So Tillies makes me very sad, but also very happy! It seems the masses of Clontarf do be in and out of here all day and everyone is really friendly. I was here recently for a chin-wag with an old friend and we enjoyed our 90 minutes or so in the bright, bustling surroundings. We each had a cappuccino and a scone. The cappuccino was decent. Not too milky - just how like it. The scone was a wee bit dry but good all the same, served with cream and jam -my favourite! The staff were lovely, very friendly having chats with customers (everybody knows everybody so of course they are!) and just being generally smiley, which makes the cafe quite cheerful.

They also do sandwiches. The coffee is proper barista coffee and delicious, id happily sit here all day, chilling out, sitting beside the open stove heater in a glass house type environment, no rushing you out, just so peaceful. There's also a vegetable shop attached to the garden centre and durinf the week apparently there's music, I'll have to make this my new chill out place, especially for the summer months, right beside the sea front and great spot to go to after a walk. Well needed spot down here!
