I am very sad with my experience. I walked in and asked the lady to please not mention how bad my brows where because I was embarrassed. I'd been busy. I also tend to cry when I get them done and I told her it wasn't her and again to please not mention it. Out of embarrassment. She then proceeded to tell me how thick my eye brows were and mentioning how much it will hurt even though I clearly explained myself. I had been to this place once or twice before with my younger sister who is a regular. I remember Penny being cold but this time it was out of control. She was being extremely aggressive with the thread and became angry with me when I asked to get an eyelash out of my eye. Then when I asked her not to do my chin because I get laser there, she snapped at me saying she already knew that so I should be quiet. When I left, I made a comment that I wouldn't be coming back because of her rude attitude. She proceeded to chase me out of the store and threaten to call the cops. Totally insane and weird. I wish I had read the reviews before I went here. The owner lady is one of the rudest I have ever met. When i go somewhere to get a service I expect a service not to be scolded for asking what I want. I am paying her! I am the customer. i've been seeing this lady for a little over a year now...i still don't know her name. although my eyebrows look pretty decent every time i go, she tells me the same thing every time i come in and now i am not going there anymore. today was the last day. she tells me every single time i come in that someone messed my eyebrows up and when i tell her i only come see her she refuses and says it's not her work. like okay? i have only ever been to her and i don't pluck/wax my own eyebrows EVER. i only ever get a thread done from her and she is CONSTANTLY pushing me to get a tint when i'm HIGHLY allergic to dye, and then proceeds to tell me it's "organic" - which i could completely understand until the one day i let her FINALLY tint them and my allergic reaction spiked up. read more

The very first time I went here I was extremely happy with the job Penny did. The last time I came here I could tell she was making my eyebrows thinner and I verbally told her to leave them as thick as possible. Today I tried this place for the last time. My eyebrows are extremely thin now because of her. I had purposely left them overgrown so she could just clean them up. There aren't as many threading places in metro D as I was used to in the SF eastbay :( With limited options, this place seems to be the better of the ones I have tried. Only four stars because I feel like she goes very quickly, however, it doesn't seem to take away from the quality of her work...I just personally prefer someone who takes a little more time with you. The price is slightly better than the threading booth in the Oakland Mall, and as a plus, it's located in a private salon vs people walking by in the mall. Had penny do my eyebrow. She was the only one working. Very speedy and fast for my taste. My old eyebrow lady in California use to take her time which I loved because I felt like she was being careful with her every move not to mess up. However penny had me scared from all the eyebrow hairs I felt her threading off. I asked for a clean up not a reshape. Although I did walk out of there with thinner eyebrows then expected they are nicely shaped. I'm not sure if I will be returning. read more

I have been here so many times and each time I leave I'm so disappointed. My eyebrows are always uneven I don't even know why I go back. Last time I was there the woman's husband did my eyebrows. It was horribly painful and didn't care at all that I was crying because of how bad it hurt. Once I told him that it was enough and I needed him to stop for a minute so I could wipe my tears he started yelling at me. I didn't know what he was saying but his daughter snapped at him and said "Stop yelling and walk away" and then she gave me a tissue to wipe my tears and to dab lotion on my eyebrows. When I looked at the tissue it had blood on it, which freaked me out because they've never bled before from this. When I went to pay (which I should have refused to) the man looked at me and turned his back to me as if I had done something wrong. I will NEVER EVER EVER go back there because of this. So rude. She does work fast, but have always been happy with her work. When busy husband threads lips and chins, does nice job, a little slower than his wife. Have never had a complaint, so don't know if the reviews about hostile treatment are accurate. Just OKAY and Yes the lady is awful. I never write reviews, but I am stewing every time I look in the mirror at the TERRIBLE job she did on my brows. I am very particular about my brows, and very critical, but I kid not when I met my friend for happy hour right after getting my brows done at this place and she said, "OMG what happened?!" That is how awful one was compared to the other. I have one brow that there is a patch that never grows in, and every time I go in, this lady (Penny I think is her name) aggressively ACCUSES me of tweezing in that spot, then goes on a rant the entire time she is working on me, saying how "she has done brows for 20 yrs...she knows when someone has tweezed..blah blah blah". Alllllright ya NUT, just shut up and do your job! Today was the final straw in me deciding to never go back, as she was super sloppy and I asked her to go over one brow, where she did not do the arch nearly as high and angled as she did my other. She first fought me on it saying they were perfect, and then went over it- angry the entire time she worked, and made it look like a "sperm brow". I should have just not said anything, but I didnt think she would be that unprofessional and TRY to make one look drastically crazy to make a point! I am still PISSED! and will be until these grow out, at which I will NEVER go back. On top of that, they only accept cash...which is just annoying in itself. If you are not particular about your brows and don't care about customer service, then you may not have an issue with this place. So ya the woman is a nut case, and her work is half assed. I prefer threading over waxing my brows so whenever I return to Michigan, I make it a point to get my brows cleaned up at Perfect Eyebrow. The woman here is quick and always pleasant, so I am surprised by the other Yelp comments. I was charged $12 instead of $10 since it had been more than 3 weeks, but my brows really needed work, so I didn't mind paying extra and I still tipped. (In Nov. 2012 I was not charged extra, but was in Sept 2013) I've tried a few threading places in the mall where I live and never have had the same quick, efficient and near pain-free process. She respects my request to not put lotion on after threading. read more

