For reference, I drive a 2022 Honda civic with less than 40k miles on it, so my car is very well taken care of. If I take it to the dealership it typically costs me about $75 for an oil change. I was charged $90 here and they forgot to turn off the check light as well, so I had to go back inside to request they turn it off. I felt like I was taken advantage of here, they were not transparent with their prices, and did not even fully complete the job. I was very disappointed as the service did not match the almost five start review here.

I had a really disappointing and honestly upsetting experience at Chavez Tire Shop. I showed up…read morewell before their posted closing time of 4 PM (3:32 PM) for 1 tire, only to be turned away. When I politely mentioned that their hours said 4 PM online (only as a suggestion of fixing it so people wouldn't come during close up), the workers were rude and dismissive. What really got to me was that one of them completely ignored my question of shop hours to ensure I had the correct times.. but when a male customer standing nearby asked the exact same thing, he got an explanation right away. Then, after telling me they couldn't take me, they went ahead and serviced another male customer that pulled up after me.. right after turning me away. It felt unfair and disrespectful. This was my first time coming here, and I expected better from a place I've heard good reviews about. I left feeling extremely upset with how I was treated. I really hope management addresses how customers are being treated, because no one deserves to be made to feel like that.

Sounds scary apparently - it's the easiest oil change in the world, you don't even need to jack it up. I just have a broken back and can't get down on my knees without great effort. First they will tell you they are just a tech and they don't give prices over the phone. It's a 5 minute oil change, you have a price. Just tell me $100 due to the luxury tax and I would have gladly driven down. Then they will tell you that they won't let you provide your own parts... I'm not going to wait for you to order a filter and oil from overseas when I have the oil and filter here, preordered! Once you tell them that they say they are afraid to scratch it. This isn't an expensive car, and that's what insurance is for. If you're afraid you're going to scratch this, I assume I can't take any of my other cars to you either? Who would have thought a competent shop would be so hard to find? Luckily a guy down the street was the exact opposite. Said he would love the chance to wrench on an oldie and he charges $20 bucks if I bring the supplies. Problem solved.

When…read moreI got back in my car to leave, I couldn't turn on the AC, or lower the windows or work the sunroof. Don't know if the breaker controlling those got jostled or what during the inspection, but I alerted the service writer, Sabrina, to the issue, who immediately reported it to the service manager. I explained that all of these things were working when I brought my car in, and how very uncomfortable it made me to have this problem after a mere inspection. They wheeled it right back to the shop, and resolved the problem either via a reset or securing something that was knocked loose. Appears to have been just an accident on the part of the tech. I would suggest testing the windows and AC anytime they work on or test electrical systems...and as consumers, we should always test at least those basics before we pull away. As a woman who has worked in car sales, and is also a consumer, I understand how it makes us feel like we have "sucker" stamped across our foreheads when the car must go in the shop...and I felt heard when I said as much to the service manager. He was respectful. They handled this well, and I would consider them for future work or when I am again in the market for a vehicle. I sat in the waiting area, which was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff were friendly. I will also give major kudos to Sabrina. She was knowledgeable and kind, which I greatly appreciate!

The service manager is very persistent on you getting things fixed right then. On one occasions he d had the nerve to ask me ," Can you tell me why you can't have this service done?" Then I find out , unlike other dealerships Joe Pecheles charges an extra fee to use your credit card.

After they kept the car for 5 weeks one of the issues still wasn't fixed. I had another vehicle…read morethat was also needing some other maintenance so they let me take my vehicle until the part they had ordered came in. My car was totally trashed out with mud in the drivers side floor. It was in the carpet & everything. I was able to clean it up but while I was doing so I found that one of the idiots must have left the passenger window down for an extended amount of time because the carpet on the passenger side was SOAKED. A few days later, when I thought I had their mess behind me, I opened my trunk to put some grocery bags in & discovered that they must have left the trunk open in the rain also. The trunk inside was soaked. Due to the moisture there was mold growing on the soft cooler I keep back there (see picture). You would think people would have more common sense, decency, and respect for other people's property. I expected better from them. My vehicle will never go back to that place!! I don't know what happened, but they really dropped the ball on this one. I've been driving this car for 14 years and never has it been in the shape they left it in within a few weeks.
