the schedule. Overall, he has been a skilled professional, a reliable contractor, a trustworthy working experience. Thanks.

Mr. P did a roof repair on my 4-season room. It was super fair price and he completed the work within a few days. I would recommend him.

Told me he'd come out the same day in the afternoon and then didn't actually bother to show up.

The team showed up on time, cleaned up each evening, was very polite and we are very happy with how everything turned out. They finished in a week as promised and their bid was fair. I can highly recommend them. Billi H.

Overall, I like the paint job Barbour did of the interior of my home. The price was unbeatable and…read morethey were very accommodating of our schedule; we were home for one week of the job, and away for the second as the ceilings had to be scraped. The colors are fresh and I love how they patched cracks and caulked things in. I give them 3 stars for a few reasons. The first being the mess. Our house was EXTREMELY dusty with gypsum when we arrived home at the end of the project, even in the insides of closets that hadn't even been painted. It took us days to wash and wipe everything down, and we were sneezing and itching the whole time and had to wear masks. I was told that everything would be cleaned with Simple Green, so it was very disconcerting that it clearly wasn't. Even now, weeks later, you can bump a baseboard and white dust will fall off/out. We have green overspray on our light colored stamped concrete walkway and the exterior siding of the house around it, texture on the tops of ceiling fans and light switches, and paint drips on our interior wooden floors, which had been covered. It seems like while we were home they were very meticulous, but while we were gone they felt free to be sloppy and disregard our property and belongings. Second, they removed a ceiling fan at my request, which I appreciated, but we came home to it broken, with paint all over it, and found it sitting in the pouring rain on the porch. Needless to say, we had to purchase a new ceiling fan and are very bummed that the old one is no longer usable. Third, I was not pleased that my request for a change order was ignored. The estimator, Rodger, was great. Friendly, accommodating and promised me the world. Once I signed the contract, though, I never heard from him again. I had sent him a change order in writing two days after I signed and never heard back. I figured he maybe would tell the crew what I wanted. I felt like I had to hound the project manager about things that weren't done "correctly" because nobody ever acknowledged the change order. I even told him what I wanted more than once, and offered to pay extra to ensure they got done. But in the end I just gave up on getting everything I wanted.

Estimate was very competitive and I had a good feeling about the work. I wasn't let down, his crew came and went above and beyond everyday. Not only did they do an amazing job they were incredibly nice and so thoughtful. Little things like keeping the area clean and tidy, making the area liveable even if it was only for a couple hours before they came back. Even pulling out and in our trash cans. They treated our house as theirs. Not to mention the lines were clean and everything turned out exactly how we envisioned. 10/10 would recommend!

Myron didn't ask me for a review and I don't tend to post online feedback but there are few quality craftsman around these days -- and this crew deserves a shout-out. My project involved specialized work on a distinctive historic structure. I first hired Myron and his crew 20 years ago to paint my Victorian home and it still looks great today. I wanted to hire Myron again for a second project, but it wasn't in my budget at the time, so I went with "the other guy" nine years ago. Big mistake. This summer, I hired Olson Painting to "repaint" and do the job right. There's really not a more truer way to say this: you get what you pay for. The difference between a good paint job and an exceptional one is worth the investment when you consider its longevity: the prep and properly sealed joints on century old siding, repair of deteriorated glazing compound on the windows, and consistent application with transitions. Myron and his crew are trustworthy, patient, meticulous, and they take no short cuts with getting those details right. I absolutely recommend hiring Olson's Painting for your next paint job!