Unfortunately, I did not have "Perfect Eyebrows" after leaving here. I had gone about six months without getting my eyebrows threaded since I refused to go anywhere but my usual threading woman. Since I moved from my regular area and needed to get my brows in order I went to this location. First, it was an odd experience because instead of holding my own skin when the threaded was being performed the male owner of the business held my skin. My reaction to this was, " I have never had this done before but ok." So the woman very quickly did my eyebrows, after threaded the man came back combed my brows and with one swoop just chopped my brows. Again not what I am accustomed to, I am used to the threader cutting them based on the individuals eyebrows which did not happen here. After leaving I had one eyebrow that was sort of arched and one eyebrow that was rounded and a slit in my brow from not taking the time to trim them properly. My eyebrows looked horrible from the man just chopping them with scissors after the threaded (from past experience trimming happens before threaded). I am only giving two stars because the woman performing the threading was extremely nice but overall I would not recommend others to go and I will not return. If you still decided to give this place a try, make sure to have cash on hand. read more

I have been waxing all of my life and decided to try threading. This place is fast, cost effective and they do amazing work. My eyebrows have never looked so good and last for 3 weeks way longer then waxing. Decided to try the eyebrow tinting today and it turned out great. No more eyebrow shadow for me. If I could give them a 0 I would. Completely ruined my daughter's eyebrows. She came home in tears. The eyebrows are thin and uneven. One starts at the nose bridge, the other over the corner of the eye. They are also arched differently. A four year old could do a better job. Almost seemed like Penny did this purposefully, because I can't imagine how she could create such a disaster. I have been going to "Penny" for over 2 years. Until today I told everybody about this place. Today she was beyond rude. DON'T go there. She asked me if it had been 3 weeks since I last came in for service. I told her it was more like a couple months. She then proceeded to say her boss is insisting on charging $12 for the extra hairy so I MUST come every three weeks or her fee will be $12 instead of the posted $10. I said that I wouldn't be back in three weeks but rather a couple months and that it would need to be posted on the wall for their prices to reflect that increase. She said it depends on each person and it wouldn't be posted and it will be $12 next time. I told her I sadly wouldn't be coming in again and explained how I always speak highly of her to my friends. She rudely said "That's ok.... Then don't come back- have a nice evening." The time she spent on me was no longer than a few minutes. The same time she spent on the person in front of me. ???? I have been coming here consistently (meaning once or twice a month depending on my hair growth) since I moved back to the area in October. I had visited before that even, but I began to be a regular here. However I will not be giving these people my money again. I always notice lack of sanitary measures, but my last visit was terrible in terms of cleanliness. Strings every where, they only used hand sanitizer on their palms (not actually washing their hands between guests), and then they always put the string in their mouth which is nasty. Penny is always short and to the point, never gentle. This last visit she was extremely rude. She had asked if this was my first time in because of how long my eyebrows were. But when in reality I had to let them grow out because the last time SHE did them they weren't """perfect""". In the past she has said she recognized me so I don't know how she didn't this time. But then she told me my growth wasn't even and who ever did them last was to blame (it was her). I even told her she always does them. Thinking maybe she forgotten about me. But she only made me feel bad for wanting to let her correct her mistake. It's always a painful process but this time she was particularly rough, leaving me bleeding in two places. I visited Perfect Eyebrow today, May 24th 2017. It was around noon and there were three customers in front of me. While I was waiting, two more customers entered the salon. When my turn was coming up, the woman doing the threading told me to sit in the chair all the way at the end. She then proceeded to wink at the woman who showed up after me and told her to sit in the chair to go next. I was fuming inside and decided at that moment to leave. Due to the fact she greeted that customer when she arrived I assume she was a regular. I was planning to become a regular depending on how my eyebrows turned out. However due to the blatant disrespect of the employee I will never visit this establishment again and I will advise others to do the same. read more

