I asked if their calls were recorded; she said yes. So I told her to go listen to the call where she sold me the package -- January 8th, 2025 between 5-6 PM. She said she and her manager would review it and call me back. They never did. No apology. No explanation. No solution. They also refused to share the recording. I asked if I'd be able to hear it once they found it. She said no. At this point it's pretty clear: do not get tattoo removal here. They mislead people, they dodge accountability, and the machines look like they belong in a museum. Please learn from my experience and avoid getting scammed.

This place works with a referral system, and after my friend referred me, I was able to have eight laser sessions for free. Semper uses a Candela laser machine, which, according to the laser techs, after finishing the treatment, no more hair will grow in the area. Before my first session, I was taught about how the machine works, and how it affects the growth of my hair. This was really helpful in understanding the treatment and made me less nervous during my first session. I normally go every six weeks, and they have appointments ALL day! I recently had to switch to going during nights because of work and they have appointments late in the day (around 7:30). I am only in my fourth session, and I have seen less growth in the area where I'm doing the treatment, there is some hair still growing. Hopefully by the time I finish all the sessions I'll see a difference.

I set up 9 visits for facial hair removal to be done at the Tropicalaser at the Kendall office,…read moremade all 9 payments upfront. On my second visit I was informed that the Kendall office was closing and therefore I would have to start going to the one at Doral. I was always treated well by the employee who took care of my treatment at the Doral clinic, but on my 5th visit the employee was not there, so the owner (clinical director) took her place that day. The experience was completely different, the laser machine had never been applied so intensely and after the 1st to 2nd minute the owner (who just so happens to be RN) stopped the treatment informing me that my skin was having a reaction and that I should go home and schedule another visit. When I arrived home I realized I had suffered a deep burn above my upper lip, caused by the totally irresponsible usage of the laser machine. I called the clinic the next day informing the owner that I had suffered an intense skin burn from the laser. I spent over 3 months sending her pictures of the burnt area and requesting help, as I always insisted it was a burn she would disagree calling it a minor scab. Making a long story short I requested a full refund due to all the inconveniences I had, such as, not being able to get any sun for over 3 months (affecting my work), having a massive and embarrassing burn scar with pus dripping over my lips everywhere I went. After 3 months of many calls and speaking directly with the owner, she finally agreed that she was responsible for the recklessness of the way she handled the laser machine. But, she would not agree on giving me a full refund, she gave me a partial refund for the visits I had not used. Due to my busy life and work I did not have many other options, so I ended up accepting the partial refund, upon arriving at the office was informed I had to sign a letter of agreement that I would not take further actions (court). We'll all I can say is that after 5 treatments and the terrible scar I now carry, the laser hair treatment from this clinic made ZERO difference removing my facial hair. It has all grown back, the only place it does not grow is on the new scar I now carry.

My friend also did laser at Prestige and she had better results than me which tells me it may be because of her tone of skin being the Caucasian type and I'm more olive skin that the machine they use here which is the Candela Yag did not worked for me. I decided to do my underarms because I had to shave my underarms every. single day. I also decided to do Brazilian because I prefer being hairless in that area. I am currently on my 6th laser hair removal session for my underarms and the 5th for my Brazilian. I am sooo happy with my results so far. Currently I have no more growth of coarse black hair at all and only patchy thin hair. I don't have to shave until I go to my next appointment. It takes about 8-12 sessions that you do every 4-6 weeks. Is there pain? The underarms are very tolerable, I almost don't pay attention to it even at the highest setting. However, the Brazilian, oh man, you can get sweaty from the session and sometimes you have to ask them to give you a break buuuut I will take the few seconds of pain for not shaving and would still recommend laser to everyone even in this sensitive area. You won't regret it! :)
