Marie rush through the Pedicure so she can seat the two waiting customer. Once they get you in the chair you stuck while she working on someone else. I never had someone do half the job sit you back in lobby waiting again to have my manicure done. I didn't get a manicure, just a fill in although zip was charged for a manicure. I went & had a pedicure, full set of nails & gel manicure. The young man did an awesome job, but... The things they put between your toes had seen better days, by the look of them they had been used a long time. The flip flops were used also. When he set me at his work station, I was happy he had to go answer the phone, my side of the work station was dirty. I cleaned while he was not there. Went w my bestie here for pre Mexico mani's and Pedi's for a girls day and to celebrate Liz's birthday. We called on Friday to see if they could fit the 3 of is in together for Sunday, but they couldn't cuz they were booked up. They offered to open early in order to accommodate our request, so we booked it. Now that's customer service! I ended up paying for Liz and I, and for 2 Mani and Pedi's it was $95, not cheap but certainly not expensive and totally worth the money. My mother and I came here to get pedicures, we didn't have an appointment but it was an early morning so we were seated in our chairs right away. An older lady started to do my toes, she was very nice and professional, the only problem was she didn't speak English well so there was a bit of an communication issue where I couldn't understand her. She did a good job with the pedicure but I didn't like the polish once I left. I think they need to update their nail polishes, the area around me was a little messy, they should probably clean up around their stations before taking customers. They are also a little on the expensive side, my gel pedicure was $55. I found the guy doing my mother's pedicure a little unprofessional as he blurted out to us that he does "brazilian waxes", because my mother's legs were hairy. I guess he thought it was a good joke but ew, no it wasn't. I don't know if I'd go back to them, it is very hard finding a good nail place. I'm on the search! read more

Wow, people were pretty harsh on this salon. They seem to do an excellent business. I arrived about 9:50 and by 10:00 (their posted opening time) all 8 of their pedicure chairs were full. I didn't have any of the problems the other reviewers mentioned. They had signs on the wall saying they will open sanitized tools in front of you or else your service is free. I won't be back just because I don't live in the area, but this place really wasn't as terrible as everyone was making it out to be. read more

Yesterday I was excited to take my daughter for her first nail experience. We were greeted with smiling faces and two young ladies asking what services we needed, the experience with those two women was fine. They treated my daughter and I with respect and completed the services we asked for, it wasn't until one of the owners ( the husband) started telling another customer that they did not have the ability to take a card payment due to their current remodel taking place. Obviously that immediately concerned me beacause that was that only form of payment I had with me, I began to ask questions, if the neighboring businesses has ATM machines because if not I would need to leave and go to one. The young lady that completed my daughter service informed the owner (the wife) and that's when everything went down hill. She began to yell in her native language making accessive hand gestures and constantly looking at the bill for $70. My daughter grew uncomfortable as did I, only I began to also feel embarrassed and angry that I was a black women with plenty of money to pay for my service and honestly everyone else's in the salon at that time but that didn't matter! Why wasn't this mentioned to me when we walked in the establishment or even posted on the door... smh. After I decided to not let her actions consume me I asked the male owner if it would make him feel more comfortable if I left my driver license with him until I got back with th cash they were requesting. He was completely in agreeance, however one of the other employees asked if I WOULD LEAVE MY 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER I HER CARE until I got back. Of course I continued to put on her shoes and coat said a firm NO and proceeded to leave. I went to the bank 2 lights over retrieved the cash and made my way back to the salon, once I walked back in the joy that erupted from the salon staff was disgusting. One person even said " yay! You came back" as if I was going to leave my drivers license THERE and not pay for a service I had full intention in paying for when I first arrived. Will never come here again. Made an appt for 11am & was waited on immediately. I brought my mom so we had our nails done at the same time. We both wanted acrylic gels so we told the man what we wanted. The lady started to do my moms nails naturally & started to paint them. My mom said that wasn't what she wanted, she had wanted the acrylics with tips...so the lady started doing a French manicure without the acrylics. Fast forward to me, my experience was OK, but the end result of my nails are terrible. They look like I need a fill in & it's only day 1 of having them done. My nails are grey, my moms nails are red. I struggle with the rating. Let me preface I have an AWFUL pedicure experiences. This was by no means awful but it wasn't "wonderful" like others I have had too. I would say this salon is middle of the road. Average- so three stars seemed appropriate. Pros- if you are out of town and staying at a hotel by the outlet mall it's easy to walk to or get to Gets the job done Better massage chairs than average nail salon - the knead feature and positioning keys actually worked accordingly. I'm really disappointed when the chairs suck and have limited features. Cons- Prices are expensive for quality. I'm used to paying $35 for a pedicure and the tech spending significant time on my feet. At my home salon it's about 40 min total on the pedicure for the price and good quality. Here they spent about 20 min total and cut my nails too short. I didn't get a manicure but I saw the basic was $25... seriously? What happened to $18-22? Usually $25 is where gel starts. Little bit bit of language barrier but we worked through it I like the long lasting 7-10 day polishes and they do have these (plus) but not the brand I'm used to and colors limited The rest is neutral. Don't expect amazing don't expect bad. Just expect "ok." read more