If a HALF STAR was available I would choose it. Initially, when I first came in to have my eyebrows threaded I was very hesitant because my first experience with threading turned out horribly. The India lady was so nice and convinced me that her threading approach was different and wouldn't hurt. Well, she was correct, however, I returned to her yesterday and she was extremely rude. She was getting ready to thread my eyebrows when she noticed I had a credit card, she said I don't accept credit cards while pointing aggressively at the sign as though I couldn't read. When I returned with the money I heard her speaking to the next customer rudely about me and our encounter. I told her I was nervous because my eyebrows grew out. She hurled out "Every two weeks you come back" in front of everyone disciplining me as though I were a child. She start threading my eyebrows and throughout my experience she nagged about my not holding my eyebrows correctly. Occasionally, she cursed at me in her language throughout my threading experience. She asked me to sit up in a bit in the chair and snapped at me because tried to position myself with one of the chair arms. Later she told me to put my hands down (frustratingly) and she would just do it herself. I felt her literally snatching (ripping) hair from my eyebrows, it hurt tremendously. I paid $12 and left. I thought it was $10 but I couldn't argue because my eyebrows were full and needed extra work. Lastly, I woke up today and notice how portion of my skin below my eyebrows (and on the side) were ripped off and the skin was scabbing over. One eyebrow was shorter on the side, so I filled them in to compensate for her errors. I called her back to inform her of her errors and how irritated my skin was, she behaved rudely and denied how rudely she behave the yesterday. *****DO NOT GO HERE. The lady is moody, rude, and inconsiderate of her customers needs. She will rip your skin off your face. She's bias too. Extremely poor customer service. read more

Although I have been going here for 1 year and everything has been just ok; I will never return based on what happened there today. The place was completely empty, I always go when it is slow. While she was doing my eyebrows I received an unexpected phone call from my surgeon. I politely excused myself and let her know it was an emergency from my doctor, please excuse me. The conversation lasted exactly 5 minutes (I checked my phone). I again apologized to her. SHE WAS ANGRY! Go here for the perfect brow, no seriously! I have only been once, which is insane, seeing I live across the street. I am just a little cheap from time to time and I will do home waxing. Also, the fact that they do not take credit card hinders me, as I never carry cash. So, I have been dying to go back and really need to. The first time I went was the first time I tried threading. It hurt more than waxing, because it takes longer. It kinda feels like getting a carpet burn. BUT the stylist has more control over the shaping. She did a great job...it was totally worth the wait. These People are so rude! I should have stop going awhile ago. She is the only who touch my eyebrows in 3, every time I got in she asks me who messed up my eyebrows and why am I still tweezing. I always close my eye and the last time I opened them and her husband was threading my eyebrows instead of her and really messed my eyebrows up. I went to pay on my card and I was going to tip cash. I look on the receipt because I look at everything I sigh. Penny's husband yelled at me and was telling me why I was looking at it and I told him I look at everything I sigh. I went there this weekend and was extremely unhappy with the service. First of all, they switched in the middle from the woman to the man, in the middle of doing my eyebrows. I wasn't satisfied with the job she did and had asked the man to go over a spot and he said, its looks fine and I politely requested to clean that area up. The man started yelling and said, it will not cost you $20 and then when i looked again and had another spot, he was rudely yelling $30, while the women said, you should be fine with the service. I've been a regular here for quite some time now. So, I've seen the pros and cons of this place. Almost every single time I come here, I walk out happy and satisfied with the end result. The only problem with that is, she's not consistent with her work hence the reason why there's so many bad reviews about this business. Usually, I'm a stickler when it comes to customer service so when a situation would come up and I'm not happy with management or the employees involved, I would leave and never come back. It's different for me here though. I come here for my brows and brows only. I'm not here to criticize her or tell her how to run her business the way I think she should. All I want is some fresh new brows and to be on my way. Sure, she's messed up a few times but I can't hold her accountable for it because the good always weighs out the bad. I'd have to say the cons about Perfect Eyebrow is that she's not always professional about the way she handles situations, she does base her attitude on the tip you give her and if she sees people coming in or it starts getting busy; she'll rush. But once again, I can't hold her accountable because majority of the time I'm happy with the experience. Customer service may not deserve the full five stars, but the overall experience and the finished product definitely does. read more
