For reference, I drive a 2022 Honda civic with less than 40k miles on it, so my car is very well taken care of. If I take it to the dealership it typically costs me about $75 for an oil change. I was charged $90 here and they forgot to turn off the check light as well, so I had to go back inside to request they turn it off. I felt like I was taken advantage of here, they were not transparent with their prices, and did not even fully complete the job. I was very disappointed as the service did not match the almost five start review here.

On Dec 23, I found this outdoor, shop with few bays under sheds on a bitterly cold morning. The Tech was experienced, meticulous, and careful till he got yelled by his 3 feet 10 tall 300 lbs shop owner for taking too long. He began rushing and split the lug nut in half by power Wrench and was not able to put the under engine cover back leaving few screws out. I felt sorry for the poor low paid tech, even he broke the lug nut and left work unfinished. Cost is lower then most other shops in the area owner runs like a mafia boss. I had a really disappointing and honestly upsetting experience at Chavez Tire Shop. I showed up…read morewell before their posted closing time of 4 PM (3:32 PM) for 1 tire, only to be turned away. When I politely mentioned that their hours said 4 PM online (only as a suggestion of fixing it so people wouldn't come during close up), the workers were rude and dismissive. What really got to me was that one of them completely ignored my question of shop hours to ensure I had the correct times.. but when a male customer standing nearby asked the exact same thing, he got an explanation right away. Then, after telling me they couldn't take me, they went ahead and serviced another male customer that pulled up after me.. right after turning me away. It felt unfair and disrespectful. This was my first time coming here, and I expected better from a place I've heard good reviews about. I left feeling extremely upset with how I was treated. I really hope management addresses how customers are being treated, because no one deserves to be made to feel like that.