I waited for my pedicure, they ran the water and 20 min later of soaking, I was about to walk out and step out of the now cold water. Employees are very rude and disrespectful. I believe I was taken advantage of, being a new customer and having never had my nails done. I explained that I was new to this and immediately felt like the employee working on me decided he could be sloppy because I wouldn't know any better. I was also purposely deceived into paying more. Luxor uses quality products and clean equipment! Those are the most important factors followed closely by the job they do on my nails, and Luxor nailed it. haha. I was very happy with the spa pedicure & gel manicure I received. Really good work and my legs felt great after the pedi. I was there for 3 hours, which was a bit long, but it was relaxing and I enjoyed it. This was absolutely the WORST pedicure I have ever had!! My feet are still sore and the nails are already chipped less than 24 hours. The salon worker was so aggressive on my feet I had to tell her to stop several times. She yanked my foot around by pulling on my big toe and clipped my nails and skin and made me bleed. The water was cold, but the lady acted like she didn't understand me and didn't change the water. Also the price is misleading.... quoted a certain price on phone and sign, but then argued with me that the price was higher. The place is dirty, off brand nail polish which is all used and dried up. I am always disappointed when I try a new nail salon and it's an awful experience. I was in the area early Saturday and needed a pedicure, and their sign was on and the door was propped open a little bit before 10am. I was the first one in the salon,I told them I'd like a pedicure and was waited on instantly. As the gentleman heated up the water in the pedicure chair, a female worker handed him a menu which he then passed along to me. The menu included different pedicures and ranges of prices. From $30 to $40-$45 (Don't remember exactly how much each one was) However, their sign posted on their wall stated $28 for a Spa Pedicure. I said to the guy that I'd like the cheapest pedicure. He responded with Okay (assuming he knew the cheapest his salon offered, $28 POSTED on their salon wall). He was quiet and it was very relaxing - but when it came time to scrub my feet he didn't use the normal tools that other salons do. Instead he used a scrub stone for dryness instead of the other tool, which didn't really help me. I want to leave a salon with the softest feet - not like nothing was done. Well, checkout time comes and they charged me $35 for a crappy pedicure. I didn't even complain because it's not worth it- they rip you off and don't care if you return. This nail shop was terrible I will never ever in a million years ever go to this nail shop again .For it to be located in auburn hills the customer service sucks. the man I had filed my nails down to where they were sore when he put the filling in he only put it in at the bottom so the top my nails are really thin the polish is painted all over my cuticles going halfway to the middle of my thumb which I don't appreciate. he was so busy watching everybody else and what they were doing inside the shop instead of doing my nails I've never seen some I do nails without actually looking at the nail to do it. Here is a picture of my gel french nails done at luxor on Friday August 10th. I went in 4 days later explaining that I got my nails done there Friday and just wanted them soaked off and regular polish put on, as my gel had ALREADY chipped off... He said it would be $10.00. I explained to him that gel should last 2-3 weeks. I was planning on them having the integrity, common sense, or maybe just business sense to fix this since it was obviously their fault. He told me $10.00 again and I just looked at him.. He looked at me like I was from Mars and said "You didn't expect this to be free, did you?" I said, "Yes, I did, you need to stand beside your product and the length of time it should last." He looked at me, again, SHOCKED that I could possibly think this would be free (I was going to give him a 5 dollar tip for the trouble). He again pushed the fact that it would be $10.00 and I then got up and told him I would be leaving and would NOT be back... Just a little FYI my total bill for services was $77.00 on Friday and I gave a $20.00 tip. My very LOUD AND STRONG advice is, don't go there, their products are NOT good, and their integrity is FAR worse... I went here this past weekend with two of my girlfriends. We made an appointment so we could get our mani/pedis together. We were placed in the pedi chairs to soak for about 30-45 min before a tech started performing the service. My mani was okay, but one of my girlfriends needed to have her nails repainted twice! The place became packed as we were there, with many customers soaking in the pedi chairs for 1 hr! The cleanliness was also questionable. After being pestered to upgrade our pedicure to "platinum" or "gold, my sister was left with 6 bloody cuticles, a manicurist who claimed oval was not a shape, she had no idea how to file nails, and continued to make rude comments such as, "you have sensitive skin", "you don't get enough manicures" and that she was too "picky", about the blood coming out of her fingers and toes!! The man doing my nails then insisted that my acrylics be taken off (I hadn't even had them on two months) he then did new acrylics on a few nails and overlays on the others. AWFUL. I've been there a few times and each time I am disappointed but thought to give them another chance. No more chances, don't care if it was free. Each time I've been they always seem to cut me and draw blood. What worries me even more is that when a customer is done and leaves the pedicure station, they just drain the water and start filling it up again - no cleaning or disinfecting. Yuck. Then the person I had washed their hands in my pedi water with my feet still in it! I never saw them wash their hands again as they worked on the next person. Then you sit in the chair as the person tries to service 3 other people at the same time. The nail work is sloppy and they continuously try to sell you additional services without telling you that it is at an additional cost. Do not go to this nail salon! Have never had a bad experience with a nail salon until I went today. It is more expensive than most and delivers poor quality. They rushed through my appointment painting my nails and toe nails very sloppy and tried to cut as many corners as possible. I also had my toe cut during my pedicure.
